Ciot sold me porcelain countertops and then delivered a different countertop than what I ordered and paid for...in full. When confronted with the issue, they sent out an apoplectic company representative to my house who complained many times about having to drive to our house to look at the countertops. Her biggest concern was the drive and time spent, not the fact that we spent $17,000 on white with blue countertops and received cream with brown countertops. After four weeks of refusing to address our issue, they have stopped communicating and have offered nothing. Nothing. No response. My research has indicated that countertop fabricators do not like using Ciot because they are known for not resolving mistakes. read more

This place has such beautiful things! The only reason why I'm giving them 3/5 stars was because of my interesting experience. The lady that was helping me literally just stopped and started working with someone else?! Ummmm, excuse me, but what the heck do you think you're doing?! I got super annoyed and actually confronted her lol anyways she was supposed to email me with estimates and she did. All of her measurements were COMPLETELY off and estimated me about three times more than what it should have been. Emailed her back asking where she got her numbers from with no reply. I spoke to the manager and just had him help me because she had no clue what to do.... High quality and huge variety of stones and moldings if you're redoing your house but be sure to be assisted by someone who knows what to do! read more

I purchased tile from Ciot in July 2022. My contractor stated I needed 60 sq feet. The sale person even talked to my contractor. The design consultant told me I should get 84 sq ft. She also said I could return any excess knowing the work would not be done right away. It was suppose to be done end of October but due to my surgery it was postnot til January. I have 3 boxes not even open that they refuse to take back. The sales person no longer works there. when I called they said it had to be returned in 14 days with 30 percent restocking fee. Who gets tile work done in 14 days. Even clothing stores give 30. In the past I have returned 5 boxes of tile to another company I would recommend . I would never do bush with this company again. Will tell everyone I know how bad they are. it was a lot of money I have to eat up. read more

I called Ciot and told them I need tile for my kitchen floor and backsplash. I've never picked out tile before so I told them I was going to need some help finding something that would go with my cabinets and granite countertops. The lady that answered the phone set me up with a appointment with Dorina. When I arrived for my appointment she asked me a few questions about my house and I showed her what my cabinets and granite looked like. Dorina was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. She help me find tile that I really like and was extremely helpful. In my opinion she went above and beyond by helping me pick out a suitable color of paint to go with everything! read more

Very nice products. However, we have had the same bad experience twice. We showed up to pick up our order, it was missing. Despite the prior calls to our salesman to advise him that we were doing a pickup. Both times they had already sold or delivered our merchandise to another customer. What a lack of responsibility and what poor follow-up with its customers! Unacceptable. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

My wife went contrary to suggestions of avoiding Ciot for a few reasons but her heart being so large she decided to give them a try. We were told they might send you the wrong product or send you something that differs from what they tell you it will look like. We were told they will not take responsibility for any mistakes even if the mistake is their own. What we experienced at Ciot in substance matches pretty much what we were warned about and the negative experience still haunting us nearly a year later. Some of the tile we ordered showed up broken and in pieces inside of the sealed boxes. Of course, we did not learn about this until the tile arrived at our home and until we opened boxes. The salesperson we worked with appeared to have exhausted his options. Ultimately, as I pieced together, ownership seems to have been dodging the issue for weeks to give an answer. Once there was some type of clarity, ownership would not budge on letting me return any broken material in open boxes because somewhere in the agreement I signed, it said that I would be unable to bring back open boxes of tile. Okay - fine. We ended up eating some of the cost there. We ended up bringing back all of the unopened tile we bought because we not could tell if other unopened boxes had broken tile and we decided to not risk it and just return all of remaining opened boxes. For the boxes that we did not open, Ciot agreed to take the boxes back but they refused to issue us a refund directly. We had to work with manufacturer directly jump through their hoops ourselves. Almost one year later, we are still waiting for our money from the manufacturer because as I understand the manufacturer cannot get Ciot to respond to their inquiries to discuss the situation. We are expecting to get our money back but we just do not know when. It was a mistake to buy at Ciot. We could have just bought the product from the manufacturer directly without paying the price of Ciot. You would expect that since we were buying the product from Ciot that Ciot would have some sort of interest in providing customer care. It seems they just want to take your money and will do as little as possible after they have your money. Dealing with Ciot has been like a culture shock. It is like buying something directly from a scammer in China or better yet like going to a casino where there is so much assumed risk. If you go to Ciot, just pretend you are going out to play the slots as a casino and therefore you should expect that the odds are stacked against you and that you will end up losing something or another. At this point, Ciot technically has the money and the product. Case in story, it probably starts and ends with the ownership but they don't really care about their customers as much as their bottom line -- just like a casino. Also, you might need an attorney with you to review anything you sign before you sign it because they will take advantage of you to the very end! read more

We recently went in to the store and ordered tile for our 1st floor renovations (kitchen/bath/family room). We were helped by Peter -who was excellent! Ciot has some BEAUTIFUL tile with extremely reasonable prices. Their regular prices beat out the contraactor prices at many other tile stores. I will post some pics after installation, but the shipping experience was painless, we chose extremely luxurious looking tile and got an amazing price. Very happy with our visit-I'll be baCk for any future tile purchases. PS. They have a MASSIVE slab warehouse across the street). read more

