I have been seen here many times due to my glaucoma issues and the staff and providers are kind and always willing to help and answer any questions. I don't feel rushed or as if I'm a bother. The provider Dr Lee is also very knowledgeable and always willing to hear my concerns and never tries to hurry out of the room for the next patient. He has done all possible to assist with my medical issues. The office manager Brenda is also very kind and available whenever paperwork is needed for work or any concerns. The wait is a bit long but because Dr Lee doesn't rush through his patients. read more

I do not recommend this place. They do not seem to care about their patients, their customer service is very poor. I ordered glasses and left a voicemail after two weeks to follow up, since I had been told it would take up to that long. No one returned my call. When I called again, I was sent to voicemail once more. I then contacted the office directly and asked the receptionist to connect me to a live person. When I finally reached someone, I was told my glasses had just arrived and that I could come in anytime after 2:00 PM, as they close at 5:00 PM. I rushed to get my kids ready, drove 40 minutes through traffic, and arrived at 4:25 PM. When I got there, I was told they close at 4:30 PM and no one could help me. I explained that I only needed to pick up my glasses quickly and that I had been told I could come in before 5:00 PM and technically it wasn't 4:30pm yet. The rude staff member then informed me that the optical department closes at 4:30 PM--information that was never mentioned during my phone call. Despite the mistake on their end, they refused to assist me or make any exception and told me to come back on Monday. The lack of accountability, care, and understanding is very disappointing. This means I originally went to the California Eye Professionals Feb 17th, and today is Mar 12 and I still have to wait approximately 3 weeks to get my glasses. read more

The surgery scheduler at the Menifee location, Alyssa Bryant is SEVERELY RUDE and does not care one iota about the patients or their care. She is absolutely inept at her job, has ZERO people skills and treated me like I was a burden and unimportant as a patient. She should NOT be dealing with the public, let alone patients undergoing any type of surgery. I began new insurance this year (2026) and let her know WELL IN ADVANCE about it. I got the new insurance information to her well before my scheduled surgery on January 9th. She could have made ONE PHONE CALL to them to find that I DID NOT need a pre authorization, but she chose not to, and her laziness and lack of professionalism ended up getting my scheduled survey canceled. Nobody from the office called me to let me know it was canceled. Had I not called to follow up, I wouldn't have known and would have shown up to the surgery center for absolutely no reason. When I reached out to her, she told me to be patient, that they have other patients and emergencies as if I wasn't important enough to take care of. This incensed me. So, we reschedule for February 6th. She charged me a $750 deductible (which I paid) only to find out today per my insurance company that I didn't have deductible at all. Zero deductible!!!! They have NO clue what they are doing there and it really makes me wonder how many other, more elderly, unsuspecting patients are getting mistreated and OVER BILLED!!!! Once my next survey in March is done, I will NOT be going back to them. They deserve a BIG FAT ZERO as a rating!! read more

This place has the worst patient courtesy I've ever seen. I had to book an appointment with the specialist for her and I've talked to the person that books 2 or three times to get a date. Not once did that person tell me that this appointment would last 2 to 3 hours. Upon arrival at the scheduled appointment time, no one at the front desk told us that, one, the doctor was running an hour behind and, two, that the appointment will take 2 to 3 hours. Don't use the glaucoma specialist there! He operated on my mom eye and destroyed her cornea. Now, she is completely blind to her stronger eye! First he blame on her causing the tube shift, did another surgery to shorten the tube, then sent her to retina which the retina specialist sent her back since it's a cornea that was damaged by the incorect placement of the shunt! He also did the same thing to one of the older ladies who lived near us, her eye constantly red and runny, he also want to do another surgery on her, but since what happened to my mom, she decided not to go back to him! My mom now went through terrible depression because of this incompetence glaucoma specialist. He took away little of vision she has...pretty sure she is not the only one he did this to! I ordered glasses a few weeks ago and the Dr wouldn't give me the correct prescription! She said it would dive me crazy? What does that mean? I picked them up yesterday and the left prescription is wrong! It's your profession to order the right prescription! I went in for an eye exam and walked out with a prescription that was incorrect. Not knowing this I ordered glasses and paid for 2 pair. They came back and they were the wrong prescription according to an optometrist from another place. I went back to California Eye Professionals and they checked the glasses and said, "Yes. It is the wrong prescription." I ask to see an optometrist as I needed the glasses. They told me after going there twice that I would need a third visit to see an optometrist again for a new prescription and I must make another appointment. VERY unhappy with service and they wouldn't refund the money for my eye exam since I now must go somewhere else and order 2 new pair of glasses again and pay for another eye exam. I talked with 3 different people in different departments at CA Eye Professionals including a "manager" and not one person said I'm sorry for your troubles or I'm sorry for our mistake. My first negative review. I don't usually write bad reviews. But this is my second bad experience there. Last year the 7-10 days to order glasses took over a month and they couldn't seem to tell my where the glasses were or why they were delayed. They appear to be grossly overbooked and the thing about it is that their staff doesn't care. I went here for an eye exam today. My insurance would not cover glasses from them, so I took my fresh prescription to Costco Optical in Lake Elsinore. When I showed the Costco representative my prescription, he said some of the exam findings weren't listed. He suggested I call the testing optometrist to get the additional information. This is when my frustration began. After immediately being placed on hold for 10 minutes, I was told I need to speak to someone in the Optical Department. They transferred me and no one answered. The recording said I could leave a message, so I did...asking for a quick return call since I was trying to order my glasses. No one called back after a half hour, so I called in again. The operator told me that the Optical Department was short staffed due to Lunch time. I tried to explain that I just needed some additional info from my exam earlier in the day. I was told only the Optical Department could help. I asked if they would place me on hold and ask Optical to help me between customers. I was on hold for 30 minutes before Optical picked up. I told her what I needed and she said she would immediately fax it to the Costco number I gave her. 25 minutes later, still no fax. I called the same person in Optical and asked why the delay. She said she has to get the doctor's authorization first and she's with another customer. She said she would try to catch the doctor between customers. 25 Minutes later, the fax cam through. Not only did the additional information I needed show up, my entire prescription changed. The whole process took 2 1/2 hours. My sincere hope now is that the prescription is correct. I will never go here again...unless I have to have them fix my prescription after my new glasses arrive. read more

