To be clear, the rebuild was started prior to the mitigation work being settled. After Vertical Restoration settled with the insurance company for less than expected, the owner, Kenny, informed us that he would avoid collecting the additional amount of the remaining balance if two Google reviews were provided. During the rebuild, the subcontractor Andrew's work was not up to standard. When this was brought to his attention, he was rude and dismissive. When Kenny came, he inspected the work and told Andrew to fix it. Then, Kenny notified us that "the company was too busy to complete this rebuild". He also promised that Nate, the "owner," would call us. No one ever called. All communication moving forward was through email. The billing practices were inconsistent and misleading. Estimates were vague, missing clear square footage or itemized costs. Charges changed from one invoice to the next--for example, a toilet reset was left off at first, then appeared later at different prices. Worse, we were billed for fixing their own installation mistake without notice. This company operates with a lack of transparency and communication. Hidden charges, broken promises, and dismissive treatment left us frustrated and disappointed. I strongly warn others to scrutinize their estimates and think twice before hiring them.

My experience was the exact opposite -- an absolute nightmare. Working with Kenny and Nate from Vertical Restoration was not just disappointing, it was an absolute disaster. They CLAIMED to be insurance-savvy, but Nate and Kenny repeatedly sent incomplete, and inaccurate quotes to insurance that lacked basic required details (such as humidity levels, physical measurements) and kept recycling the same price even when the scope was clearly changing. Vertical Restoration left my kitchen looking like a war zone -- staples and splintered wood everywhere (photo attached). It was a complete safety hazard, especially with a toddler in the house. AND VERTICAL RESTORATION DID NOT PAY THEIR SUBCONTRACTOR for cabinet removal work that was clearly included in the quote and approved by insurance. It took THREE WEEKS just to get insurance to agree on coverage, where Vertical Restoration threatened to put a lien on my house. TWO MONTHS after paying Vertical Restoration, the subcontractor is STILL unpaid. Meanwhile, my family was forced into a hotel for months -- far from ideal with a toddler. Now I am getting weekly emails and calls from the subcontractor begging for updates because Vertical Restoration is ignoring everyone -- subcontractor, insurance adjuster, and anyone trying to follow up. Every person who saw the kitchen after mitigation was stunned by how terrible and shoddy the work delivered was. On my birthday, I spent HOURS answering insurance questions because of Vertical Restoration's fraudulent behavior related to the unpaid subcontractor. I was called by the inspector and also there was a cease and desist order posted on my door until I was able to prove to them that there was no "disturbed" asbestos in either the dumpster or in the house....first thought..."YIKES!" The woman who answered the phone (sorry I can't remember her name at the moment) was awesome and gave me a brief description of their services. I was leaving on business trip in 3 hours and she said I might have someone in the area and if so we can check it out today... at that point the phone almost dropped out of my hand....this is Denver any type of activity that involves construction is always 4 to 6 weeks out! Needless to say they did have Blake who is one of their inspectors just finishing a job that was not too far away and he showed up about an hour later at my house. He was incredibly informed and competent at the requirements of what needed to happen with this problem. He took about 10 samples from the dumpster and the house...even spoke personally to the city inspector who wrote the property up about the situation. Immediately sent the samples to the lab and a few hours later I got a phone call regarding what they found. Amazingly quick and efficient. All I can say about this is: This company is well run, they are very personable and incredibly competent at what they do and finally trustworthy...they have you the customer in mind not the idea of lining there pockets with your dollar bills.
