This review is for the driving range across the street. There's minimal parking. The golf ball dispenser can be tricky to use. Make sure you look at the card reader to ensure it's charging/selecting the correct size/amount of balls. Or you'll get a randomly generated balls dispensed for you. We got two batches of large, but it didn't really feel like 100 golf balls. Still, we had fun, and the beauuuuutiful views of Mt.Hood on a sunny day. read more

Driving Range Review-overall good experience the few times I've come here to practice. Ball machine is a little confusing at first but once you figure it out it's fine. $6 for a small bucket, $12 for a medium and $18 for a large. Covered and uncovered (grass) area to practice. Quite a lot of spaces so I personally don't have an issue finding a spot unless you come at peak times then you might as it does get fairly busy. read more

First, the rate is almost 2x other facilities in the middle of Jan. Second, the course was in poor shape. They continue to let the traps go to shit. Some under repair for months and months. Rough not playable due to grass length, in spite of many days of no rain. That said, the greens were good. Third, even tho we paid weekend rates there was no Marshall and the round was painfully slow. There were 4 groups backed up on some holes. I won't be back anytime soon. Elk Ridge, Tri Mtn, and Great Blue will get my business. read more

Oh, I have so much to say about this. Let me begin. The course is nice, pretty well kept and a great location, beautiful looks Aswell. It's a great layout and the majority of the workers are nice. But, There's this guy named Michael at the front desk. Who let me say it's not a nice worker at all. Not long ago I went in and I checked in for a tee time and he groaned at me. He is such a negative person to everyone that I hear from. I have had many many friends go here and talk with him and they always say he is the only bad experience. I would give this establishment a 4 or higher because there really isn't anything bad about it, but respectfully, Michael. I was debating putting this review but after hearing from ANOTHER friend that they had a bad experience with him, I am fed up with it. Thank you. read more

This is a stunning and meticulously maintained course, reminiscent of a links-style layout. The pro shop offers ample equipment and supplies, and the course itself is in excellent condition. If you are walking the course, it is a long walk. We plaid the front 9. It was literally 1/2 a mile or 1000 steps between tee boxes. I enjoyed the walk but it was a bit of a surprise. I can't praise it enough for a public course. However, I must address the behavior of some players on the course. While the fairways and greens were in great shape, I was disappointed by the lack of respect shown by certain individuals. Despite the reasonable price, it's evident that some players either disregard or aren't aware of the rules and responsibilities of the game. The fairways were marred by numerous unrepaired divots, and the greens were littered with neglected ball marks. There are tools available, or even a simple long tee, to address these issues. It's essential to demonstrate a degree of courtesy and preserve the course for those playing after us. Overall, it's a fantastic course with a wonderful staff, but it's disheartening to see some players tarnishing its beauty with their behavior. Thanks to presumably the city of Camas (?) for providing this amenity to the community. It is an amazing community asset. read more

This was one of our favorite atmosphere and food locations in Camas. I took my wife and kids for a Sunday diner. The food quality went down for taste and variety. A bit Bland. The service should have been better. The service was Ok but the girl seating could be more cheery or smile. (That's what tips are paying for. ) There was a group of guy golfers drinking on the terrace who were loud and cussing without regard to others. (Not the fault of the club. ) We may give it another chance but until that changes I'll eat someplace that appreciates the business enough to train the staff. read more

This review is strictly golf! This is personally one of my favorite courses in the area (Portland/Vancouver). It's gorgeous and is a great challenge. The first 3 holes is one of the toughest starts for average golfers. 2 par 4s with no room for error, and a LONG par 3 over marsh. If you cannot control your ball, be prepared to not see it again LOL. If you plan to walk/use a push cart, the first 5 holes are very far from each other, so be mentally prepared. Front 9 is harder than the back 9. Back 9 has a couple challenging holes but more forgiveness off the tee. I play this course quite often and I personally enjoy the challenge it brings. It has forced me to work on my swing and make smarter club and shot choices which has improved my game for other courses. Do not go in with expectations unless you are a 5 handicap or less. But when you hit a great shot with the challenges this course brings, it's very satisfying. It is public so one nice days or weekends/holidays, expect it to be a 5 hour round. I really enjoy the people that work here, the club and restaurant staff are very kind people. The club staff play here a lot so they are a great resource to talk with if you have never played. All the Marshalls (this is my current understanding but it may have changed) are all volunteers and super friendly. My only critiques are as follows: Driving range doesn't have bunker,chipping, or putting area, which for the area is a bummer since Vanco closed. Theres putting next to the club house but is for "patrons". Overall 4/5, just because of the improvements they SHOULD be making imo. read more

I started playing Camas in the offseason when tee times weren't so outrageous but the grounds at that time are unbearable. I'd come home soaked in mud and still had to pay $30 per tee time. After looking at there rates during summer it will run you about $100 per person with cart and taxes. Plus the membership is not really worth it and there are a lot of old heads that get mad when you aren't playing 1hr ahead of pace. read more

