I should've read the reviews prior to getting services performed here. I've never received this poor level of service from an establishment and I'm a very patient and understanding person. Whenever I voiced a concern about the equipment and overall process, I was either met with an attitude or was dismissed. When I went to share my experience with a manager, the manager was rude, defiant, and dismissive. I was quite shocked by my experience as I've never been treated so poorly, even while I displayed patience and a calm demeanor. Be cautious when utilizing this service. Their business model seems to be conducting sleep studies in which every patient is diagnosed with sleep apnea and, as a result, needs to rent or purchase a CPAP device from them. I'm beyond frustrated with this company's handling of my account. As a current patient, I was hit with an unexpected bill due to their failure to properly manage changes with my new insurance. I confirmed coverage with my referring doctor months ago and was told I'm fine. They also told me via chat that my insurance no longer covers "supplies" I was trying to order, yet never warned me about charges for the machine with these changes nor asked me to return it. This lack of communication is unacceptable and left me with a financial mess. Worse, they don't even answer phone calls when I try to get answers. No explanation, no support, just silence. Online reviews show I'm not alone as well, others have been blindsided too. Avoid this place unless you enjoy surprises and terrible service. The technicians during my assessment were great, but not confident in the treatment center itself. I'm still waiting for someone competent to explain this disaster and fix it. Hopefully they at least respond to their contact form. I've also uploaded other reviews to reflect the negative trend that is happening. Refered by UC Davis. Every single interaction with staff has been awful. Their motto is the customer is always wrong. The customer can wait - sometimes months. The customer can overpay for equipment (4 times Amazon pricing). I've even been threatened by these people. For example, my water reservoir began leaking just 2 months after i got my machine. I called CSS and was told I could buy one for 4x what I could buy on Amazon. Plus they wanted pictures proof the reservoir was leaking. I then contacted the manufacturer Dream Station who told me the replacement reservoir was covered by warranty and CSS should immediately ship me a new one free. They also provided me a direct line for CSS to call to confirm. I then called CSS and relayed this. CSS said no it wasn't covered and initially refused to contact the manufacturer. A MONTH LATER they finally sent me a new reservoir. I will buy my parts on Amazon as it's much cheaper and faster. Another example, I asked to be removed from auto ship but afterwards I received a package. I emailed CSS and asked them if they would like it returned or adjust their pricing to reflect market pricing. They wanted me to drive 2 hours to return the items in person. When I offered they could come get it, or I'd Return to sender, the response was to threaten me saying if the items were not new they would charge me. I don't know who the owner or management team is but they are not training their people or they are intentionally trying to line their pockets by charging for items the manufacturer says is covered under warranty. After many attempts to get it fitted properly, I have come to a moment in time, that they are there, they do not help and know very little about their products or the patients medical condition. It has been weeks and weeks since her initial sleep study which revealed very concerning results. I just wanted to post a recap about my experience with California Sleep solutions, I had an unfortunate event and had to stay with the hospital for several nights away from home, I called California sleep solutions who was the supplier of my CPAP machine who were utterly clueless about my prescription or the settings on my machine. The machine is hooked up to the cell network and can have live data viewed in real time which includes how well the machine is working and what your prescription is, despite them being the distributor and programmer of the machine, they could not tell me any of these things. And as a bonus, I've been using their philips machine for over a year now, as long as philips has been having a worldwide machine recall, they are recalling millions of CPAP machines worldwide due to degrading mouth pieces which can cause deadly health side effects, I'm sure California sleep solutions has known about this as long if not longer as philips just went PUBLIC with the recall over a year ago. They are involved with dozens of billion dollar attorney firms who are suing them. The worst part about this is California sleep solutions knew all along that they sold thousands of CPAP machines here locally and I didn't receive a single call, Text, or email warning me to stop usage of the machine. Take my advice and stay away from California sleep solutions because they don't care about you whether you're a past, present, or future customer! read more

