Once the session finally began, she blasted Cardi B so loud the entire time that it completely ruined any chance of relaxing. I could barely hear myself think, let alone unwind. The massage itself was mediocre at best -- rushed, inconsistent pressure, and zero attention to what I actually needed. Felt like she was just going through the motions while the music blasted. Between the flakiness, the loud music, and the underwhelming service, I won't be back. There are way better spas that actually respect your time and create a peaceful environment. Avoid. read more

Was excited for my 30min heated stone massage but was left disappointed. They started 15min late because they seemed busy (I arrived 15min early) but ended only 4min late so it was a 20min massage. The music they had on the background kept being interrupted with ads, and my massager's phone kept ringing with her text messages. About two moths ago, they had a "promotion" email sent out selling "Buy one and get another free at same price purchased!" I bought a $200 and expected to get the offer. Well, I have been trying to get in touch with the spa since October and only crickets! I then get a ROBO email that they have moved to a new location with the same promotional scam! I called several times, no response! So, I decided to drive to the new location. First of all, the name of the previous business that was in the advertised suite is still on the building, the door was locked, and when I looked through glass door, all I saw was a space in complete disarray!! No sign of any activity, no marking on the door, no answer to phone calls! I did not stop there! I think my therapist napped through my appointment? I've been coming here for a few years. I used to come monthly and see Dia, and she was amazing. Later, I purchased 5 90-minute deep tissue massages, and I just tried to have my last one in the package. It took many weeks to get it booked, but Kari and I were able to make a date and time fit in the schedule a week in advance. I don't know who my therapist would have been today. Well, I take off work early, drive a half hour, and wait in the waiting room. Fifteen minutes after my appointment time, I notice that I hear snoring... I text Kari to confirm (this is how I originally booked)... no response A few minutes later I politely tell her I'm in the waiting room and I think someone is asleep (hoping this isn't my massage therapist)... no response After 30 minutes of waiting past my appointment time, I finally leave and let her know via text... no response Really disappointing. What should have been 90 minutes of relaxation time turned into 90 minutes of commuting at rush hour and waiting in a lobby listening to someone nap. No, I was not going to wake them up. Gotta be honest--what a disappointing experience this was. My girlfriend and I came for Mother's Day to celebrate her, paid $330 for a couples massage and sauna. The sauna was probably the best part of the experience but even still it wasn't pre warmed before we got in it, so it heated up as we sat in it--not a big deal but come on. Then after we waited 20 minutes, face down in the beds before we taken care of which was frustrating because we had other plans that we had to get too after. But what made the experience worse was the fact that the massage was TERRIBLE. It was like non of the lady's knew what they were doing. A lot of running in and out of the room to get things, asking questions that were already answered on paper--like what areas we wanted to have focused on more. And it quite literally just felt like they were just rubbing oil all over us. They used so much oil and no added pressure was used in the massage. We both asked them to be firm several times and nothing changed. My 3 year old could've massaged us better--no joke. It felt super lazy and I was really disappointed for the money that I paid. So they made us have to rush for the late timing, they massage was literally just an oil rub, and it was expensive. I will say, the lady's massaging us were really cool and super sweet and the staff was friendly and family oriented but there was a lack of professionalism amongst all of them and it really felt like the lady's giving the massage had no clue what they were doing. Absolutely Horrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs! I booked a "girls' getaway" massage/facial package for my wife and her friends, calling ahead with specific requests. I wanted three services in the same room, and since I wasn't sure of my wife's friends' preferences, I left a card on file for them to choose their own massage and facial types upon arrival. The receptionist confirmed this was fine, saying they'd book Swedish massages initially and adjust/charge accordingly. The experience was a DISASTER from start to finish. First, the appointment started a FULL HOUR LATE with no prior notification! I'm reasonable and understand minor delays, but a full hour is OUTRAGEOUS. The