My friends gifted me a certificate to use at Lola Rosa Head Spa for my birthday. I didn't book my appointment online because I had a few questions so I called. The young lady I spoke with answered all and I had to pay a $50 deposit which you cannot use your gift card in lieu of. She said it will go towards my service like most deposits do. My appt was the same week so I opted with the Greenbelt location since that's the closest to me. GPS took me to the opposite side of the building and I feel like it does that with all the addresses in this professional building area because another lady was asking me where buildings were lol. Luckily there's enough people walking around to guide you. I got to my appt a few mins early and the scent smell inside was amazing, like fresh linen. Light melodic music, just very tranquil like a spa should be. The young lady who opened the door for me showed me where the bathroom and water/tea section was while waiting for my appt to start. I then met Diarra who went over my questionnaire I had to fill out online after my appt. (Heads up, it's very lengthy and they want to know all details about your hair products, skins issues, etc.) She then began the scalp analysis to see if there's any red spots or sores on the scalp which I had none. I was her longest haired client that day so I felt bad she was about to use all her hand power lol. You then change your top half to a robe and lay on the table with shoes off and light weight paper mask on. My experience was magical. I literally shed a few tears on the table within 5 mins of her starting because I was so relaxed from the amount of stress I was\am under. Diarra hands are gifted and I told her this during the service and after. You get a thorough shampoo wash, a steam treatment, a conditioner, a neck and shoulder massage and another head massage. It was phenomenal. I then added on the blow dry as a last minute decision because I didn't want the headache of doing it my own later that evening. That service was an additional $50 because of my length of hair which I got mixed up for $15 when I saw the add-on prices. We talked and laughed during the blow dry and then I got dressed and paid my difference and tip at the tablet. Lola Rosa is a place where I would go to once a month to get this treatment again by Diarra. The only small slight suggestion I would have is to add on a glass of champagne before the service starts lol.

Featuring low light in the waiting area. There is a sign that displays services offered with pricing. When I arrived for my appointment the door was open but I was surprised that no one was there. I waited for about 10 minutes before I heard my masseuse. And knocked on the area she was located. She the came out and provided great service. Upon entering you will see signs to wash your hands and wear your mask. They give you a covering for your face while you're being massaged. The massage room was dim and featured small lights around the room that resembled sitting under the stars. It was delightful. I received the hot stone sports massage #lifechanging Aside from the confusion of why it took so long to be greeted it was a wonderful experience. I'll be back again!

I ALWAYS leave with significantly less stress than when I arrived. I've had the pleasure of having both Heaven and Lakisha as my massage therapist; my mom has had both Lakisha and Leah and has greatly enjoyed both. Recommendation - skip the 60 minute massage, get no less than a 90 minute massage!!!

Sally was extremely accommodating, professional and friendly. When I hadn't showed up 5 minutes into our appointment, she reached out with a very personalized text message to make sure I was not lost. Their studio had moved about two blocks down the street, but I still had the wrong address (completely on me). She made sure I knew how to get to the new location and even which side of the building to park on. Even though we started late, she was still able to perform my full one hour massage. I was extremely relaxed the entire time. The music was gorgeous and had me picturing beautiful nature scenes. I had to fight the urge to fall asleep a few times. I left feeling calm and serene. I felt more limber. The back and hip pain I had before going was gone. I would absolutely go back. If you are looking for a less commercial spa feel and more of a crystals, chakra, warm vibe, this is a great place for you. The parking is ample as well, but is metro accessible too.

Throughout the massage, Sarah would check in with me to ensure that everything was to my liking. To summarize, this place "Shined" despite the rainy weather... Sorry, I kind of had to do the pun.

Now The Spa at the Hotel has come to conquer the Luxury Spa experience in College Park. Vibe: I LOVE IT! Upscale, Intimate, and the amenities are perfect! Quality: Luxury hidden in College Park! I booked a Swedish Massage to start my bday week. They gave me a discount and a little gift, that was super sweet! So unexpected. Tyesha was fantastic. The hot stones put an extra touch on my visit. I definitely give this place 5 stars! Will be coming back more often. Parking is free up to 12 hours, you can use the amenities of the Hotel; pool, gym, and you can use the relaxation area in the Spa. You could totally be here for 8 hours. My suggestion to get the most out of this experience is book early! They also have a salon! Loved to see stylist of all races! Love it! Since this is just up Rhode Island, it's quick in and out the city! Thank YOU to the girls for being amazing! Xoxo

I came at…read morelike 9:57 am for my 10am appointment (I don't love to wait in the relaxation rooms--I prefer to get taken straight back to my service). They show me around, very sweet front desk woman---and I get changed. I go to the relaxation room to get picked up for my service and I am just waiting. 10:10 am rolls around, 10:15. Eventually the woman comes back and she says "I'm sorry but the masseuse is not coming in today and there is only one person scheduled per day because summer is slow" ?????? I was just sitting there kind of dumbfounded because we didn't know she wasn't showing up before 15 minutes into my service? Mind you, I took off work to come to this so I'm not getting paid and know it's getting cancelled. So she's looking to reschedule me, and I'm like "ok well can I talk to a manager about a discount because this is kind of crazy" and she's like "yea idk maybe they can call you tomorrow". Eventually she comes back and she's like "oh one of the other ladies will come in but not till 11" so I'm like ok...and I asked for snack (bc I was planning on eating after but now it's pushed back an hour). She brings a bar and champagne which was nice, and I sit for 45 minutes waiting for the next lady. I get called back and she's asking how much pressure, I say light pressure and she's like "ok bc deep pressure we will charge you extra!" After I waited 45 minutes for an inconvenience...ok! So, I get on the table, the room is FREEZING like had to ask her to turn it up, she does --it's manageable now but still cold and she gets to work but her hands are absolute ice which took away from the service. Then, she absolutely digs into each and every muscle after i said light pressure--so I ask to lighten it up nicely and she's very nice and tries but it didn't go well. I, then, get into the shower to rinse off and I put the water all the way to hot bc I'm cold from the room---it's all the way on hot and the water is cool at best. I'm in there like shivering. I don't know what's going on today but I would implore people to find somewhere else. The employees are very sweet and kind but everything else just made it a subpar experience and for $250+ a service, things like this just should not occur in my opinion.
