Or just me not reacting in time when exposed to places with speakers playing really loud music? These people are the exclusive specialists you should see if you have concerns with tinnitus of any kind. They will pull all of the important hearing tests and properly educate you about tinnitus so you won't believe stuff you see online. I now carry around ear plugs attached to my keys everywhere I go. I may not be able to control random loud sounds outside but I can control how I react. By putting on ear plugs the instant I know loud noises are coming, and living cautiously by not going to places where I know the noise/music is loud.

Every interaction, from scheduling an appointment, to experiencing your first consultation, to the customised and meticulous nature of the solutions to your hearing needs, is handled with such care, empathy, and authenticity. Dr. Patty is EXTREMELY knowledgable and has the rare ability to connect with her patients on a human level; leading to you walking out of every meeting with a profound understanding of the complexities of your ear and brain's anatomy as well as peace of mind knowing your needs are being met at the highest possible standard. In my case, I went in searching for custom hearing plugs as I experience some very loud environments with my job and in my day-to-day life. Dr. Patty sat down with me and walked me through every step: educating me on how the inner workings of the ear, the methodology she has honed to create the custom mould, and how to find the ideal reduction in decibels that would best suit my needs. You are also given the option of picking from a variety of colours! Dr. Patty then brings you back in for a fitting and followup to ensure the plugs are the perfect size and achieve your protection needs with a comprehensive audio test (If you're lucky she will also bless you with a plethora of fun animal facts!) I am blown away by the level of care I was provided with. To Jalisa, Melissa, and Dr. Patty, thank you SO much for being such amazing people and for all of your time and help. To anyone looking for treatment for their ears (or preventative measures to protect your hearing long term like me) look no further.

I allotted an hour and a half for what would be a 25 minutes drive at 4am just in case I had trouble finding the location, but the solid gridlock on 101 at 2:00pm and the tricky signage for the connections between Highway 87 and 101 left me SOL, (sadly out of luck). Also note, Yelp's four-star rating looks to be overly generous, especially if you scan through the number of negative. reviews. I agree with others, the office staff is short on caring, and I discovered why they insist on having your credit card number up front. Instead of offering a heads up about the navigational problem, orgiving you a detailed set of directions for people coming from a northwesterly or northerly direction, they can claim a hundred points to the patient's zero, for they're going to collect $100 from your plastic if you're sandwiched between semis and can't make your appointment. All I needed was someone to do a thorough job of cleaning the wax from my ears. Now my. 80 year old wife is going to have to do it-- before Costco will examine my ears and adjust my hearing aids! The lady with the good reviews who did that type of IEM work left years ago. I asked about the detailed advertisement on the web and they said it should have been taken down "Their bad". I was frustrated and angry as a customer who could have been told the situation a month earlier without wasting half a day.

If you've ever used foam inserts to protect your ears you've experienced "muffled" sound. Things are quieter but they don't sound like themselves--kinda like the whole world got a cold. That's not acceptable when mixing a band or playing in a band--we gotta hear how things really sound. Five years ago, a fellow sound mixer suggested I invest in custom fit filters that dim loud sounds without changing their character. Several members of our band and sound team also wanted custom filters so Shauna brought her portable kit to our rehearsal. The fitting took about 5-10 minutes per person for both ears. Shauna did a great job keeping us informed about how the procedure would feel and how to stay relaxed for the best fitment results. Two weeks later, I received perfectly fitting filters and they accompany me to every music/theater event. New materials and new in-ear monitors have recently hit the market so it's time to buy new stuff. Shauna was my first phone call to arrange a new fitting appointment.

I reached out to Ear Associates in May of 2026 to see a doctor for an ear infection. I booked my appointment for 5/29/26. Upon arriving to the doctor's office I was escorted into a room and a provider started running audible testing on me. I asked the provider to stop and expressed concern as i was coming in for an ear infection and thought I was to see a doctor. The provider said I was not allowed to see the doctor until they finished this audible tests. Upon booking of this appointment, no one disclosed anything in regards to a requirement for audible tests. Since i was in dire need to see a doctor, I begrudgingly proceeded. The audible testing lasted for 20-30 minutes. Then i finally got to see a doctor for my ear infection. Even the doctor expressed confusion as to why i was subjected to hearing tests just for an ear infection. The doctor's office agreed to waive the doctor's visit fees, however, I asked to be charged for the doctor's visit and to credit for the audible testing that was not disclosed and forced upon me. The office refused. Additionally, Jacqui Garcia whom was the last person i spoke to at this facility was extremely rude and unhelpful with any further path forward to resolving this issue. Extremely shady. They should be upfront about requiring these hearing tests ahead of seeing a doctor instead of forcing them upon you and refusing to credit it from the bill.
