YA'LL! Lavish totally blew me away with their service. I had wanted to try Stiletto nails for awhile and asked for reccs from my friends on Facebook. Lavish was recommended by several people but Loi, the manager, saw my ask and reached out personally to invite me to his salon. He also gave me a heads up that their sign still said "Tip Top Nails" which was helpful in knowing I'd pulled up to the right place. My mom and I came in next day and Loi remembered me from Facebook and got us in for service pretty quickly considering how busy they were. Amy was my tech and WOW she was amazing! I showed her a picture on Pinterest of what I wanted and she matched it almost exactly. Even when we ran into issues (my go-by used gold ribbons and her ribbons lost their color when applying the glue so that wasn't working) she problem solved to get me the look I wanted using alternate means. Cannot recommend her enough especially if you want something a little off the wall. She is up to the challenge. Great experience. I've been in the area for almost 4 years now and I've just about went to most of the salons, this one is by far the best. The nails are quality, and affordable. The work is true to price 100%. Very sweet techs! I usually come here to get my gel pedicures and Dip manicures. They always do a great job and they last long, generally it's hard to find a place that last long and still the work maintains its design and look. The longest I've had a set was a month and even by the last day I was still getting compliments on them. The environment can be sometimes crowded during noon and evening time (this is typical in any salon though) the vibe is amazing nonetheless. read more

I got my nails done, and they turned out terrible. The designs started coming off in less than a week, and three nails came loose--I even tried gluing them back on, but they didn't stay. When I contacted the salon, their only solution was to have the same person who messed them up redo them. These were supposed to be my vacation and birthday nails, and now I'll have to pay someone else to fix them. read more

I had a wonderful experience getting a pedicure & manicure from Mary. She did a fabulous job. She even made great recommendations for my needs. That says a lot coming from a man like myself who has high standards. I don't give positive reviews often. But Mary won me over with hospitality, customer service, and skills. ----LAVISH NAILS CARBONDALE ---- BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE i am posting to see if this happened to anyone else or what is your opinion. Over the last two days I spent 200$ with tips just trying to get my nails done and fixed after they were done badly and I feel cheated. I paid to the deluxe pedicure and simple polish for my nails. This is the fist time I went I got beautiful "dip nails" (yellow and pink) she did an amazing job. Well... this time I come in asking for simple polish since my nails feel damaged and most of the nails pooped off after I had them for nearly a whole month. They said okay no problemo sit down and I explain this is my first time getting polish done I did dip the other time. And before that I have never gotten my nails done. No one recommended gel polish to me or warned me that it would be utter crap if I picked polish. Appointment starts great they take out ingrown nails in my feet and it's lovely. Then when she applied the polish it just looked terrible lumpy and smuggy I wait nearly 1hr and half quietly for the net client to be done get my nails fixed and re painted, then they still looked bad and never dried all the way so when I got home alot of the polish came off even after I wait a long time for it to dry. So I come in the next day to get them fixed I explain I'm here to get them fixed and since what they texted me I don't want polish and I asked for "dip" again and the receptionist looks at me and says you sure you want dip and I said yes. I just wanted to leave after my fingers got done I didn't feel like staying even more time to get my toes fixed so I go to check out and they tell me I have to pay again since I picked a different product, the lady checking me in never said anything before! Told me I have to pay or talk to the boss, boss agrees with her saying I have to pay and when I start walking away crying then he's like yeah you can have 10% So I walked outta that store after paying in tears thinking I just wanted to feel nice and I came out with messed up toe nails and 4hrs of wasted time. I do not recommend this nail salon at all. They charged me $100 for my nails. all of my nails are oversized, uneven, and chunky. This business is not worth it at all. I have been to salons way cheaper who have done way better. This completely shocked me considering almost all of the photos they have posted on their social medias of nails look phenomenal. On top of that when showing other people I have had multiple friends tell me they have had the same exact experience and result with their nails. These nails are genuinely embarrassing. read more

I am not satisfied at all. First of all, me and my friend called first and get appointment for DESIGNED nails. When we got there, I was told my appointment for designs needs to be done before coming there, no understanding of previous calls. Later on, i asked for acrylic, but because of language barrier I got gel ones. During the process I got cut really deeply and all my tries to explain that it hurts and I can pressure it myself, after putting some "special" essence. worst service ever, they have a new staff and their are so rude. the frist time I went there was a young guy a kid. who gave me a pedicure .he left sugar scrub residue all on my leg, he act as if he didn't want to touch my feet or leg. with the towel to Dry my leg off . By the time he was done my feet was sliding out my sandal due to a poor job of him wiping my leg & feet .. not too mention my leg started to get irritated from the scrub residue he left . I complained and they act as if it was normal.. ok went back For only my nails 2 months later,the short lady with glasses refuse too do my nails because I wanted a medium length. she tried to force me too get long nails . I tefuse to get them and she refuse to do them. So of course this guy did them for me. But due to them doing a poor job on gel nails that only last a week . I got classic. I moved to the Carbondale area almost a year ago. I tried another salon first that I wasn't a fan of. So I tried Lavish next and have been so happy with their customer service and general nail service. I have not had a bad pedicure and I've had several different techs. They are high quality but efficient. I am a frequent visitor to getting my nails done so the fact that they also have a rewards program is great. Highly recommend to anyone who gives me compliments. read more

