Lived here 3 years simply because I was too lazy to move not cause I liked it. It wasn't awful but…read moreit sure wasn't great. The office staff was nice (especially Mickey. Valarie was nice as well) however getting ahold of the office was the hard part. In the 3 years I lived there the gates worked for maybe a year, I watched several people sleep at the pool. There just aren't any amenities considering what you pay. The maintenance guys don't seem to know what they're doing. I spent over a month with my bathroom ceiling leaking and Adonis would tell if he couldn't see it he can't fix it. My dishwasher didn't dry so I received one that had three different rust spots. My kitchen sink REAKED of a natural gas (I didn't put food down it) and they would tell me they didn't smell anything. My AC needed Freon several times. The stairs are questionable. The dog stations take MONTHS to get refilled so the complex is covered in dog poo. Not enough parking as a whole. When it snowed, no salt was put out. A lot of the recent people that had moved in over the last year were trashy - letting their dogs poop and pee on patios, Indoor furniture outside, extremely loud. Just felt it kind of went down Move out process was good and didn't try to nickel and dime me for everything. Overall, my first year was definitely better than the last two. It's not an awful place to live if you're looking for just a place to sleep without any major amenities. Is there nicer? For sure (but not in that direct area. Seemed to be the better of the complex on Rockbrook st). But is there worse? 1000%.

I'm sharing it simply because if something unusual like this does happen, it helps to stay very on top of communication. I followed up to get answers, but my biggest concern is that someone older or someone without the time to constantly check in might have a much harder time navigating a situation like this. We lived at Limestone Ranch for about a year and a half, and overall our experience was mixed. The apartments look very nice when you move in. The renovations make them feel modern, which is one of the reasons we chose it. At the same time, the buildings are older underneath those renovations, and that led to some strange maintenance issues. For example, our kitchen sink repeatedly came apart. Our dishwasher also came out of its socket repeatedly. Maintenance was always kind and tried to fix it, but the problems kept returning. One thing that surprised us was the electricity cost. Our one bedroom rent was close to $1,700 a month, yet our electric bill sometimes exceeded $400. Even after we moved out and the apartment sat vacant for two months (which we still paid for according to the lease), the electric bill was still over $200. I'm not sure if this was the provider or the building itself, but being on the third floor likely didn't help. The amenities were decent but sometimes inconsistent. The pool is nice, but there were times we went to swim and I ended up skimming debris out myself. It was also closed for about a month last May because an inspection hadn't been completed in time. The grills by the pool rarely worked. The gym is extremely small, and if two people used the treadmills at the same time it often tripped the breaker and shut both machines off mid-workout. We also dealt with a lot of palmetto bugs in the outdoor hallways and stairwells during humid weather. I understand this can happen in Texas, but it was shocking at first since we weren't originally from the area. Some nights the stairwells were full of them, and a few did make it inside our apartment. We also had a wasp nest on our patio that made the space unusable for quite a while. After waiting weeks for maintenance, we eventually sprayed it ourselves. Packages also became an issue over time. The Luxer One locker system worked well at first, but later we often received delivery notifications only to find the packages missing. At one point the staff had to reorganize everything themselves, which was appreciated, but it happened months after some packages had already gone missing. One of the best parts of Limestone Ranch is the location. It's very close to Costco, other shopping, and the highway, and there's a canal with a walking path nearby that we enjoyed. Where things became difficult was when we had to break our lease due to relocating for work. To be fair, Limestone Ranch does offer lease break options. We spoke with Evan, the assistant manager, and chose the 60-day notice option. We confirmed everything again before submitting notice and were told February would be prorated to around $400 since the lease would end partway through the month. When February arrived, though, we were charged the full $1,700. To keep the account in good standing we had to come up with an additional $400 while the issue was being sorted out. We were then told we also owed another $1,000 because the lease break fee had not originally been charged correctly months earlier. From there, it turned into nearly a month of trying to get answers. The only time anyone reached out was to collect additional charges. Evan told me he would contact corporate and call me back, but I never heard from him again after we paid the additional fees. Both Evan and Mahogany also directed me to contact corporate myself, but when I did they seemed confused and had very little information about our situation. During this time it was also extremely difficult to reach Ebony, the property manager. Calls often went unanswered and I was not put through when I asked to speak with her. After weeks in the dark about our charges, refund, and even our security deposit, I was honestly considering contacting an attorney just to get basic clarification. Even the refund required follow-up from us. I noticed in the documentation it was listed as a check, and I had to ask whether they had the correct forwarding address because it had never been confirmed. I do want to be clear that this review is not meant to reflect negatively on Ebony. Once she became aware of what was happening, she stepped in and worked to correct the billing issue and make sure our refund was issued. She was extremely apologetic and clearly cared about making things right, which I appreciated.

