Beware of the Bait and Switch…read more BUYER BEWARE - this is a bonafide, back in the day, BAIT and SWITCH!!!! I never saw anything like the pictures displayed in the Groupon advertisement. No salt on the floor, no soothing deemed lights, nothing attached to the bucket of water for my feet - NOTHING!!!!! You sit in a small cold room, similar to a basic waiting room. You're asked to remove your shoes and socks. A lady comes in and pours water into a bucket and tells you to let her know if the water is warm enough. The water becomes cold really quickly. There's nothing in the water except a sprinkle of maybe tea (???), not sure.  However there is no aromatherapy of any kind.  She then flips a switch and says something should be coming out of the wall, I'm thinking this is the salt, but nothing ever comes out - just an annoying humming sound. So I'm just sitting there in this ice cold room, with my feet in this now ice cold water, just waiting for my Groupon purchase to happened.  At least 40 minutes pass by and she opens the door - doesn't say a word to me - at this point she's giving a couple a tour of the facility.  I'm now waiting for my second portion of my purchase, which was a 30 minute Salt Box Session for One (the first portion of my purchase was a 30 minute Aromatherapy Foot Bath for one). Back to my horrific adventure. About 10 more minutes pass and she walks in and says, "hey, are you staying with us all day?".  I explain that I didn't know what to expect with this particular portion of the purchase, but I'm not at all fond of my feet sitting in cold water.  So I'll make a mental note to not purchase this again. I also notified her that she opened the door, never said a word to me in regards to next steps.  I then ask, nevertheless, are we now going into another room for the Salt Box session? She says this experience was both the foot bath and the Salt Box session combined in one 30 minute session. I say "You must be kidding me.... the Groupon purchase stated "One 30 Minute Aromatherapy Foot Soak and One 30 Minute Salt Box Session for one person". The bottom line, I sat in this cold room, with my feet in this cold water, for 40 minutes, never saw even a speck of salt?  Are you kidding me right now????"... I ask her about the picture in the ad, explaining that's what "I" paid for, she responds, "oh no - that's another room and another cost".  At this point, I just put on my shoes and socks and prepare to leave (remember she never told me next steps).  To add "salt" to my wound, (pun intended) after I put my socks and shoes on and was heading out the door, she attempt's to hand me a 20% off coupon to use towards my next visit.  LADY!!!! I was told I could still use the remaining sessions and just needed to email to schedule appointments. I then emailed multiple times with specific dates and times I was available, including requests for weekday and weekend appointments. Those emails were ignored. After waiting and following up repeatedly, I still couldn't get a simple answer about availability. There was no online booking option, and the only method I was given (email) didn't work because the business stopped responding. At that point, I requested a $100 refund for the unused services. That request was also ignored. What makes this especially frustrating is that I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was trying to use sessions I had already paid for. The business told me I could use them, but then failed to respond when I attempted to schedule. If a business cancels a plan, tells a customer they can still use the remaining services, and then doesn't respond to scheduling requests or refund requests, that's effectively taking a customer's money without providing the service. Poor communication, no accountability, and no resolution. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a package or membership think twice unless they're comfortable chasing the business down to receive services they've already paid for.

Disappointing and Concerning Experience…read more I had a 9:00 a.m. appointment at Your Space Hair Salon yesterday on a Saturday. When I arrived, there were two very kind and welcoming women there, but I was the only client in the salon. I found this somewhat unusual for a Saturday morning. What concerned me most was that the hairstylist/owner I expected to do my hair was not there and never arrived during my appointment. Instead, one of the women present applied my hair color. I went in specifically to have my grays covered and expected an even, professional color result. Unfortunately, after the color was processed and rinsed, I was very disappointed with the outcome. My roots were noticeably lighter than the rest of my hair, leaving my hair color uneven and not what I expected from a professional salon service. I was also concerned because I did not notice any professional cosmetology licenses displayed in the salon. I cannot speak to whether the individuals working there are licensed, but as a customer, I would have appreciated knowing who would be performing my service and their professional qualifications--especially since the stylist I expected was not present. The two women who were there were extremely kind, and I want to make that clear. My concern is with the overall experience, the lack of communication about who would be doing my hair, and the quality of the final result. Based on my experience, I would recommend that potential clients ask in advance who will actually be performing their service and confirm their credentials, particularly for chemical services such as hair coloring. Unfortunately, I left disappointed and uncomfortable with the experience and would not return for another color service. If you go there, please make certain that you very credentials beforehand .
