The owner and mechanic are great. They were available on a Friday morning and finished same day, so that there was no worry over the weekend about having a car. The estimate was comparable to our usual mechanic that was out of town. The business is enthusiastic about their Christian faith and Jesus. I felt it as reassuring for me as a first time customer and woman. We even expected to need a new starter and possibly a battery. He checked all free and charged the battery without any additional cost or need for repair. Definitely exceeds all the expectations of QUALITY, EFFICIENCY & VALUE. I am current customer and brother in Christ of the owner Daryl and his sons. These guys help me with keeping my 2005 Chevy Tahoe chugging along. I recently had them install a new steering box as the old one was feeling sloppy. Derek (Daryl's son), made sure to order the best remanufactured steering box for me at a fair price, and have it installed in a couple of days. An alignment was also performed after install. The steering feels solid and the vehicle is no longer pulling aggressively to the right. All of their past work on this vehicle has been above board which gives me a solid peace of mind for future repairs. I had my car towed there based off a recommendation from AAA. When my car arrived, Chrysler 300 sport , they made sure to let me know it was there and kept me updated and informed on what the problem was. The people working there are very kind and friendly and will help you get the repairs you need done and even took it a step further by letting me pay the total over a couple of weeks (it was a lot of money due to a lot of work needed to be done). I can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend them and now it is the only place I'm taking my car to, as well as my other cars. They did an excellent job and I really think they are one of the few rare honest businesses out there in automotive services. My car runs beautifully. 5 stars for sure. read more

They threaten to refuse to fix my car again after they failed to do so the first time if i didnt edit review. Called me psycho too while yelling at me on phone. Update: From what should have been a free inspection of a functional car turned into a nightmare. Somehow 24 hours after they touched it my knock sensor went off, towed car back to them since there inspection pointed out a few other things, and thought my car was set after they 'fixed' it. Knock sensor went off again 24 hours later after getting car back after repairs but while on the freeway!!! Very scary. So knock sensor magically broken again somehow?? but they claim my engine wasn't knocking after first repair, towed it again, went back, and demand they fix what they failed to after first repair. Got it back second time and both cooling fans for engine and AC magically broke (was hissing loudly moment i turned it on after getting back 2nd time). Come to find out there was ZERO freon in there!!! Both magically happened after car was returned to me for second time; but somehow missed both those things on there first inspection??? very unlikely. Went to new place to find out about AC and 2 broken fans they only claimed one was 'broken' and was still drivable but if I drove it could have seriously damage my car!!!! i suggest you go elsewhere for automotive repairs. rude people & crappy service. read more

My check engine light came on and I called them to see if I was able to get it checked out. They were extremely busy of course because it was Monday. But they told me to bring it in they would at least take a look at it. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Thank God! It wasn't anything major. They reset the error codes and I was on my way. I have been here several times to get different repairs done on my car. They are very reasonable on repair costs. Most repair places always tell you that something needs to be repaired immediately. They have on more than one occasion told me I did not need to get something repaired And saved me lots of money. They are honest and reliable and go above and beyond. California car care did an excellent job on my 2001 GMC Sierra c3. My transmission went bad and the work they did on it was excellent. My truck feels awesome. They also repaired a few other issues that my truck had which I knew about but was hesitant to get them repaired due to being new to the area and not knowing a reliable shop to take it to. Thank God I found this shop and will be bringing in my cars in for reliable service. Daryl and his son are very thorough very polite and make you feel at ease with the repairs needed. I've dealt with many shops before where they don't update you take weeks for any repairs to get done and are not upfront with costs. Nothing like that with California car care. I moved up to Murrieta a year ago and was in the need to find a new mechanic. I found CCC after looking at many reviews and asking around. CCC is absolutely one of the best shops I've taken a car to in the past 25 years of taking cars to mechanics. I always get a little nervous taking my car to any mechanic as I'm no expert in automotive repair. I spoke to Daryl and he made me feel confident that he would take care of my needs and my car. He gave me an honest assessment of the situation and gave me a great price on the list of work I wanted and needed. It was near the holidays so Daryl even offered to spread the payments over a couple of months since I wanted quite a few things done to my car. Also, if you have any love for the military, you'll love this shop. It's like a little military museum in the reception area. Best of all, just talking to Daryl for a few minutes, you will be able to tell that he's just a great human being, full of positive energy and faith. As long as I live up here, there won't be any other shop I'll take my car to - besides the dealership if it's covered under a warranty :P Thanks Daryl. I kid you not, I would trust the owner of California Car Care with my life. I don't even remember his name, but I hired them to inspect a car I was looking at purchasing because the car had a pretty serious accident on the CarFax. He gave me a very concise expert opinion on the condition he felt the car was in, and told me not to worry about the $50 inspection charge. I insisted that I would pay him since he provided a valuable service to me, and we decided that when I bought the car, I would try to use his shop to do some minor maintenance, and I'd pay him then. Six months went by, I bought the car but I live about 30 min away from California Car Care so it didn't work out for me to have it repaired there. I just remembered the other day that I never paid this guy $50 for the initial inspection, so I called him today and explained the situation. I insisted again on paying him but he absolutely refused and wished me well. Such a good dude, makes me want to pay it forward and forgive my debtors. All you people who gave this place 1 or 2 stars: stop, just stop, y'all lying and you know it. Thanks CCC! read more

Derrick was over the top kind, informative and helpful during the whole process! My cars starter had been going bad for a while, sometimes I could get it to start and other times it would not. I have been putting it off as I thought that it would be extremely costly and especially with the holidays here, I just didn't think that I could afford it. Derrick took my car in the next morning after I called, and had it back to me within two hours! The price was more than reasonable, and although I had forgotten to ask for my core back, Derrick informed me it was already ready for me in my backseat all boxed up ready to turn in for my core deposit! I just spent 5 hours in this shop patiently waiting for a brake job to be completed with my 3 year old son, Captain Kyle with me. 5 hours!!! How did I do it? Because of Daryl, his son Derek and his staff at CCC. It took 5 hours for Daryl's staff to not rush through anything. Taking their time in making sure the new brakes on my car were worth saving my family's life one day. Inch by inch, and! Daryl and Derek continuously checked on us, even offered us a ride home so my son and I weren't waiting so long. Listen people YOU DONT GET THIS SERVICE FROM YOUR MIDAS, WALMART, or BRAKES PLUS?! If there is such a thing if you live in the Temecula/Murrieta/Wildomar area. This is the absolute ALL CAR MAINTENANCE spot, period. Most importantly the owners of CCC are extremely Military friendly.
