I am extremely disappointed from this place . I have to say all the technicians are really nice, however, not all of them are doing good job. I bought a Groupon that combined Brazilian and under Arm, the first three sessions were just a waste of time because the technician finished in two minutes, they were not putting any effort to cover the whole areas, I learned it after receiving my my 3 last sessions when the 2 other technicians did a very good job After my six sessions were ended, I wanted to continue and I scheduled my seventh session. The front desk lady said it's going to cost me $104.. today when I came out the session they charged me$208 , when I asked why, they said it's $104 for each area. They neglected to inform me from the beginning that they charge for each area separately, and when I brought it up with the front desk lady, she said that Groupon does a different deals than what they offer on site, how ridiculous it is to say something like that when the Business is working with Groupon and decide which deals to do, apparently she didn't know what she was talking about, but she had the balls to argue with me, young lady sitting in the front desk being rude, and keep arguing about stuff that she has no idea about! I myself is a business owner and I know exactly how Groupon works . I will not be going to this place again I will not recommend it. They sell you a Groupon, but then they scam you. I purchased a $4,000 full body laser package from this business, and my experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I've actually been a loyal customer for years and have even recommended friends and family here, which makes this situation even more upsetting. When I was sold this package, I was clearly told that I would be able to choose which body areas I wanted treated at each appointment. This flexibility was a major reason I agreed to move forward. However, when I recently called to schedule an appointment for a specific area, I was told that I must do full body treatments and cannot select individual areas, which directly contradicts what I was told at the time of purchase. On top of that, I was also told I could use a credit card for payments, but when they attempted to run my card, I was then told I had to use a debit card instead. This was not communicated upfront, and I had specifically clarified this before purchasing. I reached out to the business directly to resolve this. Someone from the facility did call me back and said that upper management would follow up with me, but I never received a call. It has now been over two weeks with no response. I made a good-faith effort to handle this privately, but the lack of follow-through and the inconsistency in what was promised vs. what is being delivered is extremely disappointing--especially for a $4,000 service. Terrible customer service. SEV rescheduled my appointment less than 24 hours in advance because they didn't have the right nurse available. The new appointment they rescheduled me to the following week was too close to my wedding date, so after that I reached out to cancel it prior to the 48-hour cancellation policy window listed on their website. Despite that, they still refused to refund my $100 deposit. To make matters worse, I had been there the week prior for Botox, and when they charged my balance, they forgot to deduct the $100 prepaid deposit I had already made. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with SEV Laser. I had a laser appointment scheduled for May 25, 2026, at 6:25 PM at the Walnut Creek location. The appointment had been booked approximately two weeks in advance, and I received multiple reminder emails and text messages confirming the appointment right up until the day of service. I arrived on time only to discover that the location was completely closed for Memorial Day. No one contacted me beforehand. No cancellation email. No text message. No phone call. Nothing. Like many laser clients, I had spent time preparing for the appointment, including adjusting my skincare routine and shaving before treatment. I also spent time and money driving to the location, only to find a locked door. Afterward, I contacted SEV Laser and was told that a manager would be reaching out to me promptly. As of this review, I have not received a phone call, email, apology, or any follow-up communication. What makes this particularly frustrating is that SEV Laser has a strict cancellation policy that can charge customers if they miss an appointment or cancel with short notice. Yet when SEV Laser fails to honor a confirmed appointment, there appears to be little accountability and no proactive communication with customers. I have spent thousands of dollars with SEV Laser over the years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Avoid this location if you value timely appointments, communication, professionalism, and most importantly PATIENT SAFETY. I was told to come at 4:10pm for my 4pm appointment which was fine. Once I got there, there were dozens of people checking in, the paperwork process was insane - none of this was even available before check-in. And after all that, I was then turned away for my laser facial for having used certain skincare ingredients when it was never communicated to me during my pre-op. I made an appointment a week ago and they said I had to stop using a product 2 weeks ago. Worse, I asked the nurse and the manager about the type of laser being used and neither could answer my question. The manager is NOT a healthcare provider. In a facility using medical grade lasers, you would think the manager would have this basic understanding. I would do research on the safety of med spas and take your business to a more licensed and professional location. I wanna start my review by saying that I have visited SEV for the past 2 1/2 years and over the past year I have noticed some changes. In the past, they would send you an email or a text message to have you confirm your appointments and now they auto confirm them for you so that you have no choice unless you log into their system. if you've gotten work done there before you know that their system is a little tricky to use like it's honestly hard to find a login, but once you login you're able to switch as long as within 48 hours of your appointment, right. So my experience with them has not been the best within the past year and a half not only do they auto confirm your appointment they text you with changes to your appointment. They did text me. My appointment was for Tuesday. They texted me Saturday midday during Easter weekend. I responded to them on Monday and let them know that you know I would like to reschedule. I thought this would be OK since one. They also confirmed the appointment for me and I did not say I could go to the appointment but they said that they're gonna charge me the 50% fee because I did not cancel in time and their logic was that since I did not reach out with enough time I was getting charged the fee. I communicated them I was like OK you can change my time for 11 instead of 10 which was something I could not do and they're like oh well we kept your appointment since you didn't respond so then why did you confirm my appointment if I did not respond? I will not be going to this location anymore or even the company I'll just find another laser hair removal and do my business there. I've been seeing that this practice is not fair to the client because why are you always auto confirming so it's hard for us to cancel? They are creating a system that profits them. Kudos for your system. The system ignores the client then making it easy to charge us 50% of that fee. Also, neglecting our right to confirm our own appointments. read more

