    Birria Ramen

I don't even have words for this place. The amount of options you can choose from is insane. The fresh juice and horchatas they have are incredible too. This food was amazing. We got different options to try from because it was our first time. My winner was definitely the Birria Ramen. They definitely put a good amount of ramen and meat in it which I loved and the flavor was amazing. The carne asada fries you can never go wrong with it's just fries on the bottom and on top is meat with sour cream, pico, and guac the flavors together are so delicious and the portion was pretty big I had to get a to go box. The chilaquiles was a first for me and I did not think I would be a fan but they had amazing flavor to it we got it with the red sauce and it was not spicy at all. All the meals came with chips and salsa which the chips were not my favorite didn't seem fresh and taste kinda stale. Overall though the food was amazing and the portion was big for what you're paying. Service was great and they don't rush you to order.

My son told us about this spot that just opened up. We decided to try it for dinner with my wife and daughter. Located in a small strip mall with its own parking lot, it has pictures of some of the items on the windows. This definitely peaks your curiosity. There are many choices and all look savory. You can also build your own burrito. Birria beef seems to be the favorite ingredient in the majority of the dishes. I can definitely see why. You place your order at the counter and you take to your table when ready. Drinks are self serve. The meat is tender and the beef consommé can stand on its own. I got the Birria torta with cilantro and onions in every bite. My only complaint is that I would have like the bread a little more toasty, and also a cup of consommé to dip would be fire. I was lucky to have also ordered the Birria Ramen and used that to dip my sandwich. The side of fries were soft yet slightly crunchy on outside and perfectly seasoned. The Birria Ramen was my favorite. Cup of noodles with the consommé, plenty of Birria beef, onions and cilantro. Who would have thought this could all go so well. And the gooey cheese was the icing on the cake. You got a little bit of everything in every spoon/fork full! I ultimately just picked up the cup and jugged! My daughter got the Birria Fries, another great combination with just cilantro, onions, guacamole & sour cream. Amazing, and the servings are plentiful z my wife got the Chilaquiles with steak and green sauce(less spicy than the red sauce). It's bits of fried tortillas cut into triangles, topped with all of the above. Steak was cooked as best as possible since it's thin. The chips and salsa served with them were just ok. My tortilla chips did not taste fresh. I would have liked some hot sauce bottles on the tables or a salsa bar would be a plus. We could not decide on the aquas frescas(fresh juices) so we got a Piña, Jamaica, & Tamarindo. All were great, tamarind was a bit sweet for me. They were definitely refreshing. They had a tres leches cake that looked velvety & wet but we had overpassed our calories by like a million.....lol....next time, because we will definitely be back to try their breakfast items as well as the burritos. I think this place will survive and be a favorite spot for many. Prices and portions are reasonable.

Overall great service, the food was fresh and brought out fast. The place is very relaxing. Highly recommend it.

Been looking for a good Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Winston-Salem area after moving back…read morefrom Hawaii and we found a great one. Located in the same shopping center as Walmart on E. Hanes Mill Rd, this gem is housed in the same spot where the Hwy 55 burger joint was (I sure miss them). Parking is shared with other area merchants, and since it's quite a distance from Walmart's entrance, finding a space is not a problem. The restaurant is well-lit, comfortable and clean. We were promptly greeted and shown to a table. The menu had a great selection of ramen, bento, and sushi. While I was leaning towards sushi, I opted for the chicken katsu bento. The food came out quickly and I was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. Definitely a good value in my opinion. The only disappointment was their take on fried rice, which seemed more like a dirty rice you would get at Popeye's. Honestly, I think white rice would have been a better pairing for this dish. Great service throughout our visit and we're keeping this one on the short list.

They have Malaysian food and a specialty menu for khmer food. Khmer food is not knowned much in the east but its beginning to be more learned about and popular. There food is rich in flavor and there cuisine is mostly known for there use of fresh herbs, coconut milk and aromatic spice paste;known as kroeung(lemon grass paste). I decided to try some entrees from the Khmer menu. I tryed the Malaysian Roti appetizer with side curry. It is so so delicous. The curry is tasty too but a little too sweet for my taste. Main entrees I tryed was the chicken kroeung (sour lemongrass soup) and the braised pork meat on bone cooked in soy sauce( Malaysian style but Khmer people have a similar dish). The chicken kroeung is soup for the soul, filled with alot of green veggies and best eaten with white rice. The braised pork meat is great too. Cooked just right and seasoned good. Its not sweet or salty. Usually I would try braised meat in soy at other restaurants either it would be way too sweet or salty but they made theres just right. Now the Southeastern asian cooking is not for everybody or those who have only tried chinese or japanese food. If you'd like to try something different but oh sooo delicous, khmer cusine is for you!! The staff is very welcoming, friendly and informative. Food came out hot, quick and tasty(bursting of aromatic flavors). I met the owner too. He mentioned he also have a donut shop called Intown donuts and Boba tea..down the road on Jonestown Road. Will definitely dine here again and try there other menu items. Next time am going to try the donut shop before I come here since it closed earlier.

The teller line was in about the same spot as our table so a lot of memories flooded back. The atmosphere is definitely not bank-like - lots of large windows, black lacquer, sleek and modern but with colorful, timeless Thai accents. They were good (there were 5 or 6 and I ate all but one!) but the consistency of the chicken was not my favorite (finely ground, almost gritty) and they were a bit bland without the sauce. I was in a party of 11 and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Service was helpful and friendly. Gratuity was added to the bill due to the size of our party. I would come here again!

I would've probably left but we were starved and didn't have the brainpower to really try and brainstorm anything else. And it's ramen-how long could it really take. The waitress was prompt-I was afraid I would feel rushed but she seemed to have a hurried nature and it didn't feel directly related to it being close to closing. I ordered my ramen with no egg and spicy and it came with no spice and an egg. Disappointing to say the least because I've heard great things and expected better since in the short period of time we were there, so many people came in to pickup takeout orders. There was 2 pieces of thinly sliced pork in my ramen and it was mostly mushrooms. The broth was super flavorful I just wish I had more spice.
