From the moment I called Joel with California Crews I knew that I was in good hands. He was very respectful and extremely personable. When he came out to do our fence quote, he took into consideration everything I wanted and was up-front and honest about what would work best for our needs. I wanted an overlapping fence for privacy, but he suggested a louvered fence which was a lot less expensive and would still provide the privacy I desired. He is very knowledgeable and had the most reasonable price for everything we needed in a fence; steel posts, privacy, and sturdiness. When Jordan, the fence guy, came out to build our fence, he too was very respectful and likable. He worked hard and knew exactly what he was doing. My husband and I are perfectionist and do not settle for mediocre, and guess what?!?! Same with Jordan!!! He is very much a perfectionist. I can tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about how nice it looks and how well it is built. Jordan went above and beyond when working on building our fence. He was great about responding to all of my phone calls and text messages. He continuously asked me what my preferences were for certain things (big and little) and he did exactly what I wanted; regardless if it would be more work for him. He leveled a huge dirt area around our fence to tie the whole yard into the new fence. He did an awesome job with clean-up too, making sure that nothing was left behind. He even took some extra wood that we had in our backyard to the dump for us. He stood by his work by checking up with us and even came back to our house when we wanted a modification done on the fence a month later. STAY AWAY these people are criminals. Joel will block your phone number when you have complaints. Jordan the fence guy who has no clue what he is doing & is useless. I have three different size pickets that they didnt think I would notice. Its only supposed to be one size. I have five different sizes of trim I guess they didnt think that I would notice that either. Almost every post cap is not leveled correctly. And my gates are already broken & in shambles. They didnt even have the decency to fill the concrete holes for my fence post so now my post are going to rot. Our gate was almost to the point of falling down, and there were storms coming. Joel came out that Saturday for an estimate and by Monday we had a new gate! California crews did an excellent replacing some 110 feet of fence and three gates. Contacted Joel for a quote, came out as scheduled, reviewed everything and gave us a fair quote. My neighbor and I wanted to go with a 7 foot fence with a couple design features and Joel, Fredrico, Ricardo and Chewy knocked it out of the park! I would not recommend using the sub contractor for fences (Jordan) thru California crews. I asked him for a special kind of post which was a 4x4 galvanized metal post to which he wrote out a quote for...it clearly shows 4x4 metal post. When verifying with him the 3rd time that indeed the quote provided is what we discussed, in detail, and is written on the quote he then tells me he was planning on using round metal posts with caps! Well, that is not the same thing as discussed! He then stated he would have to get me a new quote which would be more for what I asked for in the first place and get back to me which he never did even after I reached out to him asking for him to let me know if he was going to get me a quote or if he did not want to do the job just let me know...nothing!! UPDATE: Most people do not consider waiting a week to get a response impatient. All he had to do was respond stating he was still working on the quote or no he didn't have time in his schedule to do the fence...any response would have been great. That would have been respectful, unlike your response sir. There was no reason to be rude. Thank you. read more

There are many words that express California Crews... Punctual; Professional; Friendly; Courteous among others. Their workmanship (the exterior of our home was painted) is exceptional. From the very beginning the crew, headed by Gabe, took great care in the prep, painting and clean up each and every day. The job took only 5 days from power washing to walk through. When I was a little undecided about some trim Joel and Gabe both offered opinions and Gabe went so far as to paint a sample ares for me to visualize. The absolute BEST thing I can tell you is this...when Gabe walked the house with us prior to powerwashing we pointed out a dove and her nest within inches of the house, at a corner. We asked that they do their best not to disrupt her if at all possible. They went the extra mile and quietly, carefully worked around her and her 2 eggs. By the end of the week the eggs had hatched and now, at the end of another week, mama dove is feeding her squab and they are perking their downy heads above the top of the nest! I hired California Crew to build a new fence, replacing the old fence that blew down. I contacted Joel about a month ago for a Quote, which he provided the day I contacted him. Because I had some tree trimming to do in the area of the fence, I contacted Joel to do the job about a month later. We have used California Crews twice now, once to replace our neighboring fence about four months ago and once this past weekend to completely renovate our backyard. Both times the men were quick and professional. They worked diligently each morning and kept a quiet atmosphere to not bother the family indoors. Before they left for the day all of their tools and supplies were neatly put away. Our mess of wood chips and overgrown weeds was cleaned up and hauled away, our yard tilled and nutrient dense top soil added, high quality sprinkler system installed and beautiful sod laid over top!
