Aaron, Anthony, and Colton were a very respectful, polite, and efficient crew! Frey's was a very reasonably priced house-to-house move from Lincoln to Fair Oaks. We had a ton of boxes and miscellaneous items that Aaron was a bit concerned about fitting all onto the truck. I asked him to please try to get it all on because I couldn't afford doing a double trip. Well, he did! He got it all on. No walls were damaged, no items damaged. The guys were very kind and helpful unloading the truck as well, placing things where I wanted and reassembling furniture. I can recommend Frey's to you: and hopefully you can request Aaron! I'm updating my review as my original was for a much smaller job 3 years ago involving storage units. This one is for an actual full house move. Positives: The crew arrives on time. They bring their own equipment (dolly's, straps, blankets and furniture wrap) They unattached beds/appliances etc. that needed to be moved They were respectful of our stuff which I really can appreciate. Negatives: -The crew started out pretty strong. 2 hours in and they had most of the house and large furniture moved out. I was impressed and happy at this point. -They didn't have 1 crew working in the house and one working in the garage. We did our best to have things very organized. -It was expensive $300 per hour since we ultimately needed 2 trucks. I was bummed when the 3rd guy arrived and they didn't utilize the 2nd truck til the very end but I still was paying for it. It just sat there on the street. I wish he'd have come when it was time for them to use it. Again, if they'd have been loading both at the same time with one crew doing the house and the other the garage, it would have been more efficient. -After they hit the 3 hour minimum they slowed way down. They'd kind of pick up the pace once I or my husband came out to check on things. We also understand lifting furniture requires small breaks. We were very understanding in this. -We all left for the new house and made it to the location in about 50 minutes, it took these guys an hour and a half (mind you I'm being charged $300 per hour for this) and that did not sit well with me. -Moving furniture into the new house they all worked on building the furniture together instead of 1 or 2 building and the other 1 or 2 doing another. -This job definitely could have been completed in 6-7 hours but their inefficiency made it 10 hours and a $3050 bill. -I'd recommend them for small jobs like unloading a small storage unit (which they did for us before and the owner Kevin helped with) or I'd really shop around. I wanted to support a local Lincoln company one more time and got hosed in the end. read more

Watch the clock on these guys and do shop around before you settle on this company. They were "ok" overall. I booked Frey's for my recent move and am glad I chose them. I found them recommended on a local Facebook page... these guys have it dialed in. They show up and don't stop moving til the job is done. They wrapped every piece of furniture and moved it all without incident. All fees are cut and dry. No hidden fees l, which is great. Also- not related to this review... but if you hire movers, keep in mind they're hustling for you... send someone to go buy coffees or breakfast (bagel sandwiches are an easy and quick option). In April 2024 I hired Frey's to move two storage units in Fairfield to a storage unit in Lincoln. The employees were on time. They wrapped the furniture and took care loading the two trucks .Arrived in Lincoln and they emptied the trucks into a new storage unit. Were very professional and were very hard workers. They help me move at the end of February. They were amazing in how carefully they prepared all the furniture, including taking apart a large dresser with a large mirror. They did not cause any damage in moving everything out or in moving everything into the new house. They were there on time and worked very fast and diligently the whole time. They were also very courteous and friendly. The amount that they had quoted me is the amount that I was charged and it was within the time range they provided. I spoke with Laurie about my move. She was upfront about pricing and what was included. I had seen the Frey's moving truck in my complex the previous week and noticed how professional the loaders were with the client. I liked the pricing and went with Frey's Moving. It was the right call, the movers showed up on time, we walked the areas to formulate what to load first. The took care of my furniture and placed padding down on the rail outside my unit and on the floor. They wrapped items as needed with shrink wrap and blankets. The guys that helped move us were AWESOME, super nice and respectful. The truck they provided was perfect as we had commercial fridges to move which are super tough. But we had some heavy duty furniture and these guys finagled the hell out of getting our stuff upstairs. Kudos to them, the good music, and good laughs during the move. The young men that came out were prompt, courteous, had great attention to detail, and seriously hustled all day to get our house moved in 2 trips. They were also able to handle moving our safe upstairs when another company said we would have to get a safe company. I would highly recommend them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We've used this company a total of 3 times. This last time was nothing short of horrendous and gross negligence from this company. I'm not even sure where to start with how bad this experience was and continues to be with their owner Lori. The movers showed up right on time and then downhill from there. We had absolutely everything packed and all furniture (beds, cribs etc) were already disassembled and ready to go. Yet it too 3 men over 7 hours to load up two trucks and move 1.4 miles down the road. And then another 3 hours to unload and throw our stuff just anywhere they felt like with no regard to it. My husband even came home and started helping unload. So it took a total of 10 hours and $2k. Also one of the movers was heavily drugged and reeked of marijuana. Dumped multiple boxes and the freezer spilling things all over the ground. Then we find they broke our new washing machine ($1300), cracked our fridge door ($2800), fractured our 70" tv, scraped our 65" tv, scratched our 40" tv, broke several boxes marked fragile and left oil stains up and down the stairs and living room at our old place. When contacting them to discuss all of these issues we have been told they won't cover most if anything (insurance) and refuse to acknowledge their extremely poor quality of service. We understand accidents happen but when every single expensive household item is damaged that's gross negligence and the company should be compensating for all damages. Period. Still attempting to communicate with the owner but to little avail. She appears to feel that she's above the stress and monetary value issues she's caused us. After a month of back and forth and the owner insisting she view our home, nothing has been resolved. She's since become a ghost and refuses to acknowledge the wrongdoing on her companies behalf. Used this moving company twice and both times there were on time; they have good rates and the staff was fantastic; Matt and Lori both worked hard to make sure our move went smooth. The second time I used them, I was in a rush, I needed a few guys to move my bedroom furniture after carpeting our second floor: they were able to send those guys back and they did a great job again with all the heavy lifting. They work fast but safely making sure they try not break anything. Moving can be stressful and even if you are the one doing the heavy lifting, some things will get damage, so just relax, hire them and if anything break, oh well; it will give you an excuse to buy something new for your new home. Don't forget to tip them, they are working hard! read more

