I called Cam9 based on a recommendation from a friend who (happily) hired them as well, and they were great. My old cameras had stopped working properly, and they upgraded me to new high-def cameras for about 1/3 of the price that my prior IT guy quoted me. In addition, they were very easy to work with, and spent over an hour with me after the install was completed, walking me through how everything worked, setting up the app on my phone, activating the motion sensors on the cameras / app as well, adjusting the sensitivities to what I wanted, etc. Really couldn't have asked for anything more - would definitely use them again. read more

I'm extremely critical in my reviews of any service. That's simply because I have a ridiculous knack for perfection and attention to detail. I wanted to have a security camera system installed and called them. Jose met me within a few hours. From the get go, he was extremely professional and personable. I believe in quality work but I also like the piece of mind of not dealing with someone that cannot take constructive criticism; I can tell you that Jose is all of the above. Also, I waited several months after the install to write this review. Jose definitely earned it. During the initial consult, he walked my home and mapped out everything important for the install. We walked through different options for the security system and each time he explained what all the necessary components were for and how they worked together. On the day of the appointment, Jose and his entire team were prompt but due to some difficulties encountered during the install, they ended up staying much longer than initially quoted. True to his word, they stayed on and soldiered through until the end. If you read this and you're anything like me, you would probably be thinking about getting multiple quotes from different contractors etc. I can assure you I did all that and Jose was by far, the most knowledgeable person in this field that I know. Not only is he creative in his install solutions but his main skill is the networking and trouble-shooting portion. During the learning phase, I encountered several issues with my system and Jose was always available to walk me through each step over the phone. If it were anything more serious, he'd show up when he said he was going to be there to take care of the issue. If you're thinking of a home surveillance system, you haven't looked hard enough until you have given them a call. Call, and it's done, like the commercial. And done very well. Just had Cam9 install a residential video surveillance system. We discussed what we wanted with Jose and Luis, which is to use it as an alarm system to detect motion, threshold crossing, etc. They provided a reasonable quote for a system with cameras that are highly configureable for motion, threshold, etc detection, creating a text, notification, etc. They answered all my questions, and just completed the install. It is a hard wired system, and Joey and Luis did a great job running/fishing wires. So no conduit, wires inside or outside. Would definitely use them again. If you get a cheaper quote, make sure you understand the complete installation and equipment. This is not easy work to do. Jose, and Joey did a high quality job. read more

Jose and team installed IP cameras and a network DVR about 2 years ago as well as the associated security/firewalls needed. They also installed a 16 port switch so that we can rock all of our devices on a Cat6 backhaul. They did it well and everything works, but what I like best about them? They are still available for check-ins and with questions. We had a port randomly die and it effected our network. They came out, troubleshooted it, fixed it, and moved on...this was 2 years after we bought from them! It's rare to find a company like this who is super responsive and talented. This company is the best. I am late in writing this review because life has a way of interfering with the best intentions. Jose and his workers installed a new camera system for us in September, 2016. Prior to this we went thru 2 systems from Sam's and Costco. Both DVR's failed from those systems after about 1 year of use. Jose installed a new DVR and 4 new dome cameras and he reused a few bullet cameras from our old systems. He listens to your security concerns and immediately scopes out where the best camera placement should be. The system has worked without any flaws since then installation and is very easy to figure out when playing back footage. We have gotten numerous compliments on the system set-up from other repair techs that have been here to service our internet, phones, etc. Jose is very detailed oriented and won't leave until he is sure you understand the system and how to use it. And he stresses to call or email him with any issues or help you need after installation. Fair pricing and great workers. I highly, highly recommend Cam9install. Very happy with these guys! I had a home tech project that needed to be completed while I was out of state. I booked a different company and was stood up! I panicked and reached out to Cam9install - within about an hour, they were able to get a 2 person crew to the house. They successfully installed a Ring doorbell, Ring floodlight cam, (4) Orbi routers, (2) Nest thermostats and a Nest camera. They kept in constant communication with me 2,000 miles away and get everything set up.
