Well, they asked for a review but I don't think this is the one they want. Call2Inspect was recommended by our realtor and inspected my son's house on July 26, 2022 . My son was told he didn't have to be there for the first part of the inspection and showed up at the end for a review. The inspection provided us with a list of the defects found. Most of these were minor and not of great concern. They did discover hail damage to the roof which we were able to negotiate with the seller for a new roof which was great. However, the inspector missed that the front set of double doors does not latch securely; there is no bolt to hold the doors closed and a simple push or pull pops them open. The doors are extremely dangerous in this condition. This was discovered after the inspection so I called the owner of the company, Dave Roos, to ask how they missed the problem with the front door. It is literally the FIRST thing you encounter when entering the house. Mr. Roos proceeded to lecture me that they found 32 items during inspection (true) and that THEY got us a new roof. Uh, not even a little bit true. WE negotiated that. But he then told me that if we had paid $2000 for a "full inspection" where they live in the house for 2 - 3 days, they could then tell us EVERYTHING that is wrong with the house. If we had paid for that they would have discovered that the front door was broken. W...T...F??? Who ever heard of that? During our conversation he asked me to send him photos and video of the problem which I did that same day. I have sent him several additional emails to see if he received the photos and have not gotten any response from him. He is clearly ignoring me and not taking any responsibility for this unbelievable failure in the inspection. Unfortunately, my son is an inexperienced homebuyer and I am out of state. He was told during the walk through when he discovered the problem with the front door, that "you can't do anything about it now." (Also not true but that is a failure of his realtor). So we are stuck with securing the doors with a 2x4 while we wait for delivery and installation of new double doors at a cost of $3000. This should have been identified at the inspection and negotiated with the seller. Their report states that "this inspection was conducted with reasonable care and complies with the Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspectors." I guess I need to inform Mr. Roos that the Standards require the inspection of Exterior Doors (4.1 A - 2). So it's clear that they DO NOT follow the Standards of Practice. And they do not stand by their work. If you have a complaint, he will not respond to your concerns. After our first and only conversation when I brought the door to Mr. Roos's attention, he then mansplained his company's failure as not their fault or responsibility. The owner of this company is extremely unprofessional and rude and does not guarantee any of their work in any way. Looking at some of their other 1-star reviews, it is clear that his response to complaints is consistently to blame the homeowner and whine that it's not their fault. He will not resolve or even respond to any issues resulting from their failures. Do yourself a favor and use a different company. Mr. Roos, you asked for my review and you got it. If you had responded to my multiple emails instead of ignoring my legitimate complaint, I doubt I would have written the review this way. I can't wait to see how you will respond to my review and blame me for this. Should be interesting. read more

Similar to others, Call2Inpsect was recommended to us by our realtor, and they were price competitive ($579 for an inspection + radon test), so we decided to use them to inspect a home we were under contract with. While we found their inspector (Jason) to be courteous and professional, he unfortunately missed a major moisture issue in the crawl space of the home in his inspection report. We thus proceeded with the purchase of the home without raising this issue with the seller. Since that time, after becoming suspicious of moisture in the crawl space, we have consulted with three companies. All three confirmed the presence of puddles of water and excessive humidity in the crawl space and the need to address these issues to prevent serious structural issues with the home. Their quotes range from $11,000-15,000. With the quotes in hand, we reached back out to our inspector to see what, if anything, they could do to help us out. After all, Call2Inspect's website claims, "Your satisfaction is guaranteed." Our inspector relayed our concerns to the president of the company, Dave Roos, who promptly replied and initially offered some advice. However, in the end, he claimed we should have sought out the advice of experts earlier and cited their fine print concerning their limits of liability. He simply ignored my e-mails asking if they would help cover any of the repair expenses or perhaps refund the cost of the inspection. Clearly, Call2Inspect's customer satisfaction is not guaranteed, as their website would make you believe. With regard to the interpersonal touch, there wasn't even a, "sorry to hear about your problems." Unfortunately, given our experience, we cannot recommend Call2Inpsect. EDIT in response to Call2Inspect's comment: First and foremost, I did not ask to be paid $10,000, as claimed by Call2Inspect. I kindly asked for assistance with repairing a problem that was missed during inspection, or for them to at least honor their customer satisfaction guarantee and refund the cost of the inspection. Disappointingly, they simply ignored my request. It is probable that Call2Inspect has confused a satisfaction guarantee for something that they don't have to honor. Secondly, their recommendation was to have every single issue mentioned by their inspector further evaluated by specialists. As a customer, you have to pick issues that seem most critical and try to investigate those further during the inspection period. Unfortunately, the issue in question was not flagged as such by their inspector. read more

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this company. They missed a key code violation in their inspection of my house (boiler installed without isolator valve- required per code). Because of this, a simple $75 repair turned into a $525 debacle... When I called the owner (Dave) to discuss the issue, he shared it was not his company's responsibility to know building codes, and he felt no responsibility for the issue I was needing to repair. He was unprofessional, disrespectful and extremely condescending- he did not know the code for equipment his company "inspected", he continually talked over me during our conversation and get this- he actually shared that it was his fiduciary responsibility to not respond to mistakes his company makes, as the cost would put him out of business??? Obviously, I'm not the only one to have experienced this poor service before. You may be able to save some $ with Call2Inspect, but it's a gamble I'm sure paying for in the long run. This service is too important to not get right. Stay away... Find someone that values their customers and stands behind their work. read more

Originally I was very impressed with the service I received on the inspection and paid in full immediately. They seemed to be professional and thorough. However, a few months after closing I tried to access my inspection report online, which is the only way it had been sent to me, and was informed that the link had expired. We called the office no less than 5 times requesting to either have the link reopened or a hard copy sent but no one would honor our request. I then spoke to the owner who refused to give me a copy of the report I paid for. I can only surmise from this that if he won't let you access the results of the inspection he did after you own the home that he must be worried that he did not do an adequate job and is worried about lawsuits. I have never had someone not give me access to a report that I had paid to have done. It is ridiculous. If he had simply provided it to me, I would have given the company a good review but his refusal to do so and to waste so much of my time trying has made me want to make sure that no one else has to deal with him and potentially have this problem read more