What an upsetting day! We spoke with Frey's the night before a move because we couldn't get the previous company to move us. They gave us the price the night before and showed up right on time. They moved quickly as they loaded stuff. We had our jewelry box in the back of our vehicle. The moving team identified some items that they did not want to move into the truck because it was too fragile, they suggested that they put it in the back of our vehicle. In the jewelry box was my wife's $9,000 wedding ring. I know that because I saw my wife take it off and put in the box and I loaded the box into the back of the truck. In and out of the back of the 4Runner they went. When they arrived and unloaded, moments after they left my wife called me and said the ring was missing. She immediately called Frey's they dismissed it and said Kevin would call her back, he did not. I called and spoke to one of the office schedulers who was pushing and pulling every possible angle to say I was lying or that they don't have any liability. I then spoke to Lori, she was clear to say that it sounded like I was trying to get a payout and that she doesn't believe any of her team would do that. I pleaded with her. I said I don't want any money please find a way to get the ring. She asked me to check here and check there it must have been our mistake. I spoke with her again later that day and she went with either I was lying or I was mistaken and that she doesn't appreciate me accusing her group of theft. I again asked her to please check the guys' pockets. Please do something anything. She brushed me off and told me it likely was misplaced. We filed with BBB and called Lincoln PD and filed a report. Sadly, we all know the ending. Somebody from this company stole an irreplaceable item from us and we will never get it back. As the police investigated and we later heard that one of the people that was on our move was convicted of Grand Larceny. This person was terminated from employment a week later for stealing another person's watch. We were also informed that this same employee was bragging around the yard that he stole my wife's wedding ring and got away with it. How on earth does this company not do a $35 background check to protect people's valuables? To all who read this, don't make this a question of our judgment, we know it was stupid to have it accessible at all, but you never think that people would be so cold that they would take something that was so valuable in our hearts. And furthermore you think any company who is bonded or has any level of insurance would make an attempt to make this right. They did nothing other than calling us liars and then saying the next day they would help in the police investigation. Likely their agreement to help was to know what was going on in the investigation to minimize the damage to their business. It's been weeks since the move. I've called a handful of times with no return calls. We were really hoping it wouldn't come to this, but I can't say nothing when something so hurtful happened. Somebody stealing the ring was tough, but the complete disregard for our complaint was almost just as bad. Thanks for nothing Frey's! I sincerely hope that this post makes any and all customers avoid your unscrupulous operation. read more

Almost a year later, I found myself needing to move yet again. So, I packed up my house and called Frey's Moving Co. Kevin showed up with 2 staff members and a new white truck (last year it was yellow) promptly at the scheduled time. Having had such an amazing moving experience with Kevin and his crew last year, I decided to reward them by letting the guys move ALL of my things, not just the big items. After a 45 minute load time, the big white truck followed me the short distance to my new place. There, the guys unloaded everything as directed (without a single broken or dropped item to be found) within 45 minutes. Again, I can't proclaim enough how easy it's been to move with Frey's Moving Company. They're quick, efficient, professional, courteous and reasonable priced. These guys are legit, they showed up on time and ready to work! I changed the move time 1 day before and Kevin still accommodated me. It ended up taking longer than I thought, but, we had a ton of stuff. Luckily I only live about 6 blocks away, so we just drove over and picked up another load. All three guys were great, very minor damage to the walls (to be expected), no furniture or boxes damaged at all. They are fast, but not speed demons, they take there time to navigate the tough turns. I don't plan on moving for a very, very long time, but if I do, I would definitely use these guys again. I've used Kevin and his crew twice...once to move a house full of furniture into storage and another to move it from storage back to the house. On both occasions, Frey's was on time, courteous, and very expedient. They wrapped our furniture in plastic for storage, dismantled beds and tables, and moved everything very quickly without any damage, nicks, or scratches. Kevin doesn't talk on the phone while driving and doesn't take calls when he's on the clock. Don't feel uncomfortable about leaving a message...he'll get back to you. He stayed in touch for the three weeks between the time I first called him and the time we moved the furniture to confirm the job. On the return from storage we stopped by a church to pick up a baby grand piano that I'd purchased that morning. Kevin and his men removed the legs and pedals, covered it to protect it, got it on to a piano dolly and had it out of the church and up in the truck in no time. All this and I hadn't arranged for it in advance. All in all, Frey's did a great job and did it very quickly. They treated me and my furniture with great respect. I will certainly recommend Kevin to all of my acquaintances in the Sacramento area without hesitation. read more