Ciot called me one week before my tile and countertop was scheduled to be installed and told me the materials had been discontinued and I had to come back and pick out other items. They apparently did not keep track of their suppliers to know the materials were gone and sold me items that were no longer available. I was appalled at their incompetence and lack of follow up. They did not call when they said they would and I regularly had to stop over to the location just to talk to someone because they did not return my calls. They caused a huge delay in my project by their incompetence. They also gave me a recommendation of an installer who was extremely slow and unreliable. The whole experience was a nightmare. Ciot is awful. You have been warned. read more

Extremely difficult to work with. Our original sales person ship the stuff without our consent and charged are credit card. When they needed it to be out of the warehouse they just immediately sent it without any notice to us. When we went to return the parts that we did not order we were told we could not return anything. We had to go back to our credit card company and fight them on it. I do not recommend dealing with this company. read more

Ciot has very unique offerings and I've purchased floor tile and granite slabs from them for a number of projects in my home, I.e bathrooms and kitchen. Ciot is always my first consideration when I want a beautiful unique luxury appearance. read more

Good selection and probably a good wholesaler. The person that walked us around was great. The 2 stars is because of an inexcusable policy they have: Many slabs are sold or reserved. They put these slabs in front of the ones that are not sold/reserved. We wanted to see if the slabs that were available were to our liking. They said they will not move slabs without a deposit. Lol. They want you to pay them before you can see the actual product. This would be acceptable if the slab in front was available for purchase. Its not. I literally would have to commit $$ blind. Thank god our fabricator is honest/wise and advised us to make sure to pick the actual slab we want. Sorry Ciot, your people were nice but... lol, no. read more

Do NOT trust your home or reno with CIOT. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND DELIVERY - EXPECT TONS OF MISTAKES AND DAMAGE. After months of back/forth, my designer and I spent several hours picking the perfect slab and lot number. I spent over $1000 in billable hours to my designer during this time. I secured a large deposit on these slabs with Ciot through my fabricator - followed all steps Ciot told me to take. When it came to delivery, CIOT sent 2 slabs that were completely incorrect. They didn't match and extreme amount of damage. Of course, the sales person sold the slabs I paid my designer to choose and I had to scramble last second in this already stressful process. Finally picked a new slab (only 1 bc they sold the rest - even when deposit is provided). Promised delivery in the AM, never happened. Still waiting.... Do NOT trust CIOT with anything in your home. They are completely unprofessional, unorganized and do not have any respect for customers - even those who follow all instruction from Ciot employees. read more

I was a little hesitant to visit this place because of a couple reviews on here, but my designer wanted me to go so I went and I'm so happy I did! This place is beautiful! I could not get over how many options they had and it was so well organized. The girl at the front desk set me up with a sales girl and she helped me with put everything together and they had my selections sent to my designer. It made my second visit with my designer so easy! My only recommendation would be to make an appointment with one of the salespeople. It was crazy busy both times I was in so we waited for a bit for our sales person, but considering the service an awesome material I was getting I was happy to wait. read more

Who knew shopping for tile could be such fun? Ciot is a showcase of breathtaking tiles that are neatly displayed for easy viewing of different styles. The building is bright, airy and spacious. Upon entry you are greeted and assisted by one of Ciot's stylish employees. The employees are happy and knowledgeable about the products. Surprisingly the prices were reasonable. It is refreshing to so shop in a fancy establishment for tiles. The Tile Shop pales in comparison to this place. read more

This place is a bunch of liars. They took a deposit on our tile. Then called back 10 days later telling us they don't have it. Our house is being torn apart and we now have to start the buying process all over again and will miss our timeline. Worst experience ever. read more

Totally incompetent company. Put down a $5000 deposit on our dream slabs of counter top in a February only to be told they have since sold them to someone else and now have our deposit. Entire house design was based off of this very very expensive order of counter. CIot response = "I don't know how it happened, it can't be Ciot's fault". No I am pretty sure it's you fault. Horrible customer service. They sold us the wrong counter tops. When we realized it ( within the return window on the receipt) they refused to return our deposit. We were told we only had 14 days to get our deposit back. This was even though our receipt said 30 days and we were not informed that the slabs were the wrong depth by Ciot or the fabricator we were working with until over a week after we put our deposit down. Instead they told us they would allow us to pick a different slab. Clearly, we would not want to work with this company. We are now fighting with them to get our deposit back. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Very difficult to deal with. Charged our credit card without our approval. We were gracious enough not to fight our credit card company. No communication when the tile was actually received in the warehouse. Sat on it for several months. We weren't even aware the order was placed until we checked our credit card. Added setting items to our order without our approval and charged our credit card. Would not let us return these items. Overcharged us for the tile which left a balance on our account. Tried for several months to get them to give the money back. Poor communication and customer service. Excuse was that salesperson was no longer with company. They took no responsible for their employees and no apology was ever issued. They just don't care. Be warned! read more

