However: The place, in general, needs a sprucing up. The lobby/shop and bathroom all could use a good clean and maybe a paint job, and there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom, which kind of killed the vibe post-salt cave experience. We live in a city though and these things happen -- but a more dedicated focus to overall details of the space would make the experience even better.

My only ick ** is the convos in the lobby can echo , and I hope they can work on that, or I'll bring my noise canceling headphones. Also they are a few feet away from Bethesda metro station. I recommend taking metro instead of hunting for parking.

Inside the salt sanctuary, the coolness was soothing, and I immediately sensed the healing power of the salts. The tingling in my nose from allergies vanished, and the tension from my anxiety eased remarkably. Sitting quietly and taking deep breaths felt like a weight was lifting from my shoulders, providing a moment of relief and comfort. I was struck by how salt was everywhere--even on the floor beneath my feet, grounding me in the present. It was truly a moment of clarity and awakening. My racing thoughts settled, and a deep sense of peace filled me. This is an experience beyond words; it's something you need to feel for yourself to really understand and appreciate.

The location is about an hour from us, but it was easy to find, on the backside of the shopping center. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly lady at the front desk. Since it was our first time, we were advised to arrive early. She explained that we would be called back in waves, and we were given foot covers, a locker, and earplugs (if we wanted them). The room had calming music playing, and we took a seat. At 11, the lady came in to let us know that a mist would start, which might cause a slight tickle in our throats. Once the session began, we couldn't leave the room. The experience was relaxing-- I spent most of the time with my eyes closed, and a few times, my husband even dozed off. The time seemed to pass slowly, and when the session ended, the lady returned and let us out. I didn't notice any dramatic changes afterward, but I wasn't expecting to feel much after just one session. While I didn't see or feel any salt residue on myself, I did get a bit of white residue on my fingers after touching the wall on the way out. My husband felt that the experience wasn't particularly worthwhile. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I can't say it was amazing either-- I think it could be more beneficial if done multiple times. The staff was kind and professional, and the atmosphere was definitely relaxing. One note: the chairs have a weight limit of 275 lbs. Their email mentioned that they can accommodate guests discreetly, but given the small size of the room, I'm not sure how discreet that would be.

I think that's easier than trying to book multiple services online. Anyway, I went alone Wednesday as a pre-birthday celebration. It was so relaxing. I came early to enjoy tea and rub my feet on the salt domes in the waiting area. There are skincare products and even jewelry that you can look at if you wish. Red light therapy 7/10: The worker was very clear with her instructions. It was a nice 20 minutes away from my phone. Chairs weren't too comfy in this booth. I had some time to sit down with my feet on the salt domes again, drinking my tea. Maaan, I would give the salt domes a 10/10 just by themselves. I tend to have cold feet so they made my feet feel LOVELY, especially with this cold weather. Zen bed 8/10: super relaxing, warm bed. Ocean sounds. Heated & weighted eyemask. I almost fell asleep. Coconut scalp massage + 30 minute custom massage 8/10: My masseuse was soft spoken and listened when I asked for a little more pressure. She even recommend that I try a deep tissue massage next time. She did a great job focusing on my neck which is what I asked for. Again, the bed was warmed. The room's lighting was very aesthetic. Really set the mood.

The salt room was super relaxing and the ambiance is super cool and unique. Detox patches for your feet, special H2O, and heated eye masks help you relax even more! My hubby feel asleep in minutes and was snoring!! We did the massage chairs as well. Super better than a masseuse. Actually, we had a thai massage that morning which was wonderful, but the chairs are definitely better. It is heated and massages everything from your head, fingers, tushie, and toes! I'm 5'1 and weigh under 100 lbs, the chair worked fine on me. I was worried, but it adjusted once it was turned on. It even stretches your legs out. Insane!!! The supervisor and manager are both extremely knowledgeable and super friendly! They are a new business and are offering specials on Groupon. Call them before you buy on Groupon as they are offering specials directly as well which may be a better deal. My hubby and I are now hooked and will be going at least once a month. The benefits of the salt room are phenomenal. My hubby has sinus and allergy issues. I have eczema, so we get great health benefits from the treatments. The relaxation is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend you give it a try. You will feel the difference in your breathing later that day. I plan on taking some girlfriends for a nice day of relaxation. The facility is lovely, wonderful ambiance. I went to a room that is for couples. I was disappointed that the massage was nothing like I've had before at other massage places. The man sat in a stool and applied a lot of oil, would slide his hands up and down my skin. Like a petting motion. The entire massage was like that. I didn't feel any different after the massage and found myself quite disappointed. I got an email from Origins reminding me to leave a review. I responded asking to speak to someone about my experience and after a week, no response. I proceeded to email the email address on the website and gave my feedback. No response after 3 weeks I didn't feel like that was a deep tissue massage. The gentleman was sitting on a chair for 90% of the massage. Maybe he had a long day already.