My first and only laser clinic! I've been coming to SEV for over two years now for my Brazilian. My hair surprisingly responded really well to laser and most is permanently removed after hitting a year of treatments. My latest visits have been sporadic, mostly for touchups. Their prices (especially the packages) are pretty reasonable. The facility is clean and staff are professional. I've never felt uncomfortable during my visits. They've also been kind enough to accommodate me when I'm running late. One thing I'll mention is that they have different laser technicians each time, so you won't be able to request a certain technician that you like. That being said, they seem to be pretty well-trained across the board for bedside manner and proper laser technique. I would definitely recommend grabbing their Groupon deal to gauge whether laser is a good fit for you. NOTE: Parking in the garage across the street is free for the first hour (or two, I can't remember), but if needed, there's usually metered parking in the lot out front ($3 minimum). read more

SEV Walnut Creek is under new management, and although there are bumps in the customer service that will take time to improve, I wanted to increase my rating for the attentiveness the staff have shown to resolving these issues. The times for my past two appointments changed without my consent and notification from the staff. The first time this happened, I was confused why other customers were being seen before me, even though I had been checked in before them. I thought to check my appointment information in the SEV app, and that's when I learned my appointment time was moved. I thought it wasn't right how as a customer, I would be charged if I change my appointment time within 48 hours of the appointment, but the staff could change my appointment time within that timeframe and also without notifying the customer about the time change. It should be an agreement that is upheld on both the customer's and the business's sides. Also something I keep in mind is that I've paid a lot of money for this service (thousands of $$$). When anyone pays a certain amount of money for a service, it's justifiable to have a reasonable expectation of a level of customer service that should be met. This issue was addressed at my appointment today, and I was seen at my original scheduled appointment time. I would do your research in the reviews if you are considering starting laser or another service here, but I wanted to share how my experience was improved under the new management for others' consideration and transparency, so you all can make a more informed decision about going here. I had a Groupon for a laser treatment package with Sev and chose the Walnut Creek location. My appointment was rescheduled due to storms so they consider the safety of customers and staff. Possibly because of timing to fit me in, I waited about 25 minutes for the RN to get me from the lobby to start my Brazilian and underarm service. The treatment area was consistently clean when I went. Each RN is knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable during the process and knew what to expect. I've seen a huge reduction in my hair growth since starting laser--so much that it barely grows back now. In areas where I had thicker hair, it's taking longer to vanish completely, and I've needed more sessions than I initially expected. My pain tolerance is very low, but I appreciate that they increase the intensity gradually during each session. The air-blowing feature during the laser treatments is a game changer--it makes the process much more comfortable, especially on sensitive areas like the face. The nurses and receptionists are always so helpful and friendly, which adds to the positive experience. The only downside is that the prices have gone up, making it more expensive. I've been going to this location for the last few months and had nothing but problems with their packages. All I wanted was my chin line and inside my nose. Apparently I continuously buy the wrong packages and have a jawline package that no one has made me aware of until today. The lady that treated me changed it and they charged me additionally (which I didn't agree to). When I went to reschedule she said to reach out to management for a credit because she was not authorized to help me. I emailed the manager and she said she wouldn't credit me because I already had changed my packages. I already paid for a jawline and your Chin line is part of your jaw. I can't help but give this place a one star because every time I've gone there it's been a pretty bad experience overall Two of the nurses were good. Ever... I'll say one was great. The other was OK and OK because it seemed very passive aggressive during the entire conversation, not genuine kindness, but she did turn the machine up which I respect. The parking lot is daily small, BUT I have always found parking. I love the area around SEV as well. More for customer service than anything and tips for folks coming here. When you schedule, you don't know what machine you'll get. One time I got candela and another cynosure, I found this odd. One time I felt it and one time I didn't. When I questioned this at the front desk, one of the girls was very rude and looked at me like I was crazy, while the other was trying to explain. The whole appointment for a small body part like upper lip and chin is 3 minutes and then they ask for a tip, which is fairly strange. Overall, it kind of feels like a cheaper and less swanky version of skin spirit. SO DISAPPOINTED. I would NEVER recommend SEV LASER to anyone. I went to several laser 2 years abdomen, full Brazilian, armpit , full legs and 15 months for full face, full leg, and feet. As soon as I stop laser for certain areas and I made my appointment 8 weeks apart as the nurse suggested my hair grow back and a lot of spots missed. I have gone here for a while now and am a repeat customer. Normally the receptionist is friendly and kind. Today, however, I was about 5 minutes late to my appointment and the lady in the front said they were closed for lunch. I told her I was 5 minutes late, and she said your appointment is only for 10 minutes but you can come back in an hour. I couldn't make that time, and that's all she said to me. I checked the time again, and now it was 7 minutes past my appointment. I asked if she could tell me how many sessions I have left and she was like I can't. I'm clocked out, even though a few moments before she looked at the computer to tell me that I could come back in an hour. It was completely disingenuous, and unprofessional. I have not been so angry before and I had nothing else to say but to leave. I have come here for at least a year (if not longer) and have never seen it like this or been treated this way at any establishment. I am hesitant to come back or to give anyone referrals if this is how they now treat their customers. read more

