And before we met, I found the house I wanted just from the online info. It was New Year's Eve and she went to bat to get all the paperwork done that day. She found out someone else was making an offer on the house so she helped me with the offer details to ensure I'd be the winner. She's very responsive to random questions, important or trivial. One of the seller's requirements was a 30-day close. I didn't anticipate a problem because I was already pre-qualified by the mortgage company that I'd used before. Turns out they are so under-staffed they said they'd not be able to do anything in 30 days. He took 360 degree photos of every possession we had, including my closet, and decor. Refused to prorate with deployment orders. Took the entire 30 days to return security deposit and took 400$ for prior existing scratches on an exterior door, and not cleaning. Which is almost laughable. The house was in better condition when we left than it was on move in. We have rented for close to 14 years together, and never had a single issue.
