This place is super clean and everyone working there was really friendly and personable. They actually listen to you, they're on time, and they take your concerns seriously. I honestly wish I could keep going here, but the VA makes it complete nightmare to get treatment--they won't send my meds to Dermatology or even let me pick them up myself to bring over. If you want factory like care this is your place. The physicians or the like seem to be on a stop watch to see how fast they can leave the exam room. Don't try to ask questions. Hillbillies aren't expected to have questions. The poor Medical Assistants are the people stuck in the room with the patient when the provider leaves. I had a biopsy of a lesion on left forearm during my appointment. Dr.Sago is extremely thorough and listens to her patients concerns. She made the biopsy as comfortable as possible and explains the procedures in detail, which I appreciate. I definitely will miss all the articles she usually has on the wall. The pics and explanations were very helpful and if not for her interest in her patients, I would not have been exposed to these. I called this the "derm info" wall. They prescribed accutane to my son. He has suffered major long term mental health side effects. They did not warn us. This drug is so damaging. I do not even think they were aware of the massive damage this drug can cause. Take time and research this extremely dangerous drug. Money mill. Money mill. Money mill. My daughter was in for tiny mole removal on her neck and freezing one spot of warts on her hand. They removed two moles that were not an issue and didn't remove the one bothering her. Doctor was in the room less than 10 minutes maybe 5 minutes. Total bill was $841.00. Leaving me to pay $400.00. Totally ridiculous. The same procedures could have been performed at home. When did the medical community receive a license to steal. I have also been a patient at dermatology associates but never again. read more

Dr. Rash is very knowledgeable and very thorough. If it weren't for him I may have lost my leg. I was seeing another local Dermatologist and my leg where skin cancer was removed just kept getting worse until I went to him. I've seen him every six months since. Highly recommended! read more

Dr Patrick J Rash needs his medical license took . Will be seeing him in court. He's not good at his job nor knows dermatology. Will be writing reviews on other sites warning patients about him. Also thinking of posting to my 20,000 Instagram followers. went to Dr. Patrick J Rash and in my experience he was the rudest worst doctor I personally have ever been to. If you care about your skin at all in my opinion and true experience I would not visit this "Doctor". He would not answer a question and when he would it would be an answer that was not really even an answer. He ended up prescribing me a steroid cream that I didn't even need as verified by another doctor because he told me I had a rash. I showed the other doctor my area of concern and he told me it wasn't even a rash! He misdiagnosed me and the other doctor told me there was no rash there. I would never recommend him or any of his staff if you have a serious skin problem, I wouldn't even want to imagine. God be with you if you go to this doctor. Then I called to file a complaint against him and he dismissed me as a patient because I called him out on his horrible doctoring! Im warning anyone if you go here do not select him as a doctor! If he misdiagnosed a simple rash who knows what else he could do. The cream he prescribed which I didnt even need in the first place damaged my skin. He said no long term problems if you use medication as prescribed but he never told me how to use the medication as prescribed at all! Its okay though because my lawyer finds this story very interesting! Steer clear of this place at all costs. His poor bedside manner rude personality lack of information to patient is a recipe for disaster for you. His brain is about the size of a rats and his IQ is in the negative. Watched doctors on YouTube who were more helpful. Like I said, my lawyer finds it interesting! Again from my experience avoid this place at all costs! Also read a lot of the other unsatisfied reviews on here besides mine, shows im not the only one unhappy with this place. They also ignored my calls when I was trying to call back with legitimate questions about my health and would never return one. Can't wait to see this dumb a*s in court. He deserves it. read more

Very disappointed with Dermatology Associates. I had a large poison ivy rash which lasted for several weeks and then decided to go here since I had previously been a patient for having moles removed. However, after 4 visits, several different creams and rubs, various skin cultures - nothing except for many many bills and no improvement. It's sad to see patients continually get billed for no progress or solutions. If I were contracted to paint someones house and missed several spots, would I get paid? No, I would go back and fix the problem and be paid only once. Why should someone continue paying when the problem isn't resolved. They are friendly and I would recommend them for simple routine things, but if you have a more advanced issue (though I'm not sure why my poison ivy case was so difficult), then I would suggest you go elsewhere. read more

Horrible support staff. Recently had a family member that had a minor yet uncomfortable procedure. The staff member that was assigned to complete the procedure was quite rude and had no understanding of bedside manner. I would highly suggest avoiding until they counsel their support staff in appropriate behavior towards patients for procedures. The nurse practitioner was very nice and informative but the support staff, at least one individual, leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Recently saw a nurse practitioner (Fig) at the office for a painful red, and swollen rash on my cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. Also complained of gritty feeling in eyes snd blurry vision at times. I was in a high degree of stress over the symptoms i was experiencing. And seeking answers of what to expect with treatment for rosacea. I felt she spoke condescendingly and came across to me as uncaring of the distress i was feeling. She prescribed metronidazole but no oral med to address the ocular symptoms. She did not go over options with me. Prescribed hydrocortisone for 2 weeks but most information I've found say do NOT use hydrocortisone. I left feeling very frustrated and did not get answers to my questions other than her telling me it could progress and get worse but no advice on preventing that from happening. I definitely do not recommend her. If i do return to this office i will only see a doctor. I find most nurse practitioners to be a waste of my time and money unless all i need is a bandaid. I was anxious and wanted to get in ASAP. Im sure there are great nurse practitioners out there but Ive not found one yet. I'll be sticking to the doctors who actually went through medical school from now on. read more

My wife went to Dermatology Associates in Kingsport to have tags removed on June 2,2015. Although she has had them removed in the past, we are new to the area and it was her first experience with Dermatology Associates. They froze the tags instead of cutting them off which cutting off is the method my wife preferred. Discomfort/pain continued until they eventually fell off (about two weeks later). At the end of the June 2nd office visit, being as the tags were causing her severe discomfort she asked the bill to be sent to her insurance. Two weeks later, the insurance declined to cover the bill and we were sent a bill with a statement date of 06/15/2015 with a payment due date of "Upon Receipt", followed by e- mails demanding immediate payment and showing us in RED as being 28 days late. Never in all our years have we experienced such a desperate need of immediate payment and treated like deadbeats. PAID THEM OFF July 09 ( 5 weeks after office visit ) and said good-by to them forever. And good riddance !!! A meat market clearly in it just for the MONEY. read more
