She has a painting hanging in Cambria Ocean Drifter Boutique on Main Street in Cambria CA and I could stand, admiring it all day. I just can't tear my eyes off the painting. When our wedding venue fell through a week before our wedding because they refused to let us put up a canopy to get out of the rain, she was kind enough to let us rent our cottage two days early and gave us several location options for our ceremony, whatever would suit us best. She helped me get ready & offered as much love, kindness & support as she could offer. Then, when the weather turned south & started storming extremely heavily during our outdoor ceremony, she generously opened up her own home to us in the top floor of the beautiful dome house to complete our special day. She truly saved the day for us, and treated us like family. The location couldn't be more beautiful. Everywhere you look, beautiful art peeks through the landscape as if placed thete by fairies, and the beauty of nature here creates a sense of tranquility among the redwoods crawling with ivy. Beautiful photo opportunities everywhere you look. A true hippy paradise! The Cala Lily Cottage was cozy, private and intimate, and we felt right at home. PLEASE avoid wasting your money at overpriced, inhospitable cabins/campgrounds out at big sur and come here instead, where you'll be treated like a treasured guest. My new husband and I look forward to returning on an anniversary!

This place is magical. I have so many good things to say about the Jewel in the Forest and Sofanya. I feel connected to them now as they are a part of my story, and I'm so grateful for that! On October 1st, I married my best friend in a small 10 person ceremony at the Jewel in the Forest. It was the most perfect day of my life, and there could not have been a better place for it. We rented out all 4 of the cabins on property to accommodate all of our guests. That allowed us to stay together and bond through the whole experience, while still providing ample privacy and sleeping space for our guests The Dome House is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in my life. From the skylights that allow you a peek of the tops of the redwood trees, to the eclectic and beautiful furniture and decorations, to the wood burning heater, topped off by Sofanya's amazing artwork, it is truly an immersive experience. Sofanya provides games, movies, books, musical instruments, and a full kitchen. Everything you need for the perfect escape. We cut our cake and drank champagne as a group of about 12 in the living space comfortably. Most of our guests stayed at the Jasmine house, which has 3 private rooms and a large living space where we all enjoyed dinner the night before the ceremony. Sofanya even strung up the cutest string lights on the patio for us so we could enjoy the outside space as well. My parents stayed in the adorable Calla Lily cabin, which is perfect for a couple or small family. It is cozy and charming. Our photographer stayed up in the adorable Lotus Blossum, which had the most spectacular windows and a one of a kind outside bathroom. So cool! We held our ceremony near the stream amongst the redwoods. It was breathtaking. Overall, the space was beyond perfect for what we needed. Each of the cabins are unique and have so much character. I recommend that EVERYONE visit and escape from reality to this magical place at some point in your life. You won't regret it. Now, I have to say a few things about Sofanya. She is wonderful! She really went above and beyond making sure our wedding was perfect. She hung the aforementioned lights for me, provided several bouquets around the property, received packages with things for my wedding for me ahead of time, and ensured everyone's comfort the whole stay. Thank you so much for all you did to make my wedding truly perfect Sofanya.

She is not afraid of color or subject matter. Both of these artists have contributed to my personal art collection that reminds me every day what terrific artistic community the Central Coast has. I was called to honor the Chinese Lunar New Year in a completely new way, an ancient Chinese tea…read moreceremony facilitated by Jen. My experience was relaxing, meditative and invigorating. The movements were so delicate and intentional it allowed my mind to slowly drift into a dreamy space. I was mesmerized by the fluidity and mindfulness of this tea journey. We activated the senses, smelling the aroma of the white tea, tasting the subtle flavors and feeling into the warm sensations while being uplifted by some beautiful mantras giving deep meaning to the year ahead. It was a full embodied experience by witnessing the emotions that arose from each serving of tea. I was blown away by the intimacy of it all and I left feeling a new light glowing inside, ready to honor 2023 fully. Jen was an amazing host of this ceremony, she had very grounded warm energy which I appreciate going into a new experience. I look forward to more in the future. Our evening with Lisa and her daughter Violet was so much fun!! My husband and I had the…read moreopportunity to create some stained glass air plant terrariums with Lisa's guidance, while my Mother-in-Law made a fused glass bowl. We learned how to cut pieces of glass and add copper tape that we would then solder together into these amazing and functional art pieces. MIL was working on composing her own design using different layers of colored glass that would later be fired and shaped. I'm so impressed with the outcome and how cool her new studio space was. She had all the materials provided to us and made sure we were each getting enough of her time, since she was dividing her attention between three people! Lisa was really cool and made us feel like we were old friends. We enjoyed her company and were grateful she could lend her artistic eye so that our pieces would be visually appealing. I'm so glad we tried this out and I plan on coming back again to try another project. The photos of our new terrariums don't do them justice. Lisa even provided the air plants! But I thought for 14.75 you should have gotten more then just 2 tacos. My husband got fish and chips 5 pieces and fries for 19.40. The fish pieces were very small. Although the food tasted ok I think it's way over priced for what you get. That's the price you pay for dining in Cambria.

They have a terrific display of crafts, art, and gift items, mostly from local creators and very supportive of women artists. Every time we have been in there, my wife and I find something we really like. They also host classes and workshops. For us, this is a perfect example of the kind of place we love to support... Small, locally owned, with great ties to the community. oh, and a big plus... The owner is super knowledgeable, kind, helpful. Can't go wrong with that either. As of this writing, November 2022, they are in the process of moving to a new location. So, I encourage you to follow along with the move. We definitely will be!