I've been using California Sleep Solutions for more than 20 years and they have steadily gone downhill in my mind. I was once very happy with them but I can no longer say anything positive. It's often difficult to get a live person on the phone. But that's not my main complaint. They now want me to pay for supplies even though I am fully ensured. I also got approved for a new machine (my fifth one) and they want me to pay more than $50 a month to rent it. I turned that "offer" down and I will just stick to what I have. I recently had a home sleep study done through the Roseville location. They answer the phone every time I call, are courteous, friendly and helpful from start to finish. The test results were sent to me within the committed time, and this was over the Christmas holiday season. I highly recommend this sleep lab. read more

In response to the Business Owner's statement, I won't argue with the amount of time spent with me (although, to be honest, it was more like 1/2 hour max, which should have been sufficient. Daniel was MIA, and the staff in the office went searching for him and apologizing to me. He lied to you about his tardiness as well as what he said he shared with me. He said nothing of what you reported he said. More critical was the settings on the machine and someone in your business should be reading the information easily found on the ResMed site. It has been TEN MONTHS since I got my CPAP machine from this clinic but they never bothered to postal mail me the replacement supplies that are supposed to be sent every 6 weeks. I had to stop using my CPAP machine because I don't have clean filters or a clean tube, headgear or face mask. For hygiene reasons these parts should be replaced every six weeks. But in the last 10 months CSS never bothered to send me replacement supplies. They gave me some lame excuse "your insurance company rejected the authorization". Well I called both Anthem Blue Cross and Medi-Cal and was informed that CSS NEVER BILLED THEM FOR SUPPLIES I needed for the last 10 months, replaced every six weeks. I have made 3 calls in the last week to CSS and their staff has very poor communication skills and lacks rudimentary problem solving skills. Although, technically I have the $2,200 CPAP machine - It is impossible for me to use it for the last 10 months due to the incompetence and ineptitude of CSS. Tomorrow I am going to my primary care doctor and ask for a referral to a different sleep clinic - beccause I have been unable to use the CPAP machine I still need the 9 month trial period of having the computerized info from the CPAP machine nightly sent to the sleep specialist doctor. Just to give you an idea how incompetent CSS clinic is - they NEVER BILLED MY INSURANCE FOR THE $900 CPAP machine - CSS dispensed this durable medical equipment to me BUT NEVER BILLED Anthem Blue Cross or MediCal. CSS is so incredibly messed up and after 3 phone calls in just one week and the last 10 months I have been unable to even use my CPAP machine due to not being shipped replacement supplies every 6 weeks - I now realized this is CSS doing PATIENT ABANDONMENT. If you have chronic sleep apnea FIND A DIFFERENT CLINIC - I am on THREE hypertension medications due to untreated chronic sleep apnea hypoxy. Having zillions of apnea episodes every night there is a significant lack of oxygen to my brain, internal organs and blood supply - having untreated chronic sleep apnea can cause Alzheimers, Dementia, and life threatening chronic degenerative disease - I have zero confidence in CSS - BADLY DONE Grade F One star is too high a rating Colleen Whalen read more

Had an in person appointment last night at 10 pm. The facility was spotless, including hallways, men's bathroom and especially the sleep room. The technology allowed for the technician to respond to your individual requests ( bathroom) via a microphone in the bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable with two pillows and comforter set to meet the cool temperature of the room. Most importantly the technician, Diana, eased my fears of the experience. I suffer from claustrophobia and with Diana's help, not a single episode for me. Now I am just awaiting results which take about 2 weeks. read more

Horrible Customer Service. Had a sleep study done last year after waiting two months due to backlog. In needed of machine urgently and doctor and I had to wait two weeks to get results of sleep study. Equipment supplied told aprox 97.00 a month at time of service. For my portion. No bills for three months and then almost $800 Dollar bill. Later explained it was due to copays for Service that was not discussed previously and was my fault for having a high deductable. Called during the middle of the pandemic to ask for extra filters and was told they would not send until my bill was paid in full. Misleading information. I will not give them any additional business aside from what I owe them. CPAP Supplies readily available online with no hassle less price and they will bill by insurance. It is a shame that these practices are happening. Allot of people would pay without reconciling their bill. read more

