First, the review I posted was based off my EXPERIENCE here and my overall thoughts of this place. You stated being professional yet here you are 3 years later barely replying. Having 50 students in your class doesn't justify the "yelling". These students were being yelled at individually! Your lack of empathy is the reason why students are afraid to speak up during class. From the moment I walked in, your instructors looked clueless like if it was everyone's first day there. Saying I should go somewhere else where they are more soft spoken and should hold my hand just demonstrates how pathetic this place is and doesn't know how to receive criticism. I completed my coronal polishing certificate at California Dental Certifications. The board requires 12 hours. I paid $300 and was there for two hours. The whole time my instructor hardly showed face. I had experience in coronal polishing and I showed my classmates what to do. Another instructor came out and made faces after watching 5 seconds of my technique but didn't offer any corrections or. Front desk is worthless. Each person had different information on what they will accept. After talking to 3 different people I got all of my paperwork turned in. I completed all my patients on the following Monday and had to wait until Saturday at 1 to turn it all in. Whoever's in charge of yelp responses is unprofessional and won't take accountability. It worked out because I was desperate for my last certification but I do not recommend. Do better read more

I got my dental certifications through this school a year ago, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The staff is super nice and so helpful. They are all so approachable and want nothing but the best for each student. They really have an amazing program! Since being a student there, I landed a steady job as a dental assistant in SoCal for a year, then my husband got assigned to a new duty station in Germany and I was able to land another amazing job in a totally different country because of my training at this school. I signed up online (very easy) and came in to class with my high school diploma and BLS cert which was all I needed and required. Came here today to get my 8 hour CA dental infection CE. Nice office, well organized and very nice teachers and staff. Juan was my instructor, I hope when you come here you'll get him. All teachers are knowledgeable and helpful too. Class sizes are small so you'll get a lot of individual attention. I highly recommend this office!! I would highly recommend this place. Not only is it one of the most cheapest and fastest class to take for your dental x-ray course, but it was very informative and everyone was extremely helpful. I live in San Jose and could not find a cheap class to save my life. I also work a 9-5 job so it was impossible to find a time for me to come take a class that would be for more than one sitting, so this program was right up my ally. I have to give a major shoutout to Tiffany because she was kind and patient, but also didn't let you slack off and properly trained you. I am planning on taking the rest of my RDA classes here! I would give this awful place one star but all course members beware this is the worst place you could ever go. The people are rude and unprofessional. I took a course there a few years ago to get my ultrasonic certificate for my license and the instructors know nothing I mean, I need more than instructors and then I had two coworkers so recently went there and they learned nothing. The ladies were rude and unprofessional. They're telling her to come in scrubs and then they get there. Don't come in scrubs and then when they get there, all you should be in scrubs they they embarrass you in front of the classroom they front everybody off and make everybody feel uncomfortable to ask any questions and when they do, ask the question, they have no answers. They know nothing they like people hired off the street and just unprofessional beware Dennis please do not send any of your staff to this office. They will not learn anything. Everybody leaves that place not knowing nothing just like me awful place. They should be shut down. I'm gonna report them to the Better Business Bureau. I'm gonna report them to the California dental board. I'm gonna report them. They are something else and I can't believe it's gotten worse since I've been there, these are these true facts beware do not go there. You will leave that place with a certificate and then they force you to do good reviews. They won't give you your certificate unless you write a good review about them which is pretty against the law, going to report that to. read more

It feels a little rushed because it's just a 3 week program but it's honestly worth the money and they teach you what you need to know for cheap! It's probably the most affordable dental assistant program in san diego. Just wanna point out that Gil is a wonderful and patient instructor! Wendy (I think that's her name?) is also just the sweetest and most helpful person ever! She never made me feel dumb for asking her questions when I took my x-rays (she wasn't even my instructor) and just genuinely seems kind hearted. Shoutout to Gloria too, she keeps the paperwork for the whole program all organized and makes sure you turn everything in. I recommend this place if you're a fast learner. I was scheduled to attended California Dental Certifications and was told that the school would only allow a certain amount of students in because of covid guidelines When I arrived there were at least 30 students standing outside waiting to get in.. I was really confused and concerned, nobody was social distancing. When the doors open everyone was told to sign in with the same pen, not being wiped down, we were told to find a seat. All the chairs were together, no separations, we were all scrunched together. The owner Adele's only concerns were that we paid for the class. We were than separated by what ever class you signed up for.. You could tell the instructors didn't know what they were doing, there was no structure, they handed photo copies that someone else had used, gave you a test, that u all graded together when finished. Josh was my instructor and he said he didn't have time to go over anything, he rushed thru the answers and got my certification. I had several questions, and he said don't worry about it, Nobody follows the infection control guidelines in a dental office 8hr. Infection Control took 30min. There was no hands on training or any kind of lecture for a $300 class Nobody wiped down the tables or chairs Instructors were yelling over each other I herd the owner Adele being rude to the staff and using a few F bombs . Also temperatures were not taken. I would not recommend this place for anything read more

