I walked in the shop looking for a spearfishing wetsuit. Randy came down and immediately started asking all the right questions (I used to work in a surf shop, so I know a thing or two about selling a wettie). He got me in what he thought would be the best fit and value for money. After trying on two more suits, his first suggestion was the one I walked out with. Randy was a proper bloke and I enjoyed chatting with him about all things watersports -- dude knows his stuff and is a pleasure to shop with. Can't rave enough about that guy's attitude and overall demeanor. Bill, the owner was super helpful as well! Both of them make for amazing guest experience while shopping. When I told the staff about the hole on the wetsuit, he said that's ok as long as there's not a lot of water coming into it. I don't know how they managed to surf without having water coming in. The equipment was not useable and the owner not only refused to refund, but also shown aggressive and unfriendly attitude. Oh and by the way, it's really pricey to rent from here. Overall really poor experience. Do not recommend. There are many other better rental shops out there in pismo.

My young nephew is now going through his certifications, and I'm again reminded just how awesome this shop is. The owner Chuck is the nicest guy. He always goes above and beyond in helping clients out. From fitting gear, to sharing stories, he's incredibly helpful and never pushy. His heart is always in it. On top of that, he's a legend in the community. All the dive professionals I know (marine bio, search and rescue, etc) recommend Chuck, for good reason. The shop itself is well stocked with the highest quality gear, and Chuck stands by all rentals, purchases, and services. This makes it well worth continuing to support the shop, because he'll be there when you need it. My nephew's instructor Kim W has been AMAZING too. She has infinite patience and her highest priority is creating safe and knowledgable divers. Zero rushing through any of the material.
