This is the best place to adopt a dog. The time the staff spends with you is top notch. The quality…read moreof care for the animals and the new parent adopters are amazing. I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

The grocery store system is perfect, offering choice to folks who don't have much nor get that kind of respect. Since then food banks, distro and community assistance has been a growing interest for me. I look to copy the standards and general set up of Stanwood Camano Foodbank at each place I volunteer for. Love the staff and volunteers! It was difficult to walk away from such a fine organization when I had to relocate. Kudos to the Thrift Store, too. Endless merchandise for all who are in need and probably the most organized of any I've been to. In some cities thrift stores gouge customers by misidentifying antiques that are simply regular items. No joke, there are a few down the street from me and it's pathetic. This one is reasonable and fair. I highly recommend volunteering for both the store and the food bank. If you do though, remember it's for the community not for you, and should not be looked at as a job but as an opportunity to serve. Great organization overall, I look forward to the day I can be there again!

And they need a different system instead of group numbering and I want to bag and take my own groceries out to my car! I've had items forgotten because of their system! The Washington Ferret Rescue &…read moreShelter was a fantastic resource in pointing me to the best veterinary care available in my area, and all-around being available for after-hour emergencies, care questions etc. If you've ever loved exotic animals, you know how valuable this resource is. After making a lifelong connection to the rescue when I relocated, I became a volunteer myself over the years. The rescue is fully run and operated by dedicated professionals, animal rescuers, and animal lovers. I am so grateful to have made this rescue and all of the people who make it part of my own adopted family here in Washington. I now "fospice" foster for some of the rescues unadoptables. To keep the shelter open for adoptable pets, and really get behind "no ferret turned away", and remain a no-kill shelter, a lot of the shelter's more complicated kiddos are hanging out with so many of our volunteers, enjoying the final years of life in a home. This is truly a wonderful organization that centers the animals first, always.

There are excellent shelters but this is clean, well-maintained and has their Veterinarian in the same complex. They have a vet tech on-site and carefully check out potential adopters. I am pleased to support this caring and professional shelter. And yes, I've visited both locations and consistently impressed by the clean, safe environment. This shelter provides great value for your donation. It is worthy of your support.
