It has been a year since I have had a chance to go back to this little gem, but I'm glad we did! Chicken satay, salad rolls, chicken pnang curry, vegetarian spring rolls and last but not least cashew stir fry. They did not disappoint. They open around 4-4:30pm and are pretty busy around 5pm. This is not the best Thai food you're ever going to have in your entire life but it's pretty good and the price is in my opinion really really cheap. there's never a terribly long weight, service is very friendly, there's usually a special that includes two or three entrées and a salad roll it's a great price! Wanting to support smaller, locally owned businesses in the neighborhood during the COVID-19 pandemic and having already had a bad experience with the other Thai restaurant in town...we gave Camas Thai a try. Zero regrets! In fact, we're overjoyed with the food and value. We ordered the Pad Thai Special, which was $6.95 for pad thai, curry and rice (or was it a soup...not sure but either way it was delicious over the provided rice), and a large shrimp spring roll. Rarely - if ever have I had Thai food that was so awful I couldn't eat it - such was the case with our take out meal last night. Why isn't there a no stars option? Service was good but the Thai food and presentation was the worst ever. All the sauces are watered down and probably the seasonings too (peanut sauce, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and pad Thai seasoning). We ordered the pad see ew and pad Thai. The pad see ew was pale and lacked the usual dark color and smoky/soy sauce flavor. The pad Thai tasted like it had been flavored with watered down ketchup or something tomato based. Bleh! Good luck maybe you'll have a better experience or they'll improve. However now I know why we were the only ones in the restaurant during dinner time which was strange. read more

I am writing this because as a Camas resident for seven years I must say this place does not get the credit it deserves. If you order their special number one you get pad thai (see ordering tip for superb pad thai their amazing curry ( they change it up with different veggies but always good and spicy) One large salad roll, a ball of sticky rice for 7.95 and its enough for lunch and dinner. We always order a number one and an order of CRAB PUFFS !!!! LARGE AND FULL OR YUMMY CREAMCHEESE with an occasional chunk of imitation crab but its actually got a lot of filling. literally we feed a family of four with two orders of the number one. PAD THAI ORDERING TIP : if you like the traditional green scallion (onion),fried egg, peanuts and bean sprouts you NEED TO ASK FOR IT) I didn't find this out till I looked at their description and they mention it in the menu but there was never any in my pad thai) Also mention spice- or it will be very mild. I eat at CAMAS THAI EVERYONE in Camas boasts kop chai for their food and you will not only spend double for the same order you may end up getting raw shrimp like I had and it was disgusting to pay so much for an order and have it ruined with raw food . NEVER in my fifty times eating at CAMAS thai have I ever had a bad experience except one they didn't do my order as I had asked and they replaced the entire order when I was asking for my pad thai to be the way I asked and they included everything in the combo which was super nice and they know we are long time customers and they want to keep their customers and they did. GREAT Thai food, fast and friendly service, and the price is unbeatable. The negative reviews must've been under different times or something, because we LOVED this place. (And we can be picky foodies too... so this is saying a lot. It's family owned too, which I love supporting. We got the mixed sample appetizer plate and licked the plate clean. It was delicious. We also got the green curry (soooo smooth and yummy- 10/10!) the pad Thai (7/10 on taste... we get this all the time everywhere so we r pretty picky on this one), the pad see ewe (10/10!) and some spicy chicken (I can't, for the life of me, remember what it was called officially but it was so good too~ 10/10). The pricing was so inexpensive that we just kept ordering meals so we could bring it home to the kids... which they all loved btw... so that means it's really goood. Have you ever brought home takeout and then THROWN THE FOOD IN THE TRASH? We ordered a Pad See Ew that was pale, listless and unappetizing-looking. The only vegetable was broccoli, the noodles were sticky and sauce-less, and there was like a "hint" of old-looking scrambled egg. It was sad, I tell you, SAD. The shrimp rolls are to die for and the plum/peanut sauce is homemade (according the the couple who run the place). A little Thai gem in downtown Camas. Cheap eats but not much flavor. $8.95 gets you a fresh salad shrimp role (1 shrimp and LOTS of lettuce), a cup of chicken curry soup (best part of the meal) and pad Thai that was so bad I couldn't eat it (lots of rice noodles and a few bites of chicken). The Tom Kha soup was completely on point and the large portion could have been good enough for 4! Pad Thai wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good. You have Two choices for Thai food in Camas, I would make this the Restaurant the one to go to. I have had the Red Curry Chicken just about every week now, for the last 6 months from here. I love it... as a Foodie I am very picky about my food. As some previous reviews have written there are some issues on service, but you have to understand this is a TRUE Ma and Pa business. The Wife cooks and the Husband serves so if you can get passed that fact, it is what it is. I'm not sure how the previous review is a 5 star and mine is a 1, but here's what I found. I stopped in the other day on a recommendation from a friend(he's never been there). It's about 1 in the afternoon, the place is empty except for one other couple. I go to sit down and not one table is not made up or cleaned. This doesn't bother me, as long as the food is Tasty. The owner/waiter comes over,does a quick wipe of the table and drops off a menu. I notice a fairly large menu and it even has "Curry Duck", I'm excited. I decide to order the Penang Curry( usually one of my favorites). I place my order and the waiter comes back, saying they don't have pork. I change it to chicken and ask what beers they have. He replies, that they don't serve beer. I start to get worried. Thought about leaving. I stayed. The food comes and I realize that the waiter didn't ask how many stars I wanted, and I like my thai HOT. I think it was a 1 star. I know I should have told him when I ordered, but I was flustered with the no pork or booze. The penang was poor. If you eat poor food, you should at least have a beer to wash it down. read more

Our chicken was rotten. They refused to comp or discount our meal because we ate some of the noodles. The female employee YELLED at us. The male employee said to complain to Cash & Carry because that's where he got his chicken. We reminded him that we weren't paying Cash & Carry. I have eaten here many times before and the food was decent, but I won't be back because of the way I was treated.
