These people are the exclusive specialists you should see if you have concerns with tinnitus of any kind. They will pull all of the important hearing tests and properly educate you about tinnitus so you won't believe stuff you see online. I now carry around ear plugs attached to my keys everywhere I go. I may not be able to control random loud sounds outside but I can control how I react. By putting on ear plugs the instant I know loud noises are coming, and living cautiously by not going to places where I know the noise/music is loud.

Their claim was that they provide much better service, repair, warranty, etc. Their claim was BS. The hearing aid worked great for about a year and when they started acting weird I called to make an appointment for their great follow up service, they were booked out around 2 months. They contacted me a day or two before my appointment to reschedule, again another two months out. They rescheduled that appointment also. Ultimately it took over six months to ge an appointment. They performed some software updates and changes to the programming to see if that helped. It did not. So I called for another appointment. I called and left a message 5 times over 3 weeks before they finally called me back to schedule. Now they are sending my hearing aids back to the manufacturer for service and I received loaner hearing aids that are 3 or 4 generations back. Their top notch service, repair, and support, doesn't exist. Go to Costco and get a similar set of hearing aids for around 20% of the price.

Do not go to this office if you are seeking basic care for an ear infection or similar. They will…read morerequire you to take audible tests for hearing, they do not disclose that requirement, force you to do it otherwise you can't see the doctor, and then charge you for it. I reached out to Ear Associates in May of 2026 to see a doctor for an ear infection. I booked my appointment for 5/29/26. Upon arriving to the doctor's office I was escorted into a room and a provider started running audible testing on me. I asked the provider to stop and expressed concern as i was coming in for an ear infection and thought I was to see a doctor. The provider said I was not allowed to see the doctor until they finished this audible tests. Upon booking of this appointment, no one disclosed anything in regards to a requirement for audible tests. Since i was in dire need to see a doctor, I begrudgingly proceeded. The audible testing lasted for 20-30 minutes. Then i finally got to see a doctor for my ear infection. Even the doctor expressed confusion as to why i was subjected to hearing tests just for an ear infection. The doctor's office agreed to waive the doctor's visit fees, however, I asked to be charged for the doctor's visit and to credit for the audible testing that was not disclosed and forced upon me. The office refused. Additionally, Jacqui Garcia whom was the last person i spoke to at this facility was extremely rude and unhelpful with any further path forward to resolving this issue. Extremely shady. They should be upfront about requiring these hearing tests ahead of seeing a doctor instead of forcing them upon you and refusing to credit it from the bill.

When I arrived to the appointment at 8:30, I saw her inside and the door locked, I knocked the door twice because I didnt see her turning back. Then, she felt so unpleasant and told that " I was coming to open the door". When she got my information, I was difficult at hearing, so I asked her to repeat. She just kept silent. And I had to ask if she wanted to talk about the insurance. She raised her eyes and said "You dont know your insurance cover?" Of course, I dont know. I want to come here because I saw the hearing center is listed in-network with Anthem. And then she asked me something I didnt hear well. I asked can you speak slowly? She said "this is my regular speech". What??? Your customers come to your place because they do have problem with hearing and you treated them unrespectfully. I felt uncomfortable at that moment and I told her be friendly, and then she changed her voice tone. But this was so frustrating experience here. Charis - hearing specialist is friendly, but as another person reviewed, she just tried to sell device more than truly listening customer's problem. She is rushed and not active to any ask questions. Before coming here, I got very good experience with hearing specialist at Costco when he consulted me a lot and did different tests and helped me to try with different devices. My current aids were not really doing the job, even though they are less than a year old. I just wasn't happy with them. So, I went to see Dr. Miles. He provided me with a new pair of Oticons. They are FABULOUS! I don't understand the technology, but apparently it monitors all the sounds at about 100 times a second. Here's what it says on its website: "Powered by the Velox™ platform, the newest BrainHearing™ solution from Oticon employs an "open sound" approach to manage multiple speech and noise sources, even in complex listening situations. The company says the new OpenSound Navigator™ scans the environment 100 times per second to analyze and balance every sound individually. Environmental sounds are said to be accessible, but not disturbing. With this open sound experience, Oticon reports that it makes traditional directionality, designed to focus on the main sound in front and suppress background sounds, a thing of the past. Users can now focus on a conversation while staying attentive to people and things around them, and switch focus quickly and easily." Now again, I don't understand it all exactly, but the aids have been really working well. Oticon also has an app for the phone that makes it easy and unobtrusive to control the volume. You don't have to pick the ambient noise quality (e.g., car, restaurant, etc.) because it is doing that all automatically. At least that's what I think its doing. Great hearing aids! I guess the brand is a Starkey brand. Other brands may be able to program other hearing aids as well. I believe they used to be hall hearing which was a good provider of hearing aids in San Jose's a while ago. Thank you again!!!!

I made an appointment to have it looked at and they did nothing to really troubleshoot the issue and tried to feed me some BS about aging electronics and stated the manufacture probably wouldn't service it. Then started pushing me to buy a new set when I stated I was here to have my device serviced they then asked if my insurance had a benefit that could be applied to my purchase of new devices. When I told them I was walking out and why they said nothing. After leaving my hearing in a dehumidifier for an extended period it seems to be working fine again. Caveat emptor! (Buyer beware!)