excuse given was that a previous customer arrived late. This is UNACCEPTABLE. It suggests either double-booking or trying to squeeze in extra appointments, disregarding my on-time reservation. How can you logically reserve a room for a two-hour service starting at 5:45 pm and then book a 90-minute service at 5:00 pm in the same room? This pushed our appointment back an entire hour. Second, and even more disturbing, the estheticians appeared to reuse facial extraction tools. After one began a facial on my wife's friend, another asked for a tool. The first esthetician whispered, "I just finished using it and there are no more!" Instead of leaving the room to retrieve fresh, sanitized tools, which is the standard practice one would expect, the estheticians proceeded to use the same tool on everyone. This strongly suggests the tool was reused without proper sanitization, which is UNSANITARY and completely UNACCEPTABLE. Third, the sanitization process is QUESTIONABLE. My wife saw an esthetician cleaning tools in the customer bathroom after the services. This is not a proper or hygienic way to sanitize equipment. The Spa is situated in a little business offices park across from the Costco and behind the Royal Farms. Decoration is very on-theme with the beach scene. Facilities looked clean. There was quite a misunderstanding when we showed up for our appointment. Apparently the aestheticians that were supposed to come in, had to leave without warning. So we were told to come back in an hour. Whatever the reason, it actually worked out for me and my friend as we were comped very well. I had booked a facial for both of us, but we were able to experience the foot scrub and the sauna for 30 minutes. The dry sauna is located in the corner of the room that we were being treat. It was great, though it could've been a little hotter. Still got a good sweat though. The facial was relaxing. From what I peeked, they use Dermologica as their main product. The surprising and best part of the whole experience was the Foot Scrub. We were treated with a scrub at the same time as the facial. After the exfoliation process, we were given a foot massage which was one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back for another treatment. read more

I went to this spa for the first time today and received their signature facial. I enjoyed the experience, and liked how my skin was after. The only thing I had a problem with was that they had either run out of sunscreen, or didn't have any on hand that would work with my skin type. My facial was at 10 in the morning, and ended right before lunch at 1100 on a sunny day. I had a yoga session at noon, and had to rush home to put sunscreen on in between. Have sunscreen on hand if you're coming in for a facial during the day! I'll be back next weekend to check out their massage services. Worst massage experience ever. I am actually taking them to court. I had called to see if they could do 3 massages at the same time. We were in the middle of a move. Unfortunately so were they. After moving things all day long, we arrive to them stressfully unpacking and moving furniture in their tiny, cheesy little space. It was so triggering, that my son had to wait in the car, as there was not any areas that were suitable to sit and wait for our massage. Instead of massaging all 3 of us at once, they had me wait for one person in my party to get done. That is not what I paid for. That is also not what I had confirmation for. I also paid for the upgraded back scrub, and did not recieve it. So I paid for 3 massages, 3 back scrubs. I only received 2 massages, and 0 back scrubs. And do you think I got a refund. NOPE! My husband and I came here for a couples massage. We paid around $220 for an appointment at 1pm. We received notice from Kari at The Beach House Spa requesting for us to come in at 12pm instead of 1pm. She also stated that they could not do the massages any later than 12:30pm due to other client bookings. This was our date day, so we originally scheduled our babysitter to arrive at our house at 12pm, but we rescheduled her to arrive at 11:30 am to accommodate the new Appt at 12 pm. We arrived at 12 pm and we didn't even see a person until 12:30 pm. Then we didn't even begin our massages until 1PM. The massages ended at 1:50 pm. We spent 2 hours in the spa for a 1 hour massage. So, we lost 1 hour of our 2.5 hour date. They did offer us wine and apologized. It seemed that they didn't even know what our appointment time. We could hear the employees discussing who was going to do our massages and what their shifts were. They ended up adding on a back facial for me and a foot treatment for my husband, as well as a $50 gift certificate for our next visit. I saw this place via Facebook recommendation and decided to try it since my husband was also have severe shoulder back pain. We booked a couples massage with the back and foot upgrades and it was INCREDIBLE. This is also the first place when I say "use medium pressure" that they actually used medium pressure, and I told them I had a new tattoo and they made sure to avoid it. They also asked me a few times to make sure the pressure was okay or that I was comfortable, and offered refreshments before and after. You will need to pay for the service at the time of scheduling the appointment. Upon arriving for the appointment, I got a bit confused on where to find the spa cause the street number is displayed on the front and back of the building. Once arrived, I was asked to complete a form and indicate areas of focus if we'd like. The room was very warm, calm, and smelled good. The massage was relaxing. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of money. Buyer beware! Do not spend extra money on their exfoliation "specials". I ended up buying a Groupon for a 60 minute deep tissue massage with aromatherapy and heated towels. It turned out to be the biggest rip off I have experienced at a "spa". Where do I even begin... I called to schedule my appointment and they were able to take me the next day. In hindsight, that was probably was the first sign that something was off. There were multiple openings for the very next day. There are other spas in the area that are booked out by months. I didn't think much of it at the time, but there is probably a reason why they have such open availability. I arrived about 10 minutes early and filled out their questionnaire. The place seemed nice enough. I ended up parking on the wrong side of the building and had to walk around - the GPS didn't take me to the correct location, but no big deal. Chyna, my masseuse, lead me to the back room where I set my stuff and prepared for my massage. The place was decorated in a beach theme, which was neat. Once she led me back, Chyna said, and I quote "we will begin with you face down". That implies to me that at some point during the experience I was going to turn over. Like every other massage I have ever had. It turned out, that never happened, but I will come back to that. My massage started around 4:50 to 4:55pm. She had me take 3 deep breaths to start. This was the "aromatherapy" part, I guess. As mentioned, this was supposed to be a 60 minute deep tissue massage. Chyna started off real strong, massaging my back and neck. It actually was quite good, but after about 10 minutes, I don't know what happened. It felt more like she was just rubbing my skin than giving me a massage from there on out. Honestly, that didn't bother me as much as the next part. When I made the appointment, I was told that they were running two "specials" until the end of the month. For $25 each, they had a foot exfoliation/peel deal and a back exfoliation. Both would take about 10 minutes. What that meant to me was: I have a 60 minute massage plus 2 10 minute add ons. So I said sure, why not. I just got back from a vacation where my feet are still throbbing from the amount of walking I did. After Chyna was done with the short massage portion, she started exfoliating my back. All in all, it was a fine experience. It was just a simple product that she rubbed over my back and cleaned off with hot towels. She then moved on to massage my arms and legs where, once again, it just felt like she was rubbing my skin. No muscles, let alone deep tissue, was even close to being massaged. She ended with my feet where she used the same exfoliating substance and some additional oils. I was longing for a foot massage. They are still hurting from walking a ton this past weekend but, once again, she just rubbed the surface of my feet. Once the foot portion was done, she got up, told me it was over and had me get dressed. No flipping over? No front of my legs or arms massage? What time even was it? I got up and checked the time: 5:40pm. My massage was maybe 50 minutes long when I anticipated, and paid for, 80. So not only did I not get a deep tissue massage, or a complete 60 minutes, but I paid $50 additional for something that "took away" from my already paid for service. You're kidding me, right? Oh, and so much for a foot peel as advertised. There was no such thing. Oh yeah, and the nice music they play during massages to help you relax? It played for about 20 minutes and then just stopped. So the last half of my experience, I laid there listening to others rustle in the building and cars zooming by outside. Not the most relaxing sounds. It was just the icing on the cake. I also just saw another review on here that mentioned something along the lines of an exfoliation "deal". They had the same experience as me! Apparently it is a complete scam that they have been running for at least 5 months. I wonder what other poor souls were fooled by this. All I can hope is that other people will read this review and not get fooled by the same trickery as me and my past yelpers experienced. I really wanted to give this place one star, but Chyna did at least some work. The