We were so excited to try the spinoff of Santinos. Be warned there is a very limited menu mostly of flatbread pizzas. For three people we got two of the pizzas and had almost 3/4 of one left. We tried the Bianca and the Pizza Il Fico. We enjoyed both of them because they were so different. The Bianca was a very simple cheese but they use some of the best tasting cheese which makes it extra tasty. The Il Fico is a unique blend of salty, sweet and crunch with the arugula which we really loved. Let's just call this place a cocktail bar. We didn't go for any of their signature drinks but in hindsight should have done that because regular drinks were almost the same price as their signature drinks so next time I'll get the Tiramisu drink. The best is the decor which similar to Santinos has the retro 50/60s vibe with many gangster touches. The stained glass was a gift to the bar from a family member of Frank Balistreri plus a picture of Al Capone. The red lighting creates an intimate vibe but you might need a flashlight to read your menu of you're old like me lol. It's a very small place and I'm anticipating it will get crazy busy. Seating is limited to 40 max so reservations are in order. The only thing I didn't get about the bar were the gaming machines which just didn't fit. I love a great machine but I didn't think that and the pull tab machine fit. They are working on an outside area that looks super chill. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Service was slightly slow but it's the first week so I'm sure they will dial this in soon. The sign on the door recommends upscale dress but we were in jeans and they didn't mind. I can see this as a great date place to get dressed up in a very romantic and intimate atmosphere.

What a great addition to Bayview! Taking an old classic that had lost its appeal and sprucing it up! A great selection of wines, smaller list but you can tell they took the time to curate a great wine list. I appreciate the tradition of a small Italian wine glass. Service is great from the greeting at the door to feeling like family when you're there. Can't wait for any special happy hours or special events at this great new location!

Went opening day and while they are still working out the minor details, the service and drinks were spot on! Would recommend the tiramisu ice cream drink! Large list of martinis, cocktails, wine, beer, and small bites. You can tell lots of details went into the design of the interior and soon to be outside patio. This place has the Bay View charm and a great addition to the neighborhood!

Calogero's is such a fantastic extension to Santino's Little Italy down the block! The atmosphere is intimate and familial. Staff is attentive and thorough. So many drinks on the menu to choose from means plenty of reasons to be back along with the tasty flatbread selection.

My girlfriend and I decided to stop in here before our dinner reservation to grab a drink and we were impressed with basically everything. The variety of drinks from martinis, specialty cocktails, spritz's, and more. Our bartender was very courteous, pleasant, and quick and I wished we could've stayed for more than one drink! We loved the Italian vibe of the place and will definitely be coming again.

We stopped in for cocktails on Saturday evening and had a great time! The space is so cute, I love how they decorated. It is very cozy and would make for a great date spot. While they were very busy, all the servers were so kind and accommodating. We had other dinner plans so just ordered drinks and we all loved our cocktails. The food looked and smelled amazing, so I will definitely be back to try that next!

Calogero's, as all of Milwaukee seems to know, is the Italian-style bar run by the good folks at Santino's Restaurant. Calogero's has an amazing publicist, because not only is everyone talking about the bar, but the place was packed on a Wednesday night. My spouse and I were fortunate to find two seats at the bar. Much of the staff from Santino's was brought over, and they are trained well. Professional and helpful, they will ensure your evening goes smoothly. The decor echoes Santino's, creating a dark, sultry effect that emulates the La Dolce Vita of 1950s and 1960s Rome. It's a wonderful attempt, but after spending much time in Rome, I was fully aware this was Milwaukee. However, Calogero's is cool for the Cream City. What I particularly enjoyed was the amazing selection of Amaro. It's a favorite apertif of mine, and I tried three of them on Calogero's menu. They were all delicious, especially the Bitter Truth EXR. Appetizers are served as well. Calogero's is a hip bar that adds a touch of sophistication to Bay View's burgeoning scene.

I had heard about the Tin Widow's holiday pop up being one of the best area, the hype was not wrong. From the entrance to the ceiling and walks, this place is the definition of deck the halls. Unless you get here right when they open it early in the holiday season, I would expect a crowd. The drink menu is so fun with holiday themed drinks served in matching glassware. You can even purchase the glass/mug for an additional fee. A lot of the cocktails looked to be batched cocktails which help with the bartender's efficiency. Highly recommend making this place a holiday stop. I'm also curious to stop in after the holidays to experience it without all the holiday decor.

They had several seasonal cocktails in special festive cups, which you could also buy to take home. I got the Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus, which was good, but pricey for what it was. Almost all the seasonal drinks were $15 each and didn't seem too big. The venue itself is medium sized, but feels crammed quickly. There's more people let in at a time than there is seating, so you have to move fast to get a seat. I'll likely come back during the summer to try something else.

Wow! This may be the best cocktail bar in the city. It is a full vibe that must be experienced…read more Craft cocktails in a charming, warm, inviting space similar to a Victorian era home back in the 1900s. Service is impeccable. They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

Liked the vibe - reminds me of shakers cigar bar but without all the smoke (like, a bit spooky,…read moreold, maybe haunted but also very cool). We stopped here after dinner, so we stuck mostly with the cocktails. Unfortunately, nothing on the seasonal menu really stuck out to me. I stuck with the "traditional" cocktails (spicy watermelon bubblegum, and then banana daiquiri). Hubs went for the halo halo food (which was so cute! All the typical ingredients but served in cubist fashion), and the paired drink. The paired drink was supposed to have different layers of flavor, but they all mixed together quite a bit. Tasty, just not the "layered" experience we thought. I think they almost do themselves a disservice comparing themselves to the aviary - that is a crazy high bar to meet. Granted, maybe we would have been more impressed if we had more of the seasonal cocktails despite them not seeming interesting? Probably wouldnt go out of my way to go here again, but it is a cool vibe and the cocktails were good.
