Or just me not reacting in time when exposed to places with speakers playing really loud music? These people are the exclusive specialists you should see if you have concerns with tinnitus of any kind. They will pull all of the important hearing tests and properly educate you about tinnitus so you won't believe stuff you see online. I now carry around ear plugs attached to my keys everywhere I go. I may not be able to control random loud sounds outside but I can control how I react. By putting on ear plugs the instant I know loud noises are coming, and living cautiously by not going to places where I know the noise/music is loud.

Their claim was that they provide much better service, repair, warranty, etc. Their claim was BS. The hearing aid worked great for about a year and when they started acting weird I called to make an appointment for their great follow up service, they were booked out around 2 months. They contacted me a day or two before my appointment to reschedule, again another two months out. They rescheduled that appointment also. Ultimately it took over six months to ge an appointment. They performed some software updates and changes to the programming to see if that helped. It did not. So I called for another appointment. I called and left a message 5 times over 3 weeks before they finally called me back to schedule. Now they are sending my hearing aids back to the manufacturer for service and I received loaner hearing aids that are 3 or 4 generations back. Their top notch service, repair, and support, doesn't exist. Go to Costco and get a similar set of hearing aids for around 20% of the price.

As per billing I feel that pricing is high. Just be sure to ask upfront what all costs are (ex: there is a new patient fee). I want to come here because I saw the hearing center is listed in-network with Anthem. And then she asked me something I didnt hear well. I asked can you speak slowly? She said "this is my regular speech". What??? Your customers come to your place because they do have problem with hearing and you treated them unrespectfully. I felt uncomfortable at that moment and I told her be friendly, and then she changed her voice tone. But this was so frustrating experience here. Charis - hearing specialist is friendly, but as another person reviewed, she just tried to sell device more than truly listening customer's problem. She is rushed and not active to any ask questions. Before coming here, I got very good experience with hearing specialist at Costco when he consulted me a lot and did different tests and helped me to try with different devices. My current aids were not really doing the job, even though they are less than a year old. I just wasn't happy with them. So, I went to see Dr. Miles. He provided me with a new pair of Oticons. They are FABULOUS! I don't understand the technology, but apparently it monitors all the sounds at about 100 times a second. Here's what it says on its website: "Powered by the Velox™ platform, the newest BrainHearing™ solution from Oticon employs an "open sound" approach to manage multiple speech and noise sources, even in complex listening situations. The company says the new OpenSound Navigator™ scans the environment 100 times per second to analyze and balance every sound individually. Environmental sounds are said to be accessible, but not disturbing. With this open sound experience, Oticon reports that it makes traditional directionality, designed to focus on the main sound in front and suppress background sounds, a thing of the past. Users can now focus on a conversation while staying attentive to people and things around them, and switch focus quickly and easily." Now again, I don't understand it all exactly, but the aids have been really working well. Oticon also has an app for the phone that makes it easy and unobtrusive to control the volume. You don't have to pick the ambient noise quality (e.g., car, restaurant, etc.) because it is doing that all automatically. At least that's what I think its doing. Great hearing aids! I made an appointment to have it looked at and they did nothing to really troubleshoot the issue and tried to feed me some BS about aging electronics and stated the manufacture probably wouldn't service it. Then started pushing me to buy a new set when I stated I was here to have my device serviced they then asked if my insurance had a benefit that could be applied to my purchase of new devices. When I told them I was walking out and why they said nothing. After leaving my hearing in a dehumidifier for an extended period it seems to be working fine again. Caveat emptor! (Buyer beware!)
