My wife and I recently purchased a single-family home which was a significant graduation from owning a condo that brought about a number of new responsibilities and complexities. Additionally, this home was a new construction that brought added variables in the form of options to implement and customize. The logistics of buying are always taxing which is to say nothing of moving and initial setup. It was this "initial setup" where Auggie and his team's expertise shined to quickly bring our new home from an ominous "TODO list" to a place that we felt both comfortable and safe. Auggie started by first walking through the home with me and demonstrating his encyclopedic knowledge of all things pertaining to connectivity, audio & visual hardware, as well as monitoring & security. He not only used his knowledge to enumerate the options available to us but really demonstrated a commitment/empathy to our needs which were prioritizing safety, connectivity and then conservatively scaling into A/V options (having just dropped a lot of cash on a down payment). There was no upselling. He built us a min-viable plan while providing cost-tiered options thereafter (for us to both get a sense of trade-offs but also for us to have a sense of what to consider long-term). It felt selfish on my part in that I did not have to do deep research on these different subjects but rather I could pose my "stupid" and numerous questions to Auggie to be met with a quick reply that capably addressed my knowledge gap. He made it easy for us to decide to work with him. Once we aligned on scope, execution came next. On this side of things, there existed the same, relentless commitment to customer satisfaction. Despite having many concurrent projects at the time (also a good signal), they worked hard to set us up quickly after moving into our new home. The installation staff was prompt, diligent and professional in setting up our home but also very affable and patient with respect to walking me through how to understand and utilize our system. As a surprise to me for a recent birthday, my wife contacted August at Quality Connections (QC) to purchase and install outdoor speakers in our backyard; the perfect gift for someone who loves music as much as he loves being outside. The guys came out and updated my system with control 4, so now I can go into any room and play whatever source I want, I have pandora and some other sources so I can just select the source from the control 4 ap and tell them where I want music to play in what room. It's a great set up. They did a great job, they also set up my main family room tv on control 4 so I control the tv and sound using the remote or ap on my phone or ipad. I would highly recommend them to set this up. I can then in future add lighting. They are also going to do my front door lock. They also replaced my tv with another tv in bedroom and put a new mount up, very good job on that. I called Quality Connections for help setting up a home theatre. These guys went above and beyond what I had hoped for. I'm so glad that I selected them - and I would highly recommend them for anyone's project - they selected excellent TV and Audio options. The setup is fantastic. - they recommended options that went above my original specifications... I was able to get an electronic lock for my door, a Nest thermostat installed, light dimmers in the media room - all set up through the Control4 system. - even though my media room was already prewired for surround sound - they rewired the room so that the rear speakers were in the ceiling instead of the back wall - which made a better audio quality as well as better aesthetics. - they moved my wireless router upstairs so that it would get better coverage throughout the house. (Apparently wireless signals travel better downwards than upwards). - they handled last-min changes with no problems whatsoever. His guys ran over to Best Buy to pick up a new Roku for me at the last min. - August and his team are highly professional and easy to work with. These guys are also the real deal. I have a 12 monitor, luxury home theater installation in a 16 room single family home and these can't even answer incoming calls politely. Austin, when a caller says "Goodmorning, how are you doing this morning" the answer is "I'm doing great, thanks for asking, how are you and how can I help you?" You're in the service business guys. If you don't want to be in it then don't. You just lost a contract before you even got started estimating it. Be polite next time the phone rings, it just may be a new customer. read more

Having issues with my Comcast box, August went to the Comcast pickup location and picked up a new box for me! Gave me updates throughout the day; making sure all my apps from the receiver were programmed correctly. Stuck around until 6:00PM when I got home from work to show me how to use all the technology. When wanting to add new apps to my remote August was quick to respond through e-mail. Best service I have received from any service sector dealt with. Usually not wanting to spend the time to review services. This one I could not let go. Had a big job on a newly purchased home. Rob and his team came out took a look and gave an honest assessment. Had ABT out as well and they proposed ripping all existing audio and replacing. Rob suggested testing the speakers before doing anything. Turned out to be a huge money saver. Whole home wired for sound, installed an incredible home theater- projector/120in screen/surround. A ceiling drop down TV in the Master, 9 TVs through the rest of the house and speakers outside. The team was professional always on time and answered any questions as we moved through the process.
