They also provided me and my mother's husband support and had more than 2 nurses help my mom. My mom opted out of being on hospice and she went to the hospital for care. I am unsure what the future holds for my mom, but if hospice is needed in the future I would not hesitate to contact Silverado for my family's needs. Thank you.

Consumer beware. When an order is written that medication is to be used P.R.N. (per request…read moreneeded)..it is per their need. They fail to telephone the family and notify them that things are out of control and do you want a particular medication listed or in their emergency kit for your loved one. They make the decision and it is not a good decision! They use standardized high does of strong medication such as morphine, haldol and Seroquel to control your loved one when better options are available. You know that their intent is to never have your love one walk again but use MEDICATION RESTRAINT to keep them medicated when they don't send a wheelchair for them to sit up in. They have nurses who one assessed your loved one and comes up with different approach than another nurse. You should state you want to be called prior to any sedating medication is prescribed. Calls should never be made after adminerstating medication. CLEARLY STATE you want a call before they administer PRN medication. Otherwise they will kill your loved one faster than it should occur.

I would avoid Apreva Hospice. My experience with them was extremely disappointing and added…read moresignificant stress during an already difficult time. Rather than providing comfort and support, I found their care to be poorly coordinated, inadequately individualized, and at times clinically inappropriate. My sister had a complex medical history that included recurrent syncopal (fainting) episodes. Unfortunately, hospice staff repeatedly interpreted these episodes as signs that she was actively dying or "transitioning" without adequately reviewing her medical history or understanding her underlying condition. After one such episode, I received a call from a hospice representative through an out-of-state call center recommending that morphine be started immediately. There was no apparent clinical indication for morphine at that time, and the caller was unable to explain the rationale for the recommendation or answer basic questions. This was both unsettling and concerning. On another occasion, a hospice nurse recommended oral antibiotics for a suspected aspiration-related infection. At the time, my sister was unresponsive and not eating or drinking, making oral administration impractical. Concerned about the recommendation, I had her evaluated in the Emergency Department. No infection was found, no antibiotics were indicated, and her symptoms were ultimately attributed to another syncopal episode from which she later recovered. I was also told that all of my sister's oral medications should be discontinued, despite the fact that she was still taking medications orally and there was no clear clinical reason to stop them. This recommendation created unnecessary anxiety and confusion. The hospice chaplain's conduct was also unprofessional. Facility staff ultimately asked him not to return after he put his feet on a table and requested flowers that were being used for a resident activity. Several nurses at the care facility privately expressed concerns about the quality of hospice care they were observing and recommended that I consider changing hospice providers. By that point, my sister's condition had become increasingly unstable, and I felt that changing providers would only add more stress. She passed away later that week. What was perhaps most disappointing was the lack of follow-up after her death. Her primary hospice nurse never contacted me to offer condolences, answer questions, or provide support. As an advanced practice healthcare provider, I recognized a number of concerning issues that may not be apparent to families without medical training. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hospice organization.

Nurses: Megan, Emily, Michael, and Chaplain Rob, Social Worker Barbara, and NA Joana are my earthly angels. They have been available on a moment's notice, and they have carried me on their shoulders keeping me going when I didn't know what I was doing, if I could even do it, and when I was ready to quit because I felt like I was failing. With the utmost compassion and professionalism, they tailored Mom's care to her witty, funny, joking, and often times stubborn personality. Ruth M. (Anne), my aunt, as well as another aunt and an uncle had arrived the previous day. When the nurse and NA arrived together, there were already several people in the room. My mother, who just recently lost a good deal of cognitive function and was near the end of her life, woke up and was startled asking, "What's happening?" Confusion ensued with people talking to her and others asking the Ardent staff questions at the same time. And, then, of course, Mom didn't want any body to touch her. Ruth M. (Anne)'s review was based on ONLY this one visit, not on Ardent's long time devotion to the care for my mother and support to me, the primary caregiver. When my mom passed, yesterday, Michael was very comforting. He also made all the necessary phone calls and completed the final paperwork. I and my mom will be eternally grateful for Ardent.

I also would like to give special recognition to Shawn, Azure, Joanna, Kimberly , Nancy and Marie! They all were amazing! Every single experience with all of the Radiant Hospice team was compassionate and with dignity and respect for my Mom and the family. Any needs we had were met promptly and it made my mother's end of life experience so comfortable. Thank you for going above and beyond to help us through this difficult journey. Unfortunately, we have had to have hospice for three of our parents and this Hospice by far met our needs and our parents needs above and beyond !