When I first decided to become a Dental Assistant I had originally enrolled at a different school. The day before I was going to start with the other school I happened to google and seen CDC and found out they offered 13 certificates versus the other school that offered 3 and the price was the same. I called CDC and left a voicemail explaining that I was due to start at another school the next day but wanted info about CDC, because if CDC was going to be a better investment for me than I would withdraw from the other school and attend CDC. I received a call back promptly from Adele, the person who runs the school. She was very helpful and explained to me how the program worked and definitely made me realize CDC would be the better investment. I quickly withdrew from the other school and enrolled with CDC and OMG did I make the right decision! I just finished the DA program and I loved every minute of going to class. The instructors are awesome! They are definitely there to help you! My main instructors were Lisya and Josh and they were great! I attended California Dental Certifications starting in 2016 and took multiple classes spending 1000s of dollars. While in school most if not all materials were photocopied somewhere spiral bond books with covers others were just photocopied packets. While trying to get my RDA I BOUGHT a book from the school called RDA Review Manual. It was a spiral-bound with the school's logo/identifying information on it (labor-intensive) Today years after leaving the state and having anything to do with the school; I was called by the owner of the school Adele, who immediately started accusing me of photo copying and distributing to "multiple students" the RDA manual I received in 2016 or early 2017. She continued to tell me legal action could be brought against me for this. I did not do this and was very confused. I told Adele I had BOUGHT a book from them and lent it to one friend who I REFERRED to their school. That friend said the book l lent her was then taken by Adele her-self as she told my friend it was "outdated" and needed to be exchanged. Adele continued to tell me I am lying, and wrong and tried to continue to threaten me with legal action until she hung up on me. Adele then refused to answer my return calls to clarify A) what she was talking about in regards to "multiple students" B) tell her I don't appreciate being called a liar and theft, especially without investigating this in any way on her end. C) why would it benefit me in any way it doesn't have answers in it. Plus, I haven't lived in the state for several years now, how am I in cahoots with all these students to sling useless materials and spend time and money on binding said material?!?! I DID NOT AND NEVER HAVE COPIED AND DISTRIBUTED MATERIALS FROM THIS SCHOOL OR ANY OTHER BUSINESS. As a former patron I am offended, on a personal level I am offended, as someone referring additional students to that school I am offended, and professionally this is not ok for the owner to talk and act this way. I hope to hear back from the owner and school with an apology but I am not holding my breath. read more

After completing the DA fast tack course at CDC, I am confident to say this is the best dental school to attend. I have had the most positive experiences with Ms.Adele, Ms.Gloria, and the instructors. The instructors who I experience such a positive, knowledgeable time with were Christina, Veronica, Michele, Marie, Gill, and Tiffany. The people who staff CDC really want the best for you and your learning experience. Coming from no dental background, I have learned so much from CDC that I was hired on my first working interview for a specialty private dental practice, all from the knowledge I gained in only 4 weeks! Ms.Adele and her team have made my experience at CDC smooth, educational, and pleasant. The workers at CDC are exceptional at infection control and let students know valuable knowledge to avoid cross contamination in the workplace. I do not understand why there are negative reviews as people must understand that the staff at CDC are very efficient in moving along the students in the programs to ensure they finish their syllabus/course requirements on time, with correct paperwork, dates, and signatures. Having correct paperwork is a vital skill in the dental field and they help each student become better at this skill. ALL Paperwork EXPLICITLY states all terms and due dates (if not met during class time), and Ms. Gloria ensures that paperwork is done correctly. The admin staff at CDC is great at their jobs and make sure student's paperwork is correct and all parts are completed. If not, all of the staff take their time to make sure student's paperwork is done correctly and on THEIR TIME. I will definitely be back for other extended learning courses for dental assisting as the hands on experience and lectures are very well done. The costs for this school are high since you use the material on site, I do not understand why people are upset to return "BORROWED MATERIALS" from the school. As a student, you receive a highly organized binder, colored pencils, modeling clay, syllabus, contracts, certifications paperwork, and a textbook on loan that are extremely helpful and worth the money. This school offers extremely high cost and modern training for the students. They also loan you personal safety glasses and lab coat to keep on site, as well as lockers for your items to be safe. The contract signed by students states all terms and conditions for participating and completed programs. CDC is very efficient in their paperwork and teaches you these skills as well. Tests are assigned by instructors and you may work alone or in groups, but no 100% are guaranteed. Although, due to great lecturing and video, most of my peers received 95% to 100%. Basically, you get the most by being engaged fully during class time on Saturdays and Sundays. I encourage those who want a fast paced, well taught dental assisting course to sign up ASAP as there is a special on the website right now! If you come to CDC ready to learn and in a good, positive attitude, you will do really great! If you come with a negative attitude and not willing to work, then you will not enjoy this program as it is high caliber, but enjoyable.
