My boys took lessons at the Coder School for 4 or 5 years, we all loved it. They will go at the pace of your child. It can be very rigorous for advanced students who have a lot of passion, and it can be more relaxed for children who have less of an interest, but those children will still learn a lot and the teachers will keep them interested, and they might develop passion later. At the least they will know they have the ability to do it if they encounter it later in college or on their job. read more

I couldn't be happier with this coding school. There are few Coder School of SD at different locations, but this place is special because of Marcel (owner) and the staffs he chooses to work with him. He cares and he seems to pick only the best and matches your kids. Since day 1, the kids have been very comfortable and happy with him. He is really easy to talk to, to work with, he cares, and he listens. My kids have been taking his classes and they have had about 2 or 3 other instructors, and they really have no complaint. I know they are learning what they need to learn with Coding and are progressing each week. I have had a couple of emergencies and cancellations, family getting sick, etc. Marcel had always made it easy to cancel and reschedule, it makes a whole lot of difference to be comfortable calling or texting him. read more

Our son has been attending Coder School at PQ for some time (I believe 8-9 months) and he really enjoys the experience. He really likes the sessions and is eager to attend, of which I take as a great sign. We attend one session a week for 2 on 1 instruction and it's been overall a wonderful experience for him. We receive class notes on what he learned during each visit and he's been very engaged in learning coding. I think it's a great after school activity for children and I would recommend that you try it out, it's a good diversification from a sporting activity that most children particular in. read more

The Coder School is spacious, bright, and clean. Marcel, the owner, is almost always around while two or three instructors work with on coding with the kids. My 9YO was engaged from the outset and challenged each week. He often had one-on-one attention, even though we didn't pay for that. Most impressively, The Coder School gives you a whole sixty minutes when you pay for an hour. Not fifty minutes. Not fifty-five. I don't know any business that does this anymore. It's been a couple of years that my son is taking coding classes in the coder school. He has the same teacher and it was much better for him to evolve with her. He started with 7-8 years and has moved from basic block codes at scratch to some python/html/CSS now. The place is very well structured but during the pandemic we've had all classes virtual with no interruptions or Problem. He really enjoy his Saturday's morning as it's the coding class day. I'm convinced that this school, the teacher and the director Marcel, their didactics, the methodology, the patience was key to his incredible performance. Today he was recognized by the school director as a "technology expert" always keen to help his friends and teacher with all computer matter and I'm proud to have done this choice. Thank you!! My 8 year old son has been taking classes at The Coder School weekly for the last 3 months. He loves working with his teacher Raija. He has been asking me to sign him up for more classes and asked if the classes could be longer, that's how much he loves it! They make learning programming fun, by having the kids learn coding concepts by programming games. Due to the pandemic, my son has been taking classes virtually, which has been very easy. They send a reminder email before each class with the zoom login. The teacher is always prompt and able to explain concepts at a level that my 8 year old can understand. She is able to cover quite a bit of material in the 1/2 hour class, but according to my son the class goes by too quickly and he would prefer an hour instead. So we be switching to the 1 hour class soon. We look forward to continuing classes with this school for many years to come. read more

Coding and technology is the wave of the future and the more they know, the better. 2 kids to 1 coach, one on one and up to 5 to one coach are whats available. Starting out at 140$mo. I really wish they were better located for us. It is a hike to get there since it's off the 56 at Rancho Peniquitos. Near that 24 hour that you see off the 56. Great owners, started it up north now have like 20 plus I believe. They really support each Franchisee and came down to help out. I love this so much. I can't to try a week camp. If he wasn't so busy with football daily, I would do this now and although they offer a Saturday, it is a lot to have only the weekend off and go to class. He and his friend were so interested and didn't want to go. They have these things to figure out and each one gets harder, it is basic coding and when they got it they were so focused on playing around with the concept. My son attended Coder School for most of his Elementary school years. Fleuncy in computer languages, like foreign languages, develops rapidly at these developmental ages. Marcel and his team are amazing. Students develop at a pace appropriate to their skill development. Complex concepts are built on top of basic ones. We started with Scratch and built our way to Python and HTML/CSS. These are literaly languages and tools used by professional software developers. With these skills, my son will now be able to excel at his school computer courses and have a headstart on technology in college if he chooses. Even more important, the foundation in coding provides a broader strength in analytics and critical thinking. There are so many benefits to this! Marcel has made scheduling lessons a breeze and is very accommodating. I was honestly hesitant to enroll my 12 year old in the week long coding camp as he's not interested in anything "school" related this summer and it was priced more than other camps I was considering. So I was thrilled when he LOVED it! I was soooo happy to see how excited he was to talk about his programs and what he created every day! They made coding fun and let him run with his creative energy. My kids 2nd and 3rd grader did attend Summer camp for 1 week. I was skeptical at first learning about coding, since they did not know nothing about the subject. After they attend the first day, they said it was so much fun and they were excited to go back the next day. At the last day of camp, the parents could go in and the kids gave presentation what they have done throughout the week. Sending my son to The Coder School was one of the most satisfying decisions I've made for his summer school programs. My son had taken a summer program called 'Games are awesome' of The Coder School. Even though he went with non-technical background, he had achieved a visible output from the class at the end.