I…read morehave heard a lot of good things about the Pearl Spa and I am glad that I finally got a chance to come here. My girlfriend had a 90 min Healing Waters session booked for this past Saturday morning and asked if I would like to join her. I am so glad that I did and I really needed this self care day. So what the Healing Waters entails are six water therapies that relieve pain, reduce stress, and restore the body, mind + soul through a series of thoughtfully curated water therapies. and you can add a session in the crystal salt room and enhance your immune system, purge toxins, and soothe and repair skin concerns. Right now the healing waters for 90 mins is going for $50 and if you want to get the robe an slippers it is an additional $10. You can also bring your own robe and pool slides if you like. My favorites out the session were the relaxing hot tub, cold plunge and the steam room. The steam room really pulls out the toxins in your body. They have really nice locker room area is really nice they have secure lockers for your belongings, a sauna and nice showers. Their wellness lounge offers clients time to relax before or after spa services or mindful movement classes. A wonderful place to share a cup of our signature tea with friends. Within the spa, a serene quiet lounge is available for use for those who prefer to relax in solitude. And if the spa is not your thing, they do offer mindful movement classes that are centered around self-care and are offered in a supportive group environment. Traditional yoga, barre, cardio and mediation sessions are available 7 days a week. I am really big on self care and centering my mind and body and The Pearl Spa gets it right. I highly recommend this place to just try just once. I will say Saturdays are really busy, so if you are looking for more quieter days, I would go during the week. The next time I will go will probably be a Tuesday SYOY

Recommend booking yours at least 3 weeks in advance). It's a small business (yay!) with a larger chain feel as in there are plenty of body products you can browse and buy up front in the lobby area which is nice. the receptionist was polite. Got a quick little tour and was escorted to the locker room, you get a card with your locker number and code on it, they have showers too, very convenient. Then waited in the wellness area for the massage therapist to come get me. Afterwards was escorted to their small quiet lounge, brought my choice of tea (they had cucumber water and 2 tea options, I opted for the white ginger tea which was great). Very relaxing atmosphere in the quiet lounge. Enjoyed my massage, Luke was great and very professional (he asked about avoidance areas, focus areas etc the usual). I asked for some reflexology which he accommodated. Foot massage was great. Body felt so relaxed the rest of the day. I've been to several different luxury spas and this is deff my new fave local spot. LOVED the massage room ambience- spacious, nice aesthetic that's almost salt cave like yet still modern, and loved that they have a robe warmer you can use if you wish! After your massage you can stay and hangout in the lounge or sauna as long as you wish. Sauna was pretty hot, around 170F if I recall. Definitely makes you feel pampered. They also give you a complimentary brownie when you check out. Highly recommend coming here for a massage! They also have their healing water pool you can pay separately for time in. Parking: drive down a little road ramp to find it, it's to the side of WholeFoods. Plenty of free parking in the garage directly out front of the spa.

There's a $30 entry fee, which gives you access to lockers, a uniform, two small hand towels, three saunas, and a relaxing lounge area. (The steam room was unfortunately down when I visited.) They also have a café and offer additional services like different types of massages for an extra fee. The bathhouses are located inside each gender-specific locker room, and you must be unclothed to use them. One of the massages (only $100) actually takes place in the bathhouse, but I wasn't able to book it because they were fully booked until 7:00 p.m. The saunas were nice, but my top three highlights were: The food! I ordered kimbap and kimchi pancakes, and both were excellent. The kimbap came with a side of miso soup that was sooo delicious! The relaxation area. Staff walk around offering hot blankets to wrap up in. I was so relaxed that I almost missed my foot massage! The foot massage. It was everything and more, and the massage therapist was hilarious! A couple of things I didn't love: they initially assigned me a very high locker (thankfully my tall cousin switched with me ), and we weren't given an overview of the layout when we arrived. Even though the place is small, a quick explanation would've been helpful. Also, I was disappointed the steam room wasn't working. Overall, this is a great spot with amazing food and relaxing vibes.
