I've had Tino at my house for 3 repairs. The first was my toilet. The second was a small filter leak which turned into a larger project when Tino was educating me about water pressure in my house. As it turned out, my pressure was dangerously high and it needed to be repaired or risk a pipe bursting in my house. I trust Tino 100%. If he says something has to be done to protect my house, I do it ASAP. My most recent repair was a new hot water heater. Tino brought the entire system up to code and worked tirelessly all day, literally ALL DAY. He encountered some problems which was from the manufacturer/product and Tino promised me he would resolve it by calling them the next day. He did...and his resolution (if the issue didn't resolve itself) was to put the customer first and not ruin future business. Impressive! Thankfully, everything resolved itself. Three months ago, Tino did a once-over of the plumbing for me. Got an old house, that's just something one should do every few years. Replaced a few toilet 'guts', repaired a leaky hose bib, found/replaced washing machine lines, installed a pressure regulator and presto! My water usage dropped by a third. Yep! Went from 6K gal/ month before to 3-4 K gal/ month now. That's been the case for three water bills now. AND I read the water meter to be sure they were actually reading it. A-Ok.. I picked CPP based on Bonnie G's review. She's one of the few elites in North County that will actually give a sub-three star review if she's not satisfied. She gave these guys 5 stars. So, I went ahead and booked a repair.. So my issue was more of an emergency but it wasn't on the weekend or night. I could tell that the plumber wasn't really interested at first, but after some explaining of the job he said his price would have to be between 200 and 300 to make it worth his time.. I had already researched this job and it would take about 2 hours for a plumber to do it right. So it was a high quote, but I needed it done right away and wanted to give work to an independent plumber. The work - Safety First is CPP's motto and it's reiterated several times during their job. One example is that he used a more expensive fire retardant gel, over a water spray bottle. He also used a fire mat when using the torch. On an unrelated plumbing job with another company they didn't use either of those. So rest easy knowing that CCP uses safe practices. Price - I was surprised that CPP actually tried to request more money than the high mark of their quote. it was a two hour job, on the button. Of course I didn't pay it, and it just bummed me out. He also noticed a leak from the area he was working on, that wasn't there before he worked on it, and he quoted almost $500 to fix it. Again I said no.. The next day the leak disappeared and has not leaked since. On an unrelated plumbing issue, I had another plumber just look over the workmanship of CPP's work and they said it was done properly. So their work is solid. They also explained why my pipe leaked and fixed itself and said it didn't require a replacement at this point in time. Glad I didn't pay $500 to replace it. So should you go with CPP? Depends if you want to go with a one-plumber shop or a large corporate plumber. It also depends on the job too. There were positives and areas needing improvement (price). If you need a handyman plumber, CPP is a good option. read more

Tino is the best! My husband and I needed help with our water pressure at home, and he came over first thing the next day. He taught us how to check our water pressure with the gauge and showed us where the pressure regulator valve is, as well as the main water shut off. He even gave us a new water pressure gauge so we can check the pressure anytime! He reassured us that our water pressure at 54psi was sufficient and we had nothing to worry about. He also inspected the regulator valve and let us know that it is in good working condition, and also taught us how to adjust the pressure at the valve if we ever needed to adjust it. I replaced a 70 year old bathroom countertop which had only one sink on the left side of a 92 inch vanity. I put two new sinks in and tried myself to connect the sinks to the one cast iron pipe in the wall. After three failures and unable to not have drips I called California Pacific Plumbing. Tino came at the time he said he would, keeping me posted to his expected time of arrival. When Tino arrived he covered my new floor with large foam interlocking pads to protect the floor and his knees. After replacing the old supply valves and connecting all drain pipes Tino checked for leaks over and over again. I am so thankful for having Tino come. It ended up that the bidet I wanted to install on my toilet was not compatible; but it was invaluable the knowledge I received when I asked Tino for a whole house inspection. Several neighbors on my street had serious water leak damages which cost considerable amounts of money and time dealing with what could have been prevented. I believe in being proactive instead of reactive. Tino tested my water pressure which was 87 psi. Code or maximum pressure should be no more than 80 psi. This is a trigger for damaged pipes caused from too high pressure. My pressure regulator was failing so he installed new one. The other areas that needed correction: 1. Under my kitchen sink, there are improper fittings which can can cause premature failure. My plumbing in kitchen had been recently installed in a complete remodel about 4 years ago, so it was relatively new. 2. My bathtub didn't have a "p" trap which is not proper which was found by inspection under my house. We saw that the water just poured out of the bathtub pipe connection onto the ground. 3. There was a metal strap holding up one of my copper pipes which causes galvanic corrosion. It is so good Tino caught this as it destroys the pipe. Tino wrapped rubber tape around pipe where other metal strap couldn't touch. 4. Two of my neighbors had water leaks they didn't know coming from their washer hoses which seeped into their floors and not only damaged their laundry but was far reaching into drywall and surrounding rooms. Insurance does not cover seepage because it is a maintenance issue and not a sudden event like an overflowing tub or washer. To prevent this from happening to me, Tino replaced my washer hoses with stainless hoses and also added "antiknock" valves which are when a surge of water jerks the hose and causes movement loosening the fittings. 5 . My tankless hot water heater needs flushed. This prevents clogging but I didn't know it should be done routinely, All of the items above were found in maintenance inspection that I asked for. It was not Tino trying to up sell. He took pictures and videos of everything he saw underneath my house so I had documentation. It always scared me what one might find under the house, lurking, and never knowing until it was too late. Now I can address each item in order of importance and keep my home safe from "catastrophic surprises." It is so comforting to have met Tino, not only for having problems taken care of, but his kindness, helping educate me in maintaining my home. He showed up right at appointed time. I researched everything online for going rate of plumbers and he is right on target. Please know that I found Tino on Yelp through the reviews of others with no prior knowledge of him or who he was.