This place has been going downhill tremendously. The course has been unplayable in the winter season, and nothing has been done to improve course conditions. There is no longer a practice green or bunker at the range. As lady golfers, We tend to encounter rude people at this course, including those at the golf shop. The higher their greens fees, the lower their service standards. read more

I am not sure where to begin. I was golfing with my son this past Sunday, and out of nowhere a golf ball came up along the cart path and hit me in the face. I believe it was truly an accident but have tried to reach out on several occasions to Nick the manager to discuss putting me in contact with the individual to help pay for my medical expense as well as broken glasses. This is no different than when you break someone's window on the course and are held liable for the damage. My request(s) have been totally ignored and at this point I will never return to Camas Meadows, and I will be sure to share this incident anyone who will listen. read more

It was a beautiful day to go out and practice at their golf range but no go. Packed city. So my bff and suggested we hit a quick 9 hole and headed down to the golf course. Side note: Don't wear jeans here as it's looked down upon too. We entered the golf shop and we were greeted by two high schoolers. My bff asked for the cost to play and he was a little hesitant out of concern that we wouldn't be able to play the full 9 holes due to the time (given it was past 5pm) but we were fine to playing until dark. Price was close to $36/person including cart. The other gentleman drove the cart in front of the practice greens and off we went. We were able to play a good 8 holes and probably would have been able to finish if we didn't have people in front of us. Rainy conditions cause a lot of squishy/soggy grass as what was expected. We had to tiptoe to our balls when we walked through the rough and into the fairway. Greens were super duper fast when we went out so at least they drain those pretty well. Hole # 2 is always intimidating as you have to hit over brush. Hole # 9 is my favorite as it's just aesthetically pretty to walk through and enjoying the view. The golf marshal greeted us a couple of times and watched us when we were on the green on Hole #4. The course does keep tabs and we were obviously the last group of the day. If I play a whole 18, the back 9 is my favorite to play. Reason is that I rarely play a full 18 nowadays. I guess it's the layout of how the holes are. Challenging enough and all beautiful at the same time. Overall, course is really a beautiful one and I can see why people would want to get married here - heck, I got married at a golf course! Clubhouse has a great seating area outside looking over the 18th hole and the fountain. Lighting is beautiful at night! We've eaten here once prior to COVID and the food was great and of course had to get the Arnold Palmer after a round. I would say the golf range could be better and be well taken care of for how nice the course is. As an upgrade, would be cool if they could double decker it! They also have a nice chipping and sand trap to practice on too. read more

She makes the planning fun and easy and was accommodating to all of our needs and wishes. She helped with every aspect and gave valuable input! The venue is gorgeous and the food was amazing! The chef prepared delicious food that was truly upscale! Our guests raved about all of the food! The staff from the guys who set up the chairs and tables to the waitstaff, bartenders and golf rangers .....they were all so nice and helpful! Very helpful staff among pro shop, starter, marshall, and other players for this first time player at this course. But fairways are in very rough shape, possibly due to recent heat dome. That's understandable. What's not understandable is the paucity of sand in the bunkers. It made bunker shots near impossible to judge, to the point where I just started to remove the ball and place it on the turf. As I have discovered in the past, this creates the possibility of hitting a hidden rock, causing elbow injury. Not putting enough sand in bunkers is just a cost cutting scheme, which, given the amount of the greens fees here, is inexcusable. The holes were nicely laid out, although very far from each other, necessitating the need for a cart. I like to walk but here that's not really practical. I may play here again, although not too soon. read more

I decided to hit some balls at the range and grabbed my clubs. I got to the ball machine and there was a note: "Credit card reader is out of order. Take the cart to the clubhouse and get tokens." Now, the reason for the cart is that the clubhouse at Camas Meadows is across the street, perhaps a quarter mile away. I decided I would just chip and putt instead. The practice bunker had a sign "Temporarily closed". Given that the weeds nearly covered all of what little sand was in the bunker, "temporarily" apparently has a different definition to them that I would use. The putting green was not in great shape either...several bald spots. I'm rather stunned. I haven't played here for a couple years, but in the past it was perfectly groomed and in great shape. The Oaks Bar and Grill is a fun Happy Hour destination (3-6pm seven days a week). Very basic menu with most dishes executed well and good value. I liked the calamari with onion rings. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The venue is nice but on the small side with seating for only 20 or so diners. It's very popular at Happy Hour so getting a seat can be a challenge. It's very kid friendly and a good choice for families with young children which fits Camas very well. It's not fussy dining but well executed comfort food. Check it out. read more

