They also install and clean carpeting as well as tile and grout. My job as Trustee for my parents affairs including my childhood house was a stressful challenge with many choices and difficult decisions since March 19, 2019. After the house was empty by the 4th of July I decided to remove all the carpeting and padding which was 34 years old (stuck at times) throughout the house in 4 rooms, closets too and a hallway. The final and 4th color of carpet was sky blue. So 4 different colors of plush since 1958 when the house was built. It took 3 days for the carpet and padding removal. A back breaking and messy job removing it all plus the tack boards and transporting to the backyard for disposal in rolled up pieces. Finally I had an idea and hopefully a profitable one to clean, sand and restore these hardwood floors throughout the house that still looked in their original and beautiful state plus a sure selling point and value to help sell the house in a modern way as well. I used Yelp for my research based on previous reviews and found 4 businesses which I called for pricing, and time availability for my project. Dominic Frabotta the owner called me back within an hour after I left a message with my request. He personally made a appointment within a few days based on our schedules to see, access and measure the whole house for my estimate. We talked budget since I needed to save money for painting and other repairs that would be used for an old house to prep for sale. He worked out a price which was wonderful compared to the 2 other companies I had already called. The 4th company called me back and was too busy till November. Dominic explained the project would take 4 days. He also informed me that there would be a set of 2 different crews with 2 employees since they all have a different talents and skills at their jobs. It was a noisy 1st day of preparation which entitled sanding and stripping the old stain or varnish off throughout the house plus closets and also included any nails or boards that needed to be checked or addressed. I was outside working in the garage on items to sell or donate since the machine a voltage unit? showed 241on the meter in the kitchen, so I was not allowed even in the basement to work due to noise. The guys wore masks, gloves and headphones for protection and company safety policy. The 2nd day and 3rd day would be the stain which employee Brandon & Steve helped me decide on to perfectly match the kitchen cupboards a walnut brown color. Even though the stain was a different color and a change from the original hardwood floor color, Dominic assured me to try a medium brown color to change the appearance of the walk in the door feeling and he was 100% correct. The final results and my photos attached before during and after sold the house ! The 3rd day would be the sealer or clear coat applied by Wiiliam which was a fantastic day to see my choice in stain color to match the kitchen cupboards. The final job was completed by William with measuring the wall areas throughout the house for the cutting and staining at the shop for the shoe moldings. He installed all of them in rooms with a nail gun in 1 hour. Dominic and his awesome crew of guys went out of their way to keep the dust level down using a high tech vacuum equipment and clean up afterwards at the end of a work day. Their communication with me on details or ideas working the 3 days, was very helpful and successful in their final work results. The total price I paid for my parents home was very reasonable and within my budget to accomplish a job well done. My parents house sold in 24 hours after it was listed for sale with my agent on the web plus with many photos including the old yet new hardwood floors. The new owner was so pleased and thrilled to know and see such a wonderful job on the old hardwood floors instead of using carpeting. They used a completey different paint brand and the colors weren't right. They also obviously did not tape (there are wonky lines and areas where paint overlaps other colors) and there are flecks of paint on the toilet and flooring and other random places. This is the sort of quality you would expect from paying your friend's kid a few hundred bucks, not the work of a professional that cost thousands of dollars. Pretty disappointed. Edit: They responded with some pretty bold lies. I have email proof that I requested the paint brand that I requested. Also, anyone who tries to blame the wall for the bad paint job obviously isn't very good at their job. The paint lines overlap in places and the lines aren't straight at all--it is obvious they just eyeballed it without taping things properly. They originally said it would take six days to do, but they rushed it through in three because they double-booked themselves on another job. Every time people come over they comment about the wonky paint job and the paint flecks everywhere. None of these problems should ever exist at the price point they are charging. Professionals get things done properly; they don't provide a list of excuses. Be prepared to babysit them and check every step of their work if you do hire them or else who knows what you will end up with.

He arrived with ample photos of completed projects and recommendations based on our wishes and offered to do a sketch of our potential project. As Furniture Profiles does not have a showroom, we asked if we could visit the workshop, and Steve readily welcomed us to visit. We did that where we met George, the very skilled carpenter, who built the shelf cabinetry. Steve drew out the design, and both he and George were flexible, detailed (including matching current paint on fireplace mantle), and accommodated our wishes on the project as it was born and progressed. This is a very specialized, high-end production of quality shelving cabinetry. So, keep that in mind when estimating installation/completion time. Once the project was complete, we went back to the workshop for inspection. Again, there was conversation for details, such as hardware or spring-open doors, distance between shelves, placement of outlets for electronics, etc. After completion, George and his assistant came to do the actual installation. They did a superb job, very neat, and again accommodating and working with us to make sure it was going as we expected. Brett and his employees were exactly what we hoped. They were professional, extremely hardworking, timely and efficient. This was a huge job. I originally had 11 rooms to paint. The first company I hired quoted a cheaper price, said it would take 3 weeks and "finished" 1.5 rooms in 2 days which we had to repaint ourselves. Needless to say that company did not remain on the job. We personally finished 2 additional rooms, leaving 7 rooms to be painted (this included a huge great room with a vaulted ceiling and tons of mud work). It was too much for my husband and I to do. I found Expert on Google. I called and spoke with Leslie, who by the way was great and on the ball. She set us up with Brett for a quote. He gave us a fair price and said they would have the job done in 5 days. We were skeptical because of promises made by the first company's owner, but gave Expert a try. Expert lived up to their name. This company is very expensive! The ending product's great but getting to this point was a little…read moreiffy. There was caulk left on the side of our washing machine and paint splattered on the laundry room wall and down a NEW WHITE CABINET, from washing out brushes or something. The gentleman that they sent to do the final clean up left a big glob of caulk in my rug from sealing the trim that was missed near the back door (which means he did not lay down anything underneath him). When prepping the sliding patio door, they somehow took the sensor for my alarm off the frame of the door and left with it (we received the sensor a couple of days later but there was no magnet to attach it back and it took three weeks before we could get it repaired from the security company). They bent the frame to the blinds for the sliding door and lost the pieces that hold the finish. We found 4 tiny screws in our carpet, that apparently go to something, we just haven't figured out what yet. My Yorky was chewing on them that's how we discovered it. But the straw that broke the camels back was on day two when we woke up to hearing someone downstairs in our house. It turned out to be two of the painters. They walked in without knocking or ringing the doorbell. Apparently the deadbolt on the door wasn't fully locked because it was covered with tape. They typically work from 9am to 4pm, and usually there's 2 to 3 company cars at the house., but this morning they were these two guys were the only painters for a Couple of hours. According to my camera, It looked like the one painter was going to knock at the door then changed his mind, grabbed the door handle, twisted it and walked in. My cameras have audio, so that verified that he did not knock. Had we not looked over the banister, seeing that it was them, it could've been all bad. I think this upsetted us more than anything. Although we had this company paint Several areas of our home, there are a few other rooms we still need Painted but I'm sorry to say we would not be calling them back out.