3.5 stars. The staff and technicians are nice and professional but the facility isn't very pleasant. The bathroom has been out of order for months (my last three appointments), parking is sparse and paid, the rooms, decor, and ambience are not nearly as nice as other SEV locations. Also, if you're running late and have a morning appointment, then you can't call the location to let them know. You can only get the call center starting at 10am so you cannot confirm if they'll be able to fit you in if you're running late. Sometimes if the place is busy, you'll have to reschedule so it's good to find out before you drive over. The Walnut Creek location does cost more than other SEV locations. Like $90 vs $100 for half legs and $70 vs $95 for bikini (Walnut Creek vs Hermosa Beach). This is strange because Hermosa Beach also has a much higher cost of living compared to Walnut Creek. But I don't mind it too much because most of the technicians are pretty detail oriented and take their time which is nice. But occasionally you'll get a super quick technician who doesn't really try and it's a bummer because you're paying more so you'd expect better service than other locations. Hermosa Beach has nice scented rooms, fresh flowers, a working bathroom, and peaceful ambience. Not a huge deal but it sure makes the experience a bit more pleasant. I'm still a SEV fan but I just wish Walnut Creek was as good as the other locations. read more

Sofya S let her know that she was wasting her time and money if she wasn't going to show up for her appointment properly. She basically shamed her. This was not the first time. I was there for the first appointment when Sofya S said something similar- letting her know "if you read the paperwork you would have seen it" SEV looks nice and posh when you walk in, however the front of the house and the back of the house are not the same. They don't leave the room to give you privacy when you dress/undress and their technicians could certainly use some bedside manner training. This is a treatment that could be done at many places. Kindness and customer service go a long way. Similarly shaming people and making them feel bad about themselves has a lasting effect- it's also bad for business. read more

I actually really love coming here, but after 3 sessions my only real complaint is that they are ALWAYS running late on appointments. Social distancing guidelines are on point from the hand sanitizer, disinfecting between clients, glass at the front desk, and limiting the amount of people in the building at once. They send clients a text when they are ready for them to come in so we're not waiting too long inside around other people. My appointment was at 6pm, got a text at that exact time, but they didn't take me in until 620pm. This is even a longer delay from when I came for my first session! How is it possible that they are still running late when they are strictly limiting how many appointments can be taken and when to come in. I hope that they fix this issue soon because it's not fair that we have to pay a ridiculous amount for parking when many of their services only take 2 minutes. read more

Super friendly gal working the front desk eased our minds and walked us through it all. My bestie was pretty nervous about it, however I have a high pain tolerance so I wasn't so much.
