I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! Last month I called Caltek because my parents had a water leak coming from the ceiling of the first floor. I wanted someone to go over and see what was going on. When I called they said sure they can get someone over and that the fee was about $180 so I agreed. Once the tech got there my parents explained to the tech (Jesus M.T.) that after using the tub upstairs they noticed water leaking from the ceiling of the downstairs. The tech proceeded to tell them that they should call the insurance and go through them because it would cost about $500 to start ripping apart the drywall to "see" where the leak is coming from and THEN more money to repair the issue and the drywall. Jesus never went upstairs, never looked at the tub, never tried to duplicate the problem. Simply just stared at the ceiling and said "yup there is a leak and it's a lot of money". My parents declined any repair. The next day my dad calls me and duplicates the issue by filing the upstairs tub with a little bit of water. Called Caltek again because I was at work and disappointed with the outcome of the previous visit. I thought they would send someone else more qualified unfortunately they sent the same guy and he had the same response. This time I spoke to him and asked what the $180 fee was for and he said just to get him in uniform and at my parents door step. At this point, I told him never mind we'll fix it ourselves, thank you. After work I went to go check it out myself and will a single cup of water found that the drain from the tub has a small opening between the gasket and the tub and water was leaking from there. Unbelievable. I could not believe this guy couldn't go upstairs and simply just look at the tub to find the root of the problem. It was a simple fix and definitely not a "$500+" repair. Either Caltech tried to scam my parents out of more money or they just hire techs that are too lazy to do their job. read more

To put this in the proper perspective, the shower faucet handle and bolt just snapped off after turning it on as normal. Half of the bolt remained in the wall and there was water running with no way to turn it off without shutting off the the entire water supply of the house. I called just about every 24/7 plumbing service company there is and was told "Sorry, were booked" and had to wait for the next available appointment of 36 hours or later. Between that and in one case being strung along for four hours, eight hours had passed before I found CalTek. I gave them a call and, maybe an hour later, they were at the door. Upon arrival the repairman quickly reviewed the faucet model and headed out to Lowes to grab the replacement, right as they were closing (9pm). I couldn't believe it. Then an hour later the job was done. The water was then restored to the rest of the house. In my opinion, it's extremely rare to get great high quality service unless you're sacrificing your whole wallet. This was an emergency situation as I have two baby children. The service was completed 2.5 hours after calling them and the price was very fair. I can't thank Cal Tek enough. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. read more

We had an emergency on a Sunday night. What bad timing to have a kitchen faucet that broke and shutoff valves were toast. Only way to stop leak was to shut off water supply from street. That's as bad as it could get. Luckily Caltek Plumbing is 24 hour service. Within 2 hours, they sent out Rudy to take care of the problem. Very nice guy and very professional. He saved the night by installing 2 temporary shutoff valves on the incoming hot and cold water supply underneath the sink. Since it was late and Home Depot and Lowes were closed that's all he could do for the night. We scheduled him to come back Monday morning and he was able to install new faucet, new valves and new piping. Now everything is perfect again. He did such a great job that we are going to let him install a new garbage disposal as soon as we get more funds available. read more

**RIP OFF Plumbers**, Don't use these LIERS for nothing the came out to our home yesterday and did what the wanted to do we , we asked for them to replace the Shut off water valve in the back of the refrigerator it was leaking, I have a new refrigerator coming and needed this fixed to get ice & water. These Thieves came in and Cut the Valve completely OFF caped it and charged $430 for this .. Why would we EVER say cut the valve off ?? With out the Valve we get no ice or water?? Once we realized what they had did he wanted another $750 to do what we Originally ask for!! What??? Hell no,!! Oh yeah they only take CASH that's a RED Flag.. Horrible. Stiffed me for $320. Came out Monday for 15 minutes and was clogged again Wednesday. Had to call Roto Rooter to do it right. I called Cal Tek first at 2 but didn't show up until 5:35. 5 Plumbing Companies responded to my request. 3 were contacted and came to my location to provide a quote. All 3 provided a verbal quote and CalTek was the only company to supply a written quote that was emailed to me. The other 2 companies said they would email quote but failed to do so. Of the 3 quotes, CalTek was the best priced and Rudy went in quite abit of detail how how he would complete the work request. I decided to go with CalTek, especially since the other 2 companies did not provide a written quote. Rudy and Jesus showed up within the requested window and went to work quickly. They worked together well and didn't mind me watching them work. An additional repair was needed that had been previously quoted, Rudy was able to give me a price on the spot and said he could do it the same day. Rudy and Jesus completed the original job and the additional job very efficiently and cleaned up as they worked. I was very pleased with their work and will use them again, if needed. At 9pm on Sunday, we had a bad and stubborn clog form in our shower/tub drain that also prevented us from using our kitchen sink because that water backed up into the tub too. Our property manager contacted Caltek and Rudy and Jasmine arrived within an hour. They were polite, friendly and exceedingly professional as we described and showed them the issue. Called to have a plumber come out and fix a leak that was in the garage. The plumber showed up, assessed the situation and informed us that he could repair the leak going through our garage. A huge hole was cut into the wall of the garage and the pipes were made accessible. The plumber decided that instead of cutting a notch into the piece of wood on the foundation, he decided to cut through our dinning room wall, molding to lift up the pipe and repair it. This avenue he decided on was never discussed with us. So he proceeded to cut through our wall and into our wood molding to be able to reach his hand through the floor to lift the piece of pipe. Once we saw this was taking place we stopped the work and began discussing this with the plumber, calmly. When addressing our concerns, the plumber got agitated and informed us that the issue was his error, he would have the company send someone out to repair the hole in our wall and was leaving without finishing up the repair to the pipe because he was too stressed out. I have the conversation between the plumber and ourselves recorded. I phoned the company and spoke with the receptionist and informed her of our problem. She said that she was going to assess the pics the plumber took and have someone come out and fix the hole in our wall and damaged molding. We know that this will not be completed to the current state of the wall and molding. Regarding the repair to our hot water line, she said they will not be sending anyone to make the repair. This clearly is a very shoddy and unprofessional company and I truly hope that future customers take this as a warning and do not use this company for any plumbing repairs to their home. read more