Crest Manor Apartments They are disorganized and do not communicate effectively internally or externally. My move-in day was delayed because the manager didn't know I was moving in; never mind, I had been working with one of their employees for two months prior and sent all my necessary documents; coincidentally, on move-in day, all records had been "misplaced." Next,  let's discuss the many maintenance issues I've had in the short four months I've lived here. Our dishwasher wasn't spraying; a maintenance employee of Crest Manor told us that's normal because they have low water pressure and that everyone's dishwashers don't work.  Why would you advertise dishwashers as an amenity, but they're not functional? Next, we move to fix the air; again, it's currently 80 degrees in my home, and not because I like it that way. Maintenance has been in my house 5 times to repair my air and thermostat and it's still not working. It's the middle of summer in Texas and my air hasn't ran properly for more than a week. Maintenance men have zero respect for your living spaces. They make a mess once they come in, and it's up to you to clean up after them. It took them two months to fix the air conditioner, and I've only been living here for three months. They just "fixed it" seven days ago, and now it's broken again, and the furnace is leaking in my shower now. I didn't move in with roaches, but somehow, I now have roaches.  I asked a Crest Manor employee to send pest control; over 3 weeks ago. Pest control came at 5 pm and told us he couldn't spray because we would need to vacate the apartment for 4 hrs so it could air out. The was not communicated with us when pest control was requested. Crest Manor never warned us of the protocol. Now it's 3 weeks later and I still see roaches and the pest control is nowhere to be found.  I asked Maintenance to change my filter due to an increase in asthma symptoms since moving in. I watched the Maintenance employee of Crest manor pretend to change the filter and try to leave, and when I said wait, you didn't change it; he apparently couldn't speak English and left.4 months in and my filter still hasn't been changed. Now, let's move on to parking; they have paid and unpaid. But recently they significantly reduced the amount of free parking, forcing you to either park considerably further from your home and walk or pay for covered parking. If your apartment is in certain areas, you won't find parking at all unless you park on the other side of the complex. If you have an unexpected visitor that stays longer than 2 hrs their car will be towed. All gates remain unlocked so peoples cars have been broken into and stolen. Next is Crest Manor staff's overall lack of professionalism and attention to detail.  When you go into the office to speak to an employee, everyone either doesn't speak English or is completely lost, has no idea what's going on, and refuses to speak.  Lastly, they created an Amazon parcel system in which every tenant is charged $10 free. I've been here four months, and not once has Amazon delivered to this specialized parcel system for which I'm being charged. And when I asked about it, they said they couldn't force Amazon drivers to use the system. They charge tenets when they don't even have an enforceable contract with Amazon. All of my packages still come to my door, as well as my neighbor's door. This sounds and feels like theft. If you don't have laundry, don't try to do it on-site; something is always brokenAll in all, I wish I could give this place a zero. Don't waste your time touring it. I will personally help you find a better apartment complex.

It was raining - bad! I watched as the Office Staff, one by one, slowly trickled into work. At abt 8:50/8:55 am the Tornado sirens went off. I banged on the (Glass) doors time and time again to escape the sideways rain and winds (in a Tee Shirt and sweatpants) and they refused to let me in to literally take cover from a possible tornado! The last worker to arrive (a real kind lady of Asian descent), saw my predicament - dripping wet/ soaked and in need of cover - so she pulled her car underneath the awning and unlocked the Office door for me. When I asked the workers inside (who ALL saw me outside) why they wouldn't let me in during a tornado warning, they chimed that it was 8:57am when I banged on the doors and they weren't open until 9:00am. Yep, he's 3 minutes early so let's deny HIM (literally) shelter from the storm!! (Yep, I'm sure their inhumane decision had nothing to do with my race).

The elevators are spaced out pretty far and the halls are kinda staggered. One of the 4 elevators is down and has been since Friday, so 3 days. The unit itself is nice and clean and perfect for independent living. There is a small activity pool that is perfect for cooling off or some water aerobics. On each elevator is a large calendar posting activities and trash schedules. There is a small courtyard for walking and sitting. One little niche had a few bookshelves and chairs for relaxing and reading. It is outdoor but covered with a nice breeze flowing through. Overall I think this community is a welcome addition for the 55 and older crowd that are still active.

The two saving graces were that 1) we only had to be here 3 months while our house was finishing construction and 2) the maintenance team was very responsive. Hence the 1 star. 1. This building must be 100 years old. It is so outdated and it shows. 2. Maintenance. Upon moving in (literally the moment we walked in) the master bathroom had a leak. We had to call maintenance, who came that evening and fixed it but not before stepping in our bathtub with his dirty shoes and leaving the mess behind. Every other week our sink or bathtub was clogged. Within one week, we had light bulbs go out. Not to mention the beds that detached from the headboards. Let's not even talk about the safety hazard this poses with two young kids. 3. Pests. We found a freaking LIZARD one day. We had so many flies that it felt like they were manifesting out of nowhere. Then we had spiders. And keep in mind, we are CLEAN people. Like very clean, so this wasn't due to our living style. Upon moving in the first thing we noticed were two nests of some type right outside our apartment door. One appeared to be a termites nest. So these pests were all living outside our apartment and probably scurried in any opportunity they got. 4. Kitchen Utensils. There is absolutely no way the utensils were from anywhere but the dollar store. I'm not exactly expecting KitchenAid utensils but I'm paying $146/day, which comes out to almost $5K PER MONTH. So yes I do expect something better than the dollar store. See picture of pizza cutter that broke the first time we used it. 5. Cleanliness. The apartment appeared fairly clean when we moved in. When we moved a bed there was even a little sign under the bed that said "yes we clean under here too!" And then in the family room we lifted up the rug and it was a dust fest under there. See pictures. So gross. 6. Neighbors. This is the kind of place where people literally have nothing better to do than complain because your trash can wasn't inside your apartment before 9 am. So there's that. I would never live here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone.