i recently visited the Hemet office for an eye exam. I cannot say enough good things about all the wonderful staff there. From the moment I walked through the door, the office staff were extremely welcoming, helpful, and generally very warm. I then had a first inspection with the nurse, I believe her name is Traci,, she was so thorough , attentive, and took her time to make me feel secure. Finally I saw Dr, Lane, whi proceeded to give me e my eye exam. He patiently went through all the tests, explaining what each one was. my test was conducted in a personal and professional manner. Pretty fast and easy to make an appt, which i like about them. a the front desk ladies seem like they do not want to be there though and they are a little rude. I also once had an appointment at 9:20 am and didn't get helped until around 11. I had been waiting for the doctor in her room for 40 minutes. The rest of the staff doesn't seem super friendly either. I got glasses and contacts from there, which I was satisfied with but I waited for three weeks. They were done for about a week before I got them because they called and I didn't answer as I was at work and they never bothered to call, text, or leave a voicemail. So this place sucks. read more

I'm 76 years young and a Vietnam veteran. I lost my left eye in Vietnam and I was experiencing eye strain, with a degree of pain. I was referred to California Eye Professionals by my medical provider. What a joke, I was not physically examined by a doctor or anyone else. I was given a few samples of eyedrops for dry eye and that was it. As I was leaving, I ask if I could make an appointment for a vision check to see if I might need new glasses. This Bulldog at the desk informed me that they do not take Medicare or Tricare and it would cost me $95. I asked "you don't take Tricare, a division of United Health care or Medicare?". She said "NO!". I realized at that point, I wouldn't trust these morons/quacks with one of the most precious gifts we all have. If you incur any vision abnormality, I suggest you go to a real specialist. I did and it was discovered that my new OLED TV was the problem. read more

Dr. Tadros came in and saw me holding up a lens. She asked if I could put it away. And mentioned how she doesn't like it when people touch her things. That she has her things is a place for a reason. And that in the future visits I am not to touch her stuff. That other people have stolen them, touched them, played with them. Granted, Grabing the lens from a box that sits right in front of a patient's sit was ill advised. But what is also Ill advised is where they are kept, if they are so valuable, delicate and people have a history of touching them, why are they sitting there right in front of the patien. Then she proceeded to ask me why I am using them. I explained my curiosity about the inversion of light through the lens. Then she asks what i did for work. I said I taught math and thought it would be interesting to my students. "She said, well it's more of a physics thing,so". Which I thought, intersection point, focal points, rays, concavity, symmetry, vertical angles and other components of this activity are precisely mathematics. Also, finding activities like this is exactly the context needed to support the learning. Later during the exam I was asking general questions about my eyes. One question was, what kind of lens are in my eye. Is it a lens like those on glasses or the condensed lenses in the box. She said, I went to school for eight years and I can't go over all that right now. read more

I went to professionals 2 times. The first time I was told I might have glaucoma!. I came back a week later and took more tests. I waited ten days and finally called my primary doctor. He had not heard anything from the eye doctor. My doctor called me back again and told me that the eye pros want me to come in for a consultation. Sorry, I'm done with these unprofessionals. I have bloodshot, swollen, watery eyes. When I wake up my eyes are sticky and glued shut. According to the eye pros, my condition is normal and not anything that needs immediate care. Dr. Jacobsen did an excellent job with my moms cataract surgery but when she was ready to make the appointment to get her other eye done she was told they were booked up til October. It's frustrating because now she has one eye that's healing and vision improving and she's had to get an appointment with another doctor at another office in another town in August. I asked her if they always made their patients wait that long to be seen she said yes. I then stated well then I should just bring him a hour late she stated well you could but then we would make you wait a additional hour. I had my father leave their establishment as this was absurd. We spoke to another elderly couple who stated they had been waiting to be seen since 10:00am 6 hours. I have him scheduled with another establishment. Took my 90 year old mom for a 3:30pm appt. Waited approx. one hour in lobby to be called back into exam room and then another 20 min in exam room before the doctor saw my mom. I was seen 15mins after appointment time but it wasn't bad waiting roaming the waiting room at their huge selection. I was impressed by the staff and a little shocked to see so much staff to be honest. It was busy but not to where they needed 3 girls up front to take calls and do check ins. After my exam one lady took me to where the glasses were and tried to sell me all this stuff and when I declined she got very angry. Also, they will change prices on you constantly and bill you insurance for a ridiculous amount! $400 for a new patient fee? Really? They will try to get as much money as they can from you insurance and get the rest from you! Had this happen twice to my mother also. If I could give this office a "zero", I would. Let me start by saying that Dr. Kella is amazing, sweet, and my family loves her. She is the only reason we tolerated the incompetent lazy staff for as long as we did. The front desk staff are rude, unhelpful, lazy and flat out liars. If you don't mind a back and forth headache for a week plus to finally make an appointment, by all means...but I couldn't take them anymore.