The first time I went to Lavish Nails the lady that did my shellac did an excellent job. I have only been four to five times and the past two times the same person did my nails. I had a shellac manicure both times and both times within two-three days the nail polish has peeled off my nails in large chunks. This same person also did not take much time to shape the nails or cut back the cuticles and the polish job each time was choppy with parts of the nail not being covered. So I am never one to write bad reviews because I don't like to be that negative person but I feel like this should be said so people don't waste their money here. I came here for the first time about less than week ago and got shellac nails on acrylic. Within 5 days the paint on one of my nails chipped off, a big chip which was really noticeable. I called the salon to see if they could fix it and they said they would. I asked if I should make an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait but they said no to just walk in. I walked in today and I was told the girl who did my nails would fix it shorty. She was doing a pedicure. I waited 30 min for her to be done and when she finally was she sat someone else who was getting her nails done at her chair. Keep in mind I only have one nail to fix so I asked the man who greeted me when I came in if I could go first since I had been waiting for a long time and it was only one nail I needed to get fixed. He said no because the other girl was first and she had an appointment. Now I got upset because I had called about my issue and asked if I should make an appointment they said no & I had been waiting for half an hour to get my nail fixed because they didn't do it right in the first place. I would have to wait until this other 40-50 minutes to get one nail fixed. They didn't care how long I waited or that I had called in advance to ask if I should make an appointment. I left without getting my nail that they messed up fixed and wasting half an hour for nothing. Wow and as I'm writing this another nail just started to chip. I get my nails done a lot but I will NEVER go back there again. read more

The worst manicure and pedicure I have ever received in my 20 years of living. My feet had the same amount of dry skin when I left as when I got there. I would have been better off doing them myself at home. In fact, I did go home and do them myself and it took literally 30 minutes to get all the dead skin off that the lady left. When you pay money for something, you would think they would at least put in an effort. My manicure on the other hand was just as pitiful. My nails were not painted evenly. In fact, most of my nails did not have paint completely covering them. There was also paint all over my cuticles. I am throughly disappointed in the effort put forth, the amount of time dedicated to a paying customer, and the outcome of the entire process. I felt bad walking out of there not leaving a tip but with the service I received, she didn't even deserve for me to pay the price of the manicure and pedicure. There is nothing that Lavish Nails can do to improve but to shut down. I was recommended by someone that frequents there. And my regular person couldn't fit me in. Myself and my husband has an important gathering to attend. So the owner walked me through the check-in process. I asked for the owner Lao or the female with the colored hair to service me only. I was denied that request, even though Saturday's are walk-in only. And I received that information from the owner himself. So Lao(liar) pushed me off on Liz and I was beyond skeptical from the beginning. But the owner claim to vouch for her expertise. She asked me what services I wanted. And I was very specific in my services. I wanted my old nails soaked off, a full set of acrylics, COFFIN SHAPE ONLY, gel polish(shellac via CJ from E. Claire) and marbling on two nails. The total for the service was $56 which I had absolutely no problem paying. Liz did what she thought was trendy and fashionable. She started my nails with coffin shape. But the end result was that I had stelleto nails which I loathe. They are they ugliest nails I have ever seen. She threw globs of bubble shaped acrylic on my nails. The application was abnormally shaped. The application had deep dents in the acrylic placement. And she put my tip on my right finger on extremely crooked. The tip made my finger looked like it was broken in two places. And Liz's explanation for her mistake was, "That everyone's finger is not completely straight. So the tip is going to look crooked on your finger." And when she TRIED to smooth out the nails by her definition. There was no real attempt on her behalf. The only thing that I truly enjoyed was the marbling that she had done. I didn't see all the mistakes she had made because we was engulfed in conversation. I didn't realize the atrocious work until I left the salon. I don't know who was more pissed me or my husband. So I called Lao and told him about my nails. So he asked me to come back in so he could see the work. Instead of stepping away from his customer for two minutes. And we have a intellectual conversation in the back with Liz. He critized me, ME for her below sub par work. I just stood there in aahh. Not because I was shocked but because I would have destroyed him and his entire staff verbally. Ppl like Lao talk to just black women beyond disrespectful. Because he and others like him feel like they can. But they will/would they ever talk to a white woman so disrespectfully. And it's the truth because you see it on videos everyday. I told the friend that referred me to HIM/BOZO. And told him she didn't send her friends to get their nails( f word) up. She tried to bring him business from ppl that could afford his prices. He apologized profusely, but it didn't change my view of him nor his shop. CJ. from E. Claire was horrified by the botched job. That she took picture of my nails and placed it on one of her pages. FB, Instsgram, Twitter and how she made my nails beautiful again. It took four visits to fix my index finder on my right hand. Now it looks like a real coffin shaped nail from an EXPERT. And not just someone practicing on nails. I will never recommend this saloon to a friendenemy.
