Or just me not reacting in time when exposed to places with speakers playing really loud music? These people are the exclusive specialists you should see if you have concerns with tinnitus of any kind. They will pull all of the important hearing tests and properly educate you about tinnitus so you won't believe stuff you see online. I now carry around ear plugs attached to my keys everywhere I go. I may not be able to control random loud sounds outside but I can control how I react. By putting on ear plugs the instant I know loud noises are coming, and living cautiously by not going to places where I know the noise/music is loud.

Every interaction, from scheduling an appointment, to experiencing your first consultation, to the customised and meticulous nature of the solutions to your hearing needs, is handled with such care, empathy, and authenticity. Dr. Patty is EXTREMELY knowledgable and has the rare ability to connect with her patients on a human level; leading to you walking out of every meeting with a profound understanding of the complexities of your ear and brain's anatomy as well as peace of mind knowing your needs are being met at the highest possible standard. In my case, I went in searching for custom hearing plugs as I experience some very loud environments with my job and in my day-to-day life. Dr. Patty sat down with me and walked me through every step: educating me on how the inner workings of the ear, the methodology she has honed to create the custom mould, and how to find the ideal reduction in decibels that would best suit my needs. You are also given the option of picking from a variety of colours! Dr. Patty then brings you back in for a fitting and followup to ensure the plugs are the perfect size and achieve your protection needs with a comprehensive audio test (If you're lucky she will also bless you with a plethora of fun animal facts!) I am blown away by the level of care I was provided with. To Jalisa, Melissa, and Dr. Patty, thank you SO much for being such amazing people and for all of your time and help. To anyone looking for treatment for their ears (or preventative measures to protect your hearing long term like me) look no further.

My current aids were not really doing the job, even though they are less than a year old. I just wasn't happy with them. So, I went to see Dr. Miles. He provided me with a new pair of Oticons. They are FABULOUS! I don't understand the technology, but apparently it monitors all the sounds at about 100 times a second. Here's what it says on its website: "Powered by the Velox™ platform, the newest BrainHearing™ solution from Oticon employs an "open sound" approach to manage multiple speech and noise sources, even in complex listening situations. The company says the new OpenSound Navigator™ scans the environment 100 times per second to analyze and balance every sound individually. Environmental sounds are said to be accessible, but not disturbing. With this open sound experience, Oticon reports that it makes traditional directionality, designed to focus on the main sound in front and suppress background sounds, a thing of the past. Users can now focus on a conversation while staying attentive to people and things around them, and switch focus quickly and easily." Now again, I don't understand it all exactly, but the aids have been really working well. Oticon also has an app for the phone that makes it easy and unobtrusive to control the volume. You don't have to pick the ambient noise quality (e.g., car, restaurant, etc.) because it is doing that all automatically. At least that's what I think its doing. Great hearing aids! I haven't been this happy with hearing aids in a long time. Patric Kelly

She said I should have come in sooner and told me everything that would happen. She drained the pus and made sure I knew what to do with the medication she gave me. I scheduled a couple more follow up visits because my condition was a little more serious. After the last one, she told me to schedule one for a couple months later as a final checkup. I was reluctant but did it anyway just in case. The reason for not being 5/5 is because I feel like the front desk service and the system for paying could be smoother. The front office staff tone isn't as nice as Dr. Carter. The paying system goes through their parent company BASS and you need to specify how much you need to pay. I also have a secondary insurance and I've been chasing both sides for a while now to try and figure out how much I'm supposed to pay (insurance says $400 less than BASS says). Final note: They charge $50 for no show. I knew this and completely forgot about my last appointment since it was months later. They sent me a text (which I missed unfortunately) to "reply YES to confirm". I saw this text a couple days later. Make sure you go to your appointment or cancel! They will not call you after that text--doesn't matter if you reply or not so I don't see the point of replying yes to confirm.