only reason I gave two stars was because it started off with such high potential but it got to the point that I was laying there thinking "when is this going to be over". Needless to say, I will not be coming back here. I don't even know why, but I paid 20% tip on the non discounted amount...I didn't even get my full amount of time and the add on services were a complete rip off. This place was amazing inside! It really reminds you of being at the beach. My massage was amazing and it was my first time trying a dry sauna and it was ok. I didn't like that there was not a shower to rinse off but to my surprise my masseuse actually got a clean towel and wiped off my back before she started. It was weird having someone clean me off but also relieving. I think it was bad timing on the day of my massage because my masseuse hey got a flat tire. So when I arrived, there no one was there and the door was locked. I contacted the young lady I made the appointment with and she informed me of what happened and that she was a few minutes away. She quickly arrived apologetically and unlocked the door so I could get started with my paperwork. Before I had finished a masseuse had arrived. I was exhausted one day at work and decided to leave early. I got home, and decided that a massage would be the perfect remedy to my crappy day. I happened to find the Beach House Spa and luckily, they were able to accommodate me for a couples massage the same day! The spa itself is very cute and adorned with shells and other beach ornaments. Kari and Shawni were very sweet and offered us glasses of moscato to relax before our massage. The warm oils and hot towels felt amazing, as they rubbed us down from head to toe. My favorite parts of the massage: - the orange scent towards the end was divine - the scalp massage (next time, I'll ask for more of this) I will definitely be back soon! read more

Our treatment began with a relaxing sauna session. We sweat and detoxed from every skin pore. I am really interested in investing in a sauna in my home. I had a great massage at the beach house spa with Shawni. This is only me second professional massage and I had a perfect experience. I found a great deal online from Groupon and decided to try it. 60min hot stone massage, aromatherapy, scalp therapy, and sauna. Best massage deal near my house (5 miles). The next day I called and left a message. A moment later I got a call back and a woman scheduled me for the next day. Massage day arrives and as Im getting read and excited, I get a call. Tragically the power went out on the whole block and the sauna is off. They offer to extend my massage, give me a voucher to return just for the sauna, or go another time. I decide to take the longer massage (score) I did want to try the sauna. But for a great sauna experience I can just go to spa world ( there are 12 poultice room) and giant jet pool, great exfoliation, (they are not great for massages tho, in my opinion at spa world) So I happily skip the sauna and arrive. They are making due with limited power and I wait for my appt. The spa is very nicely decorated with sea shells and beach decor. It is very nice. Small cute and cozy. When they are ready I am told to undress to my liking. Shawni tells me most people leave on just there underwear. Which makes me more comfortable. I noted my neck is sore and she said she will concentrate on that. After beginning I realize just how tense and stiff my neck is. I can't explain how nice the hot stones and oil massage felt. It was incredible. I was reminded softly many times to relax (as I was told last time at spa world). Maybe Im not good at relaxing. I tried my best. I never felt uncomfortable. I just not good at becoming loosey goosey. The pressure was just right. I quickly realized I need to come back because my neck and shoulder is just so much more tense and stressed then I knew. I wondered how much time had passed. I was happy with how long the massage lasted. It was great, my skin feels so smooth, the stones felt like extension of her hands and she was super nice. The heat was perfect and I really really loved the massage. Only 20 mins in I was like yessss I will be back. (this is very unlike for me, I almost never get my nails done, hair done, or any other cosmetic female treatment. I feel like it is a waste of money. But this is wayyy different. Massages are amazing. When I was leaving. I was offered to purchase voucher, good for a year. I was super happy to do that. (what a awesome deal). I tipped Shawni 20 percent on the retail price. First time here, booked an impromptu couples massage due to some lower back pain that came on over the weekend. We were immediately greeted and offered drinks upon arrival. I felt that our time was valued and that our comfort was important. This was my husband's first professional massage and he said it that it was a good experience and that knots he didn't even know were there were worked out.