So disappointed in Customer service, consistently shipping incorrect orders after reciting orders over the phone, erroneous billing dates, charge me on one day and confirming order would ship same week then showing service a week later claiming date shipped is date of service not date ordered and denying that verbal ship confirmation date they committed to (cost me $250 for new year deductible) and still shipped wrong products. No one seems to represent company, everyone I talk to blames someone else, no follow up to commitments, call one day, follow up promises, call back next day no one know what the issue is, claims they didn't talk to me so we start over again and again and again. Incredibly frustrating, employees don't understand that they represent California Sleep Solution, blame each other and not following up reflects poorly on the company. I have been trying to get through to the number provided on the companies comment for a week now, have left messages to no avail. I'm still owed calls from billing supervisors from over 3 weeks ago which have never had been returned. The billing manager did return my call and apologized, said they could not redo the ship date that cost me $250 because they did not meet their commitment but offed a 20% discount. I was driving and asked her to updated the bill and send it. She took the time to understand each issue and we had a positive conversation. I had a lot of problems adjusting to the c-pap mask. Several acquaintances told me to ask for a mask that might have been easier for me to adjust to sleeping in. I literally would pull the mask off of my face while I was sleeping. Instead of offering any substitution as I asked, I was merely labeled "noncompliant" and billed. And asked to pay my bill. And pay. I felt as though the billing was more important than the patient. I don't know if other places are more patient friendly but I don't think that CA sleep solutions truly cares. If my doctor recommended the product and the sleep company is the "expert", I expected much more support than telling me to just wear it or wear it while you are awake. read more

Must have taken 6 months to get in but not CLS fault , but " the system " at fault , HUMAN BEINGS LIKE SHELLY actually care about their patients as was demonstrated on 8/26/21. Shelly was knowledgeable and caring as well as providing a nice double size Cot - bed my spouse / home caregiver slept in while I was under sleep study . I did tell Kathy S our needs for the appointment A couple months back in the scheduling aspect , Kathy S had that set up and no issues upon arrival and in my notes upon check in . A very well professional ran clinic as again, I go back to Shelly and her demeanor, which was positive, kind and had my health care wellness in mind and my best interest in care as well . We NEED MORE SHELLY'S in the health care industry, not those jaded bitter young or old or arrogant, of any race of humans as the only race in life is, we all our human beings and expect to be treated as such in mutual respect . You see them out there and they ruin it for you the patient, your care etc and give California Health Care a bad name. Not in this instance and would recommend this facility to anyone if asked ! I couldn't get a full night's sleep because the air conditioning was too loud. The option of turning it off wasn't explained until too late. The staff is very professional and well mannered. It would help if it was added to the procedure explanation that white gooey paste is used in placing the electrical leads on your head, torso and legs. That requires a shower to clean off as it sticks in your hair. Bring a towel or two for a shower. Four leads were still on my legs when I got home. It will be interesting to see what the 'results' are when I actually had so little sleep. read more

My anxious 94-year-old mother was very comfortable With the helpful staff member and the calming environment at the sleep center. My mother is sleeps on a soft 6 inches pillow top mattress. She had difficulty sleeping because of the firmness of the bed. I have heard that firm bed are better for people to sleep on but I would suggest the option of foam top for people who are unaccustomed to such a firm mattress. My mother reports not sleeping at all but the staff said she fell asleep for an hour or an hour and a half and they were able to capture her readings. Excellent care! read more

I have had a two part Sleep Study with the Roseville site. The staff is very friendly and helpful with getting you prepped and settled in. I had never send a sleep apnea machine before and my tech checked on me twice while remotely monitoring during the night to make adjustments for better breathing and even changed masks so I would be most comfortable. Their reporting is timely and got to m primary immediately for review. Highly recommend CSS! read more
