Since posting my original review, California Closets has been quick to respond -- and I truly appreciate the prompt attention once I reached out publicly. Within days, they scheduled a visit to fix the pull-out rack and add the extra valet hooks we requested. It's clear they wanted to make things right, and I'm grateful for their efforts to resolve the issues so quickly. While I do hope future customers won't have to wait quite so long for service, I'm happy to say that things are now moving smoothly and our closet is shaping up beautifully. Customer service was my biggest issue. I came into the store to get some knowledge about the different types of closet before my in house appointment and the employee would not help. She told me I could look around at their different options. There is no educational material around their showroom so I'm not quite sure how I was suppose to learn anything. Your team was professional, prompt, courteous and a great representation of your organization. The demo/ prep guys ( Armando and Jamie " Junior" ) we're simply outstanding. The work was impeccable and the demo, wall texturing/prep, painting and finishing were as quality of work as I have ever seen. Again, polite and respectful and represented your company well. When they left it looked as though they had never been there. No mess at all despite the demo work. Today Alnivar and Mathew did the install of the new closet. Both were professional and respectful and simply did an outstanding job installing our new closet. The finished product is beautiful and flawless and we could not be happier. Great guys that were top notch in every measure. Of course it all started with Nelda and her in home consultation. We initially thought that California Closets would be too expensive based on what we had heard. Boy we're we wrong. Nelda worked with us to meet our design needs and our price point and helped guide us through the process. We also had quoted The Container Store and what you offered blew them out of the water. Your complete solution from the design consultation, the demo and getting out old "shell" ready for the install, and finally the finished product exceeded out expectations. As I stated earlier, we could not be happier with the finished product and the quality of the communication and quality of work along the way. Simply outstanding and everything was taken care of so it was painless for us and your team handled every stage. I will also post a review on Google as well as Yelp. Your team does great work and people need to know how simple and pleasant your team made the entire process you hit every schedule and budget you quoted and I am amazed at how much more room/efficient use of space we have. After writing my Yelp review, low and behold they got in touch with me and scheduled my new install. I'm much happier with a smaller island and it fits the space much more comfortably. They also took $1000 off for the inconvenience, which was nice. I can't say I would 100% use them again based on the experience, but I am happy with the results of everything they built in my house. read more

95% of our experience has been disappointing and quite frankly a NIGHTMARE!!! The sales process was great, but once we committed to a purchase agreement our sales representative Susan has been non-existent for the most part. Our install was scheduled for December 14, 2020 in which technicians did arrive; however, our closet is still incomplete to this day and we're now in the middle of January 2021. Various installers have been scheduled, arrived or no-showed and there has been issue after issue. From incorrect measurements, to missing products, to faulty material and now a piece of our baseboard being taken off due to their damage and now not replaced because they're unable to locate a replacement piece is just a small description of what we've dealt with. We have sent emails with no response and had to either call or pop up at the office in order to gain some information. I would not recommend AT ALL!! read more

Claudia Tribin did an amazing job designing my three closets. She came out for a free consultation, was a great lister, and really made the design process simple. She also regularly checked in ti see the progress and also worked closely with my electrician prior to install. The project started and finished on time, just as she said. I recently had Donna, from California Closets, to my home to design a home office. It had bits and pieces of furniture I'd collected over the years and they just weren't working well for me any longer. We spent quite a while talking about everything I needed in the office and how I wanted it to look and function. She then measured the room and we scheduled a follow-up meeting at their Plano showroom to see their displays and so I could see exactly what the various pieces would look like and make my final color selection. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that she'd taken everything we talked about and put it into a 3D Cad program that shows exactly what the room will look like and lets you even turn the image around and open all the doors and drawers. What a cool program! Though I could see it on the computer, I was also able to see, from the showroom display, exactly what it would 'feel' like and even added some of the lighting options they had there. I'd been looking at new furniture pieces and nothing I could find suited all of my needs so for a 100% custom office, the California Closet price was very reasonable and they installed it in just over 2 weeks from our visit to the showrom. The installer was very thorough in the detail of the installation and I can't be happier. It works perfectly for me and I'm planning on having them tackle my garage next! read more