Camas Meadows did away with early bird and twilight rates, instead INCREASING rates. If they're wondering why their parking lot is always 2/3 empty during the week, it's because people don't want to pay $88.00 to play there. (And it's 100 .00 bucks on weekends.) They closed the practice green near the pro shop to paid players only. ....NO grass tees of any kind this summer at the driving range, despite raising the price of a large bucket to $15.00....just laziness or fear of losing profits by maintaining the range. Not to mention they still have the 2 1/2 foot long air hose. Come on Camas Meadows, try thinking of your customers for once. read more

This review is just for the bar/restaurant. I do enjoy hitting balls at the range but trying to sit for food and drinks is pretty bad here. I don't know what it is, mediocre service, bland food, half-way decent drinks, but this is not a nice place to come for an eating/drinking experience. The setting is great and this should be a wonderful place to look forward to but we've tried it three times and fails to inspire us to come back. Sitting out on the patio overlooking the course should be an amazing experience but something about this place ruins it for us. After three times we're done. Sure, you want to grab a quick bite and beer after a round yeah I'd go for that. But not to make a special trip to come out here for either of those nor would I waste my time after a bucket of balls. I'd rather hit up another place in our area for that. read more

If you want to buy a set of golf clubs take the pro shops advise and buy them online. When I went into the pro shop to buy a set of clubs there were four men behind the counter and not one of them knew enough about golf clubs to help select some new clubs. They called Nick in his office, his advice was to go online. Nick is obviously overwhelmed with his responsibilities because he could not take even one moment to talk with a future customer. So take his advice and do not waist your time going into their pro shop when you could just buy online. read more

I came here to relax and play some golf the course is very nice very well maintained. The customer service at the golf store was great and at the starter was very easy going. On the course however we had a staff member watching our shots and we were just starting to get warmed up but he went on to say "if you guys just want to get a refund and go to the range that would be great" and made remarks like "this is a course to practice on" even though I got par on the hole. Just very disrespectful in my opinion. I would love to play here again but it would have to be a while because that is just unacceptable read more

Worst service ever when it was not even busy. Five requests just to get water glasses, 30 minutes to get drinks, wrong order brought to table, had to stack our menus and plates to make room on table when she didn't clear it. No apology or admission that anything was wrong when we complained and asked manager for help. Snotty and incompetent server, indignant manager, and bizarre experience. One star is for food- it was good- otherwise would be zero stars. Will not return until I hear they have new management. read more

My husband and I got married at Camas Meadows 1 year ago. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a venue. It was beautiful. The rooms are great. The food was delicious. We worked with Rachel pretty much the entire time. It was important for us to communicate with our venue coordinator and Rachel made everything seamless. One of our favorite go to happy hour spots for living in Camas, we love sitting on the patio in the summer and enjoy the cozy indoor atmosphere in the winter....the staff ,food selection and quality is very good! They always have a nice beer and wine selection too! read more

I have been playing Camas Meadows for at least 3 years now so I am familiar with the ups and downs here. My latest outing and one of the first for the year was earlier this week on 4/1 and it will be a long time before I return (if ever). It has taken me several days to finally write this review but I have relayed my latest experience to friends and they respond with similar experiences. The greens were in terrible shape (I understand this, they will be awesome in a few weeks). Cart path only when the course is dry (ok, not taking any chances on damage). These I completely understand but the following I do not. Teens laying on the ground ON the putting green. Dancing and goofing off on the green so no one can get any puts in before or after rounds. This was going on while at least 3 marshals were within sight. I finally gave up trying to put. Teens playing behind us (very good golfers by the way) hit into us three times. Finally after the third time we were able to flag a marshal. If these were not teens the follow up would have been handled by my group but chasing down kids is not a smart move. Since the carts have GPS we knew were were not playing slow we were actually playing very fast. And I do not want to hear jokes and lighthearted comments from the marshal when I am explaining the above behavior. We left our number and requested a response from the course manager but no one in my group has gotten any response. Bottom line is this can be and has been a decent course. On certain days it can be a good bargain, but it seems they are going the wrong way now. I will be staying away and suggest others do the same. I have only listed of few of the issues we faced during this round, so please see this as only the start. read more

The course was great. Great technology with computerized screens in the cart showing distance to pin, scores, and also allwoing you to order food when coming close to the clubhouse. Downside...The gift certificate that my brother got me "last june" which is not even a year old yet expired 6 months after the purchase date. When I went with my brother they explained to me that it was expired. They wouldnt honor the deal and either them or costco need to get their act together and not offer a product that expires a few months after it is purchased. The management and especially Ozzie the pro shop worker was stuffy at best and gawked at my comments and frustration of not being able to use this certificate. Also, this was embarassing being that my brother obviously intended for us not to have to fork over $80 to play what we though was a round covered by 2 certificates which stated just that. Like I mentioned. You should make sure that the product you are offering gives people adequate time to use them. Making an exception in order to get a return customer in my opinion is a lot more worth it than making yourself and your business look like you would rather not have the business. read more
