On top of that I decided our old window treatments weren't quite right for our new gorgeous bathroom so reached out to my trust decorator for recommendations. She said she's had nothing, but great experiences with Gotcha Covered...and looks like (based on the stellar reviews) that many yelpers agree. I called last Monday and found time on a Saturday morning for a sales rep (Jay) to stop by. Saturdays are ideal for my work schedule, although when he stopped by at 10am I had 3 kids I had to kick out of their rooms (especially the teenager) so he walked into a bit of craziness, but didn't seem bothered by it. Within an hour we chose hunter douglas room darkening shades for my kids rooms, as well as a custom made silhouette window shade for our bathroom. My decorator facetimed to help us pick a color and fabric for the window, which ended up being a quick 5 min call. We were able to match all the shades to the existing trim in all the rooms and then Jay was off. Jay promised a quote by Monday, but delivered it Saturday afternoon. While pricey it ended up being much less than I expected (also included a designer referral discount) and I"m really happy with everything we ordered. I did think about shopping around, but decided to just go with Gotcha Covered based on the stellar reviews, great service from Jay and the price seemed fair (even chatgpt agreed :)). They required a 50% deposit to place the order and promised to deliver/install in 4-6 weeks. I'll update my review after installation, but I'm happy so far!

He got himself enmeshed into my mother's life constantly insisting she should give up her gorgeous country estate home to move into The Garlands in Barrington. At that point in time my mother adored her freedom and independence in her home luxuriant in her newfound privacy under her domain. She explicitly told me "this is living"...nonetheless Ogden Blinds who did work for the retirement community in Barrington led my mother down the primrose path telling her how marvelous it would be for her to live at The Garlands and how "politicians lived there" ( ugh) he lured her there where they love bombed her with promises of eternal happiness and joy. How convenient for Ogden Blinds to orchestrate a behind the scenes deal with my brother to take over my mother's home for basically free to supposedly remodel a building behind her magnificent showcased country estate home. Yes I personally witnessed the insanity unleashed. My mother was scammed and cried incessantly she was broken hearted and wanted to be back on her beautiful porch overlooking the gorgeous landscape. Ogden Blinds enjoyed the luxury lifestyle while my mother deteriorating in tears. I, as the daughter, had no power to intervene other than adamant objections. My brothes, a neurologist, the other a lawyer, had all rights. I couldn't even save her. Not even give her water. Ultimately now my other brother a doctor recently put my mother on so called humane end of life suspension of life sustaining anything (euthanasia). End of life removed all life sustaining anything including water and food. Just like Terry Shiavo. Calling that "compassion " My mother was head of Right to Life in McHenry County and always said they would murder the elderly. Then it happened to her in the cruelest of ways. By her own son. The Garlands allowed this insanity. Thanks to Ogden Blinds have no idea what possible kickback were involved to scam my mother Irene Napier into leaving her beloved home so you could just take it over. And my stupid brothers letting you move in for basically free to supposedly remodel a building in the back of the estate? Please beware. Predators abound. I now have to deal with the horrors and memories of my crying mother who missed so badly her beautiful home. Ogden Blinds destroyed her senior years. Beware.

Doing my due diligence I sought a second quote from another company. The first thing he asked me is what brand and how old and told me where to look to find the information.