Spoke with "Brenda" re concerns of releasing Medicare, ID info BEFORE in home nurse assessment…read more Brenda promised to provide copy of confidential HIPPA info she had access to due to consen, info I have but was NOT true to her word. Brenda failed to provide info she promised, then failed to take my call to discuss. Spent 3 hours with admission Adriana Piccianni nurse providing histor, records, met paren nearing death But she then said I was required to sign forms with missing info, vague consent authorizing release of ANY,ALL records to which I voiced concern. We all should know what info is being released and to whom and verify accuracy, etc.. Insisted all forms be signed stating it is a Medicare requirement. Offered to amend form to specify but nurse thought this was illegal or against company policy. I chose them as I was assured they were flexible in usual rules and could deal with my concerns. Admission was refused then leaving parent in need of pain meds. Told Dr would be out tonight or tomorrow to assess so record release not required only to learn no Dr available until Tuesday.Yet ad says available 24 hours per day. Called after hours nurse Kimberly requesting to speak to Brenda or medical director doctor or on call but she refused,was dismissive, had no interest in the clinical harmful effects on parent needing pain/comfort help, the hardship and time loss today and leaving a patient in need of hospice. Armando the "case manager navigator was the best person trying to help, showin he did care. Awaiting call back from higher authority to resolve failed representations and promised admission today. Uncertainty present now with much mistrust of this hospice provider. I would not waste my time had I known what I now know. Difficult to trust what staff say.

After his hip surgery he was scheduled with a Physical Therapist by the name of Jules . From day one when I had spoken to her to get the physical therapy set up for my Dad, I immediately liked her. She has a calm and caring disposition and is the perfect example for an "Awesome Physical Therapist!" She is professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring, and efficient. She truly made a huge difference in helping my Dad recover from his hip surgery. Here are my Dad's exact words for Jules: I am writing to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude for Jules, my physical therapist from Mission Home Health . My name is Michael Morneau, and I was a patient recovering from a total hip replacement. Jules visited me four or five times in total. and she was the best! I can not thank the team who helped me regain some of my mobility, confidence, strength, and happiness enough! Anna, Chaeli (Shay*lee), Christian, & Colleen are the most amazing Physical Therapist(PT)/Occupational Therapist(OT) I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Extremely communicative, fun, optimistic, and always willing to work around you! Mind you, my schedule is extremely flexible, so when there're slight changes to my appt dates/time, it doesn't affect me too much*. You have to understand that they're traveling from patient to patient with little to no break in between, say for their drive. Knowing that, plus seeing how far some have to drive in between clients, gave me a whole new understanding of these caregivers. That being said, if your schedule is already tight, make sure your PT/OT understands that so they can make sure that the time/date(s)byou both specify will be abided by. Made recommendations to make my home safer(OT), and since putting those in place has offered me more confident and safe! I wholeheartedly recommend Mission Home Health to get you back on track with your recovery needs for in home. After another scary fall I knew that living alone was no longer an option. I toured several options and ultimately selected Ramona Senior Manor. When I walked in the front doors I knew this place was different. I saw a care team of loving staff attending to the residents (it was meal time). I met with the admitting staff to review my father's needs, likes and dislikes. He was still in the ER at hospital and the only way he would go was if I forced the issue. I was so upset and worried he would be angry at me and that our relationship would be forever damaged. Jim - went to the ER and talked to my dad about what it would look like for him to stay at "the Manor" to get him stronger. We selected a large room downstairs. The team made sure every request I had was fulfilled (from a small refrigerator to a desk where he could sit and do his "bills". My father thrived at the Manor. To watch him socialize and eat three square meals was so special. He gained weight and talked about how good the food was! He accepted that he was struggling on his own and took advantage of every opportunity to participate in all the activities! My father was inherently a kind gentle and lovely human. We got to see the best of him come out again when he finally accepted the help he so desperately needed. My father ended up going on hospice care after a month at the Manor. He did not want anymore hospital visits. Ramona Senior Manor works in conjunction with Hospice provider we selected (Radiant Hospice) to have a continuous care team making each day the best possible! My father made his transition on December 28, 2024. He had been a resident since November 17, 2023 and on Hospice services since December 2023. To every single human from the chef to the janitor and each and every person who showered him with kindness and care we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love all of you.
