The first things they asked for when I stepped in the door for "an interview" -- NO JOB OFFER HAD BEEN EXTENDED -- were my identification and social security card. I told them that I was pretty sure that it is illegal to ask for these documents unless a job offer has been extended and they need them to complete the I-9. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. In this day and age with identity theft, you can't just hand over your information to anyone who does not yet have a legal right to ask for it. RUN!!! read more

This place is terrible terrible terrible . I was finally given a assignment after 6 months of being signed up with them.I Sent off to do a drug test where they cut a good chunk of your hair. I was told the job id be starting was gonna start will began soon as they got the word. I was never called so i had to call them. I spoke with my rep and she said everything was good and i passed the drug testing and they were still waiting on a word from the job. That was 1 and a half weeks after . i called back 1 week later and got sent on a run around when i tried to speak to my rep. Shes in meeting, oh shes at lunch, oh shes actually on vaction.... Never received call about the job so i pretty much got my hair cut for no reason. This place is a joke and i dont understand why they are still open. read more

I'd say they are great UNTIL you expect to get paid for the work you do. Don't expect to receive your paychecks consistently.......unless you are willing to drive where ever you are to their Northridge office and pick it up yourself. Getting my paycheck is such a hassel, I either have to wait 3 or 4 days after they mail it to receive it or drive way out of my way to pick it up...........they need to do their employees a favor and offer Direct Deposit! They dont take any of the blame for it, they just blame it on the post office. Horrible service in terms of paycheck.......Outside of that, they are good but not near as good as other temp agencies I have worked with in the past. read more

Garbage Company, run by young females, if they don't find you appealing they won't send you off to work anymore or anywhere lol. Very unprofessional, I tried quitting several times, apparently, "I am not allowed to quit." WHAT THE HECK? LoL, they send you off to work for a bunch of older depressed gentlemen, then, since your not TECHNICALLY hired directly, you can get fired for just pissing the wrong persons off.... to the temp company, "being fired from a job" means they never call you, yet they save you as an employee in case they are ever desperate to use you again. I worked with Dawn who was great at getting jobs that either fit what I knew how to do or finding me new opportunities to venture into a new industry. I have never been so disappointed in the quality of people provided by a temp service. I recently had an employee leave my company suddenly and thus needed to hire someone temporarily while I found a proper replacement. The temp only needed to open my shop, answer the phone and do remedial hands on work requiring only the simple skills (I.e. cleaning, inventory counting and light customer service getting signatures for prepared paperwork for rentals) The first person California Temp services sent had zero hands on skills and was never punctual which made opening a real problem. After the 3rd time in 3 weeks of being late to work I asked for a replacement. The replacement was punctual but possessed very little in comprehensive skills. This meant constantly having to repeat myself on common tasks. On one occasion, this "helper" was given specific instructions for cleaning a few $17k rental units in preparation for a job. Ignoring my instructions he proceeded to use an acid cleaner designed for removing tar to clean the instructional labels . This virtually destroyed 4 of these units making them un-rentable. Letting that go was hard but done. It was the constant attention that he needed that became very frustrating. When I mentioned needing a replacement . They informed me that the two employees that they sent were the best they had. If this is true then I strongly recommend finding a better place to find help. Do yourself and company a favor and go with a better company with more qualified people! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Not doing this to be petty, just doing this to warn people, since no one in the reviews warned me. Do NOT go to this agency, all they've done is waste my time. They'll have you come in & spend 2-3 hours doing nothing but filling out paper work (W2s, Employment History, Social Security, signing contracts, etc..) , Spending over 45 minutes taking very unecessary tests that don't even pertain to the position you previously applied for, & then at the very last 3 minutes of having spent almost 3 hours here, they finally get to the fake interview & all they'll say is "It should take 2-3 days for the background check to come back" & when you ask about the position you applied for, they refuse to give you any information on it. What a total waste of my time & for any one else that is in desperate need of a job. I have absolutely no criminal record & i passed all of their ridiculous testing, but when I tried to call back after 3 days, they lied saying that they could not verify my work history & requested a check stub. I sent them one, & they did not respond back to me. After that, all of my emails were ignored, & when they finally did get back to me, They told me the only positions they had open were "Senior Level positions that require me to come in for further testing". I declined doing any further business with these people. I repeat, DO NOT COME TO THIS AGENCY, chances are, the job posting that they advertise is just a decoy to get you to come in & register with them. Thats how they get paid. read more
