Very helpful and friendly officer at the front desk. The officers in Altadena have always been very kind and respectful in my experience.

Wow? 2 1/2 stars!! That's kind of funny. Shouldn't they have the best rating? Since there here to protect and serve??

And her continued rant on the topic. which aired no concrete grievances, but seemed like her own issues about not having as much money in La Canada, which isn't La Crescenta? Bizarre. I am unhoused and people from this station have been nothing but over-thoughtful to me. Officer/Deputy Fort is a prime example. I didn't ask the name of the deputy, but in 2023, after someone stomped out my windshield on drugs, a deputy/sheriff from this station, who'd received a complaint I'd parked too long in one spot -- watch out for Gladys Kravitz citizens -- not deputies, who need a hobby other than harassing the unhoused, stat! -- was very kind and when he saw my smashed windshield, told me which nearby town had the best deals to replace it at low-cost. He was on the money! Just had to tell my experience because it's, frankly, unfair to make vague claims like Cynthia G. did about them caring only about rich La Canada residents [what on Earth is she even ranting about?] when I'm literally unhoused and they often go out of their way to show me kindness, shares resources, show grace. Unlike Cynthia G.'s unspecified, unclear rant which I will be screenshotting to save for every time I need a good belly laugh!

While I was photographing the area, an Arcadia police officer pulled over and immediately questioned what I was doing. Despite his hostile tone, I tried to stay positive, greeted him politely, and attempted to explain and show him my photography. Before I could finish, he cut me off, placed his hand on his firearm, and angrily ordered me to leave. At that moment, it became clear that this wasn't a conversation it was a command. The encounter left me truly saddened. I've always tried to see the good in police, but so many experiences like this can make you reflect on the realities of policing and how quickly an interaction with police can go. Do better.

I met their Police Chief a long time ago, but I am sure she is retired now. I do not know who their new Chief is now, but Arcadia has let me slide with fix it tickets in the past. Station is right by the Santa Anita Racetrack and San Teresita Hospital. But anyway, I like to Yelp Police stations I have had good or bad experiences with sometimes. Arcadia turns out to be another good one in my opinion.

Already two weeks since the accident and still haven't received the police report. This is a smaller department than I've seen others in the LA / SoCal area, and the inside is really sort of ... not fancy at all like you'd think. These guys don't have all your money and don't sit there and do nothing. They respond to calls and keep the community generally safe to their best abilities. They have day shifts and night shifts. YES graveyard shifts! Somebody has to be awake in the middle of the night when you're knocked out from the day's activities. I do think its a thankless job. As a police officer you have to lay down the law. You have to keep people in line, and that often times rub people the wrong way because people think they're joy-kill. But if they don't do it, who will? Yes sometimes you're just having a fantastic party but its 3am, your neighbors do also have a right to have some peace of mind and sleep. Either way, I'm a big fan. Thanks San Marino PD! :)

I get such a kick out of people and their perceptions of life. I have had nothing but good to say…read moreabout the South Pasadena PD. I place little value on those that limit their vocabulary and scope to name calling and racial slurs. I have been dealing with a parking issue which they have been more than willing to help and work with me on. They have been professional and courteous. Most have been friendly. A couple have been somewhat curt in their interaction - like they had something more important to be doing - but generally I am pleased.

The police officers were so respectful, kind and actually cared about their residents. I so miss officer Wise. He tired long ago. Even the parking enforcement people were nice. Today , most of the officers and parking cadets are so arrogant and treat residents like criminals. The parking enforcement cadets are eager to cite you over anything. if you stop for a second to let someone out of your car on the red curb, because there was no other option. Even when your car is on. I never saw the cadet and never knew I had " broken " the law. I was shocked to receive the ticket by mail. The cadet didn't speak to me , I never even saw him; going by the pics , I can see that he followed me. Never put the light on me or honk his horn. I. guess the parking enforcement cadets NOW can cite you for a moving violation. I requested to speak with the watch commander on duty. I stood for 45 minutes waiting for the officer. I am a senior , disabled person. The officer finally showed up and had a very defensive attitude. He showed no courtesy at all. I unfortunately did not write his name down. He didn't have any interest in listening anything I had to say . It makes me think the cadets have a quota of citations to meet daily. While I was waiting at the police station for the watch commander, a woman came in with a similar complain: she got a parking ticket on the mail, but the cadet didn't leave a copy on the windshield. So drivers are now being spied on by the parking cadets from far away , no hard copy on your windshield because you are way to far from them . All they have to do is write your plate number and you'll get a surprise notice on the mail. This is corruption at its highest. It reminds me of the motorcycle police officer , also in South Pasadena, who hides behind bushes or on private driveways by the high school and on Orange Grove, ready to stop and cite people. Before , this motorcycle officer was the only sneaky character. Now the parking cadets are here to get you too and they are supported by the police. So shameful!!
