Relying on Yelp reviews we contacted San Diego Home Caregivers and met with the owner Sterling Miles. It was clear from the start that finding the right caregiver and meeting all of Mom's needs was his top priority. He even gave us information on other options in case his services might not meet our needs. He is genuine in his concern and commitment to providing top level care. We could not have been more impressed when we met Mom's new caregiver Jasmine. Her cheerful, warm personality was a perfect fit, and Mom was immediately comfortable with her. She went out of her way to not only care for Mom but to also help us in any way she could. Unfortunately, by the end of January Mom was at the end stage of her life. Because she was so comfortable with Jasmine, we had her continue to come even though Mom also had Hospice care by that time. My doctor ordered equipment and my insurance approved it, but it never came. I called SuperCare, and the recording said that it would be a 20-minute wait so I asked for a call back. I finally got a call back, but there was no one on the line and then the line went dead. So I called back, same thing again...got a call back but no one on the line and then the line went dead. I called yet again and sat on hold for 20 minutes. Finally got someone on the phone who said that they got the request for equipment but the doctor did not order the settings. I messaged my doctor who said that SuperCare staff are incompetent and that she did indeed include the settings in her order. My doctor then resent the exact same prescription this time to a supervisor. Two days later I got a call that my equipment was ready, so I scheduled an appointment for them to bring it to my home and set it up. Even got an email confirmation. They never showed. When I called SuperCare yet again, sat on hold, finally got through, the person said that my appointment was scheduled but whomever scheduled the appointment never told the driver, so he was not coming. Had to reschedule and take yet more time off work. This company's staff are idiots and useless. If you can use a different company, definitely do so.