So much potential in this place but I never spend my money at a place that comes off cold as their first impression. I can tell that my experience would be terrible based off my first impression so I went running out the door after five minutes. Bummer too. I found a backsplash (that was in my budget) I would love in the mud room I am doing. Hope I find it somewhere else with better customer service/impression. read more

Hind my sales rep was way more then helpful. Honestly as a GC I use to go to Farmington Hills for my tile now it's Ciot only. Tile I've never seen before this place is definitely a 5 showroom with 5 service. read more

Run the other way-Awful. Really negative stars. I purchased in stock tile for my basement. A week later they called to tell me they some how lost 300 sq ft of tile and didn't have enough in stock. I then went in and ordered the same tile and paid the difference. A week later they called to let me know they couldn't get the tile. I asked for my credit card to be refunded immediately. Ten days later and still no credit. I called again and they claim they processed the credit 2 days ago. I asked why it took a week and was told not my department! Still no credit. It's always just a little frustrating to think what a great experience shopping for such an expensive product should be and getting poorly trained help with a snobbish attitude! Save yourself the trouble and pick a different store! While Ciot has beautiful tile, their customer service and ordering process is SO horrible, that it negates all of the positives regarding tile selections. I ordered tile in September and was told I would have it in 7-10 business days. After multiple shipments with cracked tiles, a series of follow up calls that were initiated not by them, but me, I was finally able to receive enough tiles to complete my project...three months later. Communication from employees involved flat out lies (like telling me they checked tile and could confirm that it wasn't cracked, however, when I showed up to pick it up, it was cracked...every single time). There are many other great tiles stores to choose from, make the right choice! read more

I visited Ciot while shopping for granite and then again for a backsplash. Both times I was very disappointed with the customer service. Several employees walked passed me without offering any assistance at all. I felt like I was a nuisance being in their store. I chose to drive 15 minutes farther to a store where I would feel good about giving them my business. read more

I visited Ciot this past weekend and all I can say is wow!! The product is amazing and the salesperson that helped me was so knowledgable and attentive. I bought stone for my master bath and I cannot wait until its installed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to beautify their home! read more

After going to the big box stores and several tile shops in Sterling Heights, I was so happy to walk in to a warm greeting and be assigned with a knowledgeable and friendly designer, Peter. Recently my client went to Ciot to select granite for her kitchen. She met with sales women and selected granite. however the granite she selected had some unusual properties and is very hard to fabricate, it chips and shales. My client was never told about stone properties, she may have selected another. Tops were fabricated and were not satisfactory. sales women told my fabricator she was not allowed to tell client about stone properties. we paid $2400 for slab that went into dumpster. Ciot refuses to talk to my fabricator or myself. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

Such a beautiful selection of tile but such horrible customer service. I have shopped here many times as I am continually doing home improvement projects and no one ever approaches me or asks me if I need help. The prices are fine, the selection is great but as a former retail sales consultant I am bewildered by the lack of customer service. Thankfully, there are other tile stores. read more

First impressions are everything. i went in to ask a simple question. There were 3 people standing at the front desk, not one of them lifted an eyebrow to even acknowledge my presence. After waiting 10 min without even a hello or even "ill be right with you" i left. Simply put there is no customer service at this location. I don't mind waiting for service but it really annoying when you have to stand there and be totally ignored especially when one of the employees is taking about there weekend plans. Beware! Should you need to take a sample home from Ciot's contractor's warehouse and you end up returning it, you will be charged a 30% restocking fee. Even if you accompanied the employee to the warehouse and removed it from stock by yourself to begin with. Even if you offer to--as you know from where you removed it--"restock" it yourself. I became aware of this policy when I was returning a small marble corner shelf that I had purchased to see if it would match the shower I was having installed. One of three employees at the contractor's reception desk said out of no where (i.e., I didn't ask), "REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU WERE TOLD, you will be charged a restocking fee." Made me wonder if potential customers smarter than I had asked about a restocking fee and, what? Been lied to? So while I waited OVER 20 minutes while another employee attempted to provide the $21 credit to my credit card for the $30 shelf that didn't match (that's over a minute wait for each dollar), I looked around for anything in writing that said I'd be charged a restocking charge. A small postcard-size card was in front of the other computer--not at the one I'd not paid for the shelf at-- printed in less than 11-point font with 6 or 7-bullet points describing Ciot's "Return and Exchange Policy." I had trouble reading it from a foot away with my reading glasses on. The restocking fee piece of policy was buried in the middle toward the end. I bought the $30 shelf for a bathroom remodel that is preceding the construction of a very large addition commencing next month at our house. Ciot could have had probably thousands of dollars of business in terms of flooring from me; I was impressed by their showroom, but instead they got a $9 restocking fee. I could have overlooked the long time it took to buy and return the shelf (in total: one hour)--after all, they did have an employee who must be new as he kept asking questions of his co-workers and they kept saying on both days that they were experiencing computer trouble--but the comment "Regardless of what you were told . . . " told me all I needed to know. I work in the area of customer satisfaction (when I'm not spending two lunch hours buying and returning a corner shelf). When an employee suggests that his co-workers may have not been forthcoming in terms of costs, what would ever compel you to do business with that company? read more
