I called them because they were literally down the street where I am moving to and also because they boast a "moving special " on their website. When I called I was told they are no longer honoring the "special price" because his guys want to get paid 8 hours a day to show up to work and also said employees run the business because if they don't show up nothing gets moved! He threw a price of $1,000.00 estimate without even talking about what I needed to move! read more

Reasonable costs. Friendly service; Jazz patiently answered all of my annoying questions. Trustworthy; they let me pay my deposit via Venmo and waived the 3% credit card fee. They trusted me so I trusted them; paid remaining balance via Venmo after the service. Movers constructed my bed and there was no damage to my stuff. Was moving across town from an apartment to a house and needed help moving some of the larger furniture. We contacted California Moving Services and scheduled to 2 people come over and help load a U-Haul up with a couch, a recliner, TV, entertainment center, bed, and several other things. I expected the job to take 3-4 hours and instead it took Tony & Francisco less than 2 hours to load and unload everything in a very professional way. I found them through Groupon (FYI, don't purchase the Groupon, go directly through them)... I am a single person moving the contents of a large apartment and I had everything moved with two guys and the truck/trailer in the 4hr time-slot. The guys stayed on task and got the job done. We had a little snafu but the owner made it right. I would recommend them for small-medium sized jobs that are local, as they are reasonably priced. I don't know how well they would do with a large or very large move though. Overall, they were very nice guys and did a good job. Made my move much easier on me. I would definitely use them over a larger national company because they are a locally owned and operated small business. read more

I'm going to start by saying, do NOT believe these "amazing 5 star reviews". Unless you have a 1 bedroom house, don't expect this to get done in one day, or even in the estimated time frame. We have a single story 1,400 sqft house and our moving distance was 12 miles away. The two guys who showed up were nice enough but they looked like they had just graduated high school. They brought no tools whatsoever. They moved SO incredibly slow that they only got 1 truck moved (a truck that was not even fully loaded, we still had 10 PACKED boxes in our old home and a bunk bed). The two guys did EVERYTHING as a two man team and used the power lift on the truck, even when I myself, a 120 lb woman started grabbing stuff off the truck to get it moved at a faster pace, along with my husband and a friend we had over. At one point my husband and our friend had to dismantle our fridge to get it in the space and the two guys just sat and watched for a good 25 mins. I would say the workers did less work than we did combined. We did not want to push them and ask them to go faster while they were loading in fear of them breaking our goods or damaging our home(s). As they left my husband spoke to them about how it was it was not acceptable that it took them 6 hours to move 1 truck, taking 4 1/2 hours just to LOAD it. I gave my two cents (and not too nicely either as I had expected our new house to be full) to the two guys. They said that moving a house is hard work and we just don't know how hard it is. Excuse me? We have moved 6 times in the past 8 years and we have NEVER had it go this slowly. Our boxes were stacked in the garage, not put in the proper rooms, our bed was not constructed after unloading, our TV was still in the entry way not in the living room, our children's things were not in the proper rooms (and yes I have photos of all of this). With us going into "overtime" due to how slowly these guys moved we just wanted them gone at this point as they were absolutely a set back and not the help that was supposed to make this experience less stressful on us. If they had moved at an acceptable pace we would not have hit overtime, and if we had we would have been on our second+ load and been happy to pay the overtime fee. To make matters worse my husband tried to contact the Owner. He listened to our complaint and said he was going to speak with his guys then began texting us and would not answer our phone calls until I asked him to please call us directly. He kept defending his guys saying they deserve to take breaks and they can talk while they're working (during the phone call). After lots of arguing the Owner starts to act as if he is on our side and tells us that our card has already been charged the full amount but he will refund us the amount of overtime. Then proceeds to tell us in a text if we leave a bad review he will charge the full amount (see attached photo and the number on the text is the same number listed for this business). This guy needs to be reported to the BBB and yelp. You can't threaten your customers you'll charge full price just because they decide to leave a bad review, and to text it so we have proof?? Why on earth would we leave a good review? My husband still has to rent another truck and take more time off work to finish the move that should have been done in this time frame. Giving us a discount is okay but does nothing to restore our faith in this business. I guess this is what you get when you go with the cheapest guy around. He promises a whole lot but doesn't deliver. read more

Whoever answered the phone when I asked for a quote or told them what I needed wasn't interested in helping me they said they only want to move a whole house even though I have money and I would have paid several hundred dollars for them to move a couple items to my storage that are obviously too heavy and I will have to have a moving company move they didn't want my business they should cater to everyone not just entire house has it's easy money I think it's ridiculous to have a moving company and you won't move peoples items you only want certain jobs just doesn't seem like good customer service or if you don't want to do it at least refer them to someone else who wants the money try to be helpful people moving is already stressful read more

Needed a short notice move and they accommodated me with no problem. I was a little late showing up, Manny and Agustin had no problems waiting a bit and were very courteous. I honestly thought it would take them a while to load into the truck but these guys work fast! They actually took care of my belongings too, unlike other movers I used in the summer. I recommend these guys for fair prices and efficient moving. Just wish I could have these guys unload when I get to Florida lol. read more

We needed to move furniture to two different locations. CA Moving Services arrived on time, picked up our load in Olivehurst, dropped off most of it in Sacramento and the rest in Placerville. Use this company with caution. I received my quote over the phone and put the deposit down thinking I was getting a professional moving company. We had everything in boxes in the garage to make the move as easy as possible. The movers showed up with two tiny trailers our stuff was not going to fit so my husband had to rent a U haul the owner Jaz said he would take the price of the uhaul off of our total. The guys he sent were 16,18 and 19 years old with that being said we loaded the trucks and had to direct the boys on what to do. The guys left 45 minutes before we left and didn't get to our new house until an hour and a half after we did. When we called Jaz to get our final cost he informed us he already charged our card the total amount but would refund us $50 for the Uhaul. This is a great company if you would like kids moving your items putting holes in the walls and unloading everything in the living room. I am very disappointed in this company I strongly recommend not using them. One of the guys that came went to the charter school in marysville he was 18 the other goes to YC and got to work because his teachers were on strike. The two guys were great. Friendly, hard working. For the first four hours. They slowed down quite a bit after that. They scratched my brand new floor, scratched the refrigerator. They wouldn't disconnect the dryer. When they left the old house for the last time they said nothing to me, just left. They went to the new house and proceeded to tell my boyfriend what was left was just a few things we could pick up. Those "few" things consisted of two TVs, washer, dryer, dining room set, coffee table, the two coolers I emptied the frig out with, too heavy for me to get. If they had told me early on or at any time during day that they couldn't finish, we could have made further arrangements. Honestly the company needs to rethink their policy and way of calculating moves. I was more than willing to pay the extra hours. And they just quit. Now I have to find someone to complete the job. If they would only ask how many square feet we have and send 3-4 guys the job would have been complete. Very disappointed! read more
