After my daughter took her car into IMM Automotive and received good service I decided to take my car in. I had almost 110K miles on my car with my original brakes. I spoke to Alex. He was very kind and helpful. They checked my brakes and told me they looked good. I was surprised because of the mileage on my car but I was happy to find a shop that was honest. They ended up charging my oil and rotating my tires. The prices were fair and the service was quick. I will definitely be returning. Alex also gave me a referral for an auto body shop. I have taken my Lexus SC430 to IMM Auto Repair twice now. Each time they listened to what I told them was going on with the car. I took it in, they went over the car and within a few hours, they called me to tell me what they found and gave me an estimate to fix. I agreed to leave it there and do the repairs! I've used IMM auto repair before. I take my car there for alignments. They are usually fast and efficient, the job is completed while I wait. I set up an appointment for this morning. I set up this appointment in person last week, and saw the employee put my name and appointment time on their calendar. Well, when I showed up today the person in charge (one of the owners I believe?) scoffed and acted like he knew nothing about me. He said he didn't have the time to help me. I told him I made an appointment a week ago. His response was I could leave the car for the day....which I couldn't. This person was just extremely rude all around and the whole experience was off-putting. He was very angry, I've never seen anything like this or have ever been treated this way before. Obviously he doesn't need the business. How do I now trust a place like this to work on my family's car? read more

Couldn't be happier with Jermaine, had a part fail on my engine that caused it to lose oil and basically destroyed my engine requiring it to have to be replaced. He found me a great used engine for my 2016 dodge caravan removed the old and replaced the new one in 2 days.... And was substantially cheaper than all of the other shops around ...!! Had broken tie rod on my truck so I called for quote before I had truck towed there ,they ballparked the job at $350-$400 for what I wanted done Fair enough had truck towed there and dropped of for repair next quote "the real one"was over $800,I would not have gone there if they would have told me that to begin with! Plus did some research on parts they put on and was well over 100% mark up! when I said something about it they told me thats how they make their money aaahh what about the labor charges? IMM is a reliable, trustworthy auto repair shop. I have used them for years and they maintain my cars in good shape. Today my car had the battery light come on and stay on - my daughter has the car at college 500 miles away! I called IMM to discuss the issue. They were able to look up previous repairs, advise what the problem might be, and recommended having it looked at right away. I wish the car was in town for them to fix. However, it is awesome having a local repair shop that takes the time to review the records even if they can't look at the car. I will have them look at the car next time my daughter is home to check any repairs that are done while the car is out of town. read more

I very much disagree with the other review on this place. Although the mechanics might be honest, the amount they charge for their services is obscene. No matter how much business you bring to them the cost still remains extremely high. Every time I have gone here with a car problem they seem to find 10 other things wrong with my vehicle and they try to stress the importance of getting It fixed immediately. My car is old, of course it's going to have problems and why would I invest more money into a 12 year old car? Great place to get your car checked out but I would not recommend getting your car serviced at this place, unless you have a lot of extra money on hand. read more

I'm glad to have a shop that repairs my car better than anyone else in the area. Jermaine and crew are honest and good mechanics. They always find the core of the problem and fix it right away! I don't know about them being priced higher than other shops, like Marsha says, but to me they're 'normal'. I had my AC relay replaced for $160 recently to get my AC working again. Most recently my car died on a Saturday after shop was closed. I had my car towed to front of shop and brought Jermaine my keys on Monday, nice having that option with a great shop. It was my water pump pulley that broke. It ruined my serpentine belt and tensioner as well. Jermaine called me to recommend the thermostat be replaced as well, said they should be changed hand in hand. I told him I just had the water pump replaced 35,000 miles ago, and I assume the other shop replaced the theromostat. I double checked my records though and the shop didn't replace my thermostat! I was still running my original thermostat at 220,000 miles! I'm glad Jermaine recommended it and I checked to see what last shop did/didn't do. I am road tripping to Utah soon and would hate to be stuck somewhere with a bad thermostat. All the major work IMM did including: serpentine belt, tensioner, radiator hoses, water pump and thermostat was just over $700, not bad for a full day's work and basically redoing what another shop didn't do right only 35,000 miles ago! That pulley shouldn't have went bad at 35,000 miles, the original lasted 185,000 miles, must've been a used unit or a shoddy brand they used. Jermaine also recommended new spark plugs because he could tell they were about 100,000 miles old, which they were, I changed them last. I told him I could do it, but if he wouldn't mind buying me the plugs, he didn't mind and even got me a great deal on them (90,000 mile iridium spark plugs aren't cheap)! I don't play the 'which shop is the cheapest' game anymore since I know you get what you pay for and a local shop like IMM depends on repeat life-long customers. I just brought my car by today because of a weird noise, maybe related to recent repairs. Jermaine checked it out, knew it was the oil control valve and just recommended throwing some oil additive in it to clear out oil gunk. Free good advice, where another shop could've got it wrong or just decided to pull apart my OCV and clean or replace it for who knows how much money! read more

I had an excellent mechanic for the last 30 years until he pasted away last year. In fear of never finding that type of connection again "a mechanic that is good, loyal, honest and reasonably priced is very hard to find. Until I found Jermaine at "IMM AUTO" I can always trust his ability to tell me whats exactly wrong with my car, give me options in regards to solving the problem without trying to gouged on work not needed. As a local neighbor to this shop, I wish they would have treated my family's vehicle better. We were supporters of their shop. They are a local, small business and we are all for supporting those establishments. Still, they took our family's truck for a "joy ride" speeding through our neighborhood and then did some off-roading. Unfortunately for them, we saw them do it. Unfortunately for us, that's a valuable machine. They've done us good in the past, but we're never going back. I recommend readers of this post go elsewhere. read more
