Breezy Point has the charm so much of the area has lost. The overall ambience is a mix of 70's, 80's and today, and that's most definitely one of the keys to their success. If you have fond memories of the Lakes past humble and fun persona, they'll be rekindled here for sure. Even so, everything is kept very very clean and comfortable. We had a chance to talk to Teresa, the owner and the Diana from housekeeping. Both of them were very friendly and helpful, and they confirmed what appeared to be the case: the place is neat as a pin under the close observation of Pat, Teresa's husband. The attention to detail is evident. We didn't see any of the bugs or spiderwebs that have always - at least for me - been part of the Lake experience. Every corner of this property is ship-shape and updated as needed, from the Weber grills without a scratch to the very comfortable beds. I'm so glad we found this place and I predict we'll be regulars.

We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor water slides, something you won't find hardly ever. We played putt putt golf after. The entire perimeter of the property is dedicated to fun activities for kids. You can tell it is family owned and they take pride in it. From the fully stocked pool towels, the spotless rooms, the clean fresh scent everywhere, and the well maintained facilities and amenities - nothing here has been allowed to slide. Everything is open longer than other hotels, the service is fast and friendly, outside is well lit and spotless. Chain hotels around here charge more, and offer much less. I highly recommend!

But later that day after checking out they called me to inform me they were charging me an extra $50 cleaning fee because the room had been smoked in. I debate this with the woman because I'm a nonsmoker. She told me that they found and ash. So I asked if she would send me a photo of said ash? At that point the room had already been cleaned so she could not. And at that point they already had my card and knew there was nothing I could do. Seems like a nice little legal scam they got going on for the off season to help keep the lights on. I'm betting they do that to every one night guest that comes through. So Hickory County.

I would have given this place a good review but the staff on Friday were absolutely horrible…read more When we booked the room in January they had an aarp discount, I booked it (hotel doesn't hold a cc or run it until you get wet there.) I was not given the discounted rate at check in. I was told they didn't have that rate and the website was updated. I didn't have the email saved to prove otherwise. My uncle had a screen shot of his discounted rate so they gave him his rate. We came in early, our room wasn't ready so they put us in a different room upstairs. We were in there for an hour and a half with the ac at 60 and it wouldn't cool down. The fridge wasn't plugged in and it takes 24 hours for it to get up to temp so we couldn't store milk in it. My family had rented 4-5 rooms total and the conference room so I put our cold stuff in the fridge in the conference room. I went downstairs and asked if I could get my dad's keys to make sure his ac was on and fridge plugged in. The ladies weren't friendly about it but gave me the key and let me know I was to bring it right back. A little bit later I went down to switch rooms as our ac obviously wasn't working and the lady seemed irritated about it. She went to talk to the younger lady who worked there and came back and let me know she didn't want to clean another room. I let her know I didn't want to stay in a room without ac. She finally gave me the keys for the other room, but the whole conversation was just absurd, no customer service skills at all. As we're switching rooms I can hear her being nice and laughing in cionvo to my husband, but all her interactions with me were just rude or cold. I let my family know to check that their acs work and fridges were plugged in but decided against telling them about the attitude figuring it was a one off off. My cousin's family gets in and asked to make sure they had a room with a good ac and the woman says "how am I supposed to know" with a bunch of attitude. My cousin sends us all a message about the rude lady. We felt lots of negativity Friday night and Saturday. They came in to replace the ac on Saturday after my complaint. The Saturday night lady was very friendly, but the others were not.

The kitchen was fully stocked bathrooms were very clean and beds were pretty comfortable. The resort was maintained very well and had a lot of docks To fish around. They also had plenty of slips to store your boat. They also had a nice gravel lot for trailer storage. They also had a clubhouse for the weight in and after tournament Buffet. Great place to stay at Lake of the Ozarks at around mile marker nine.

We found Gasconade Hills Resort on the RVLife app. We pulled up at about 5:15 PM and called the phone listed. James showed up within a couple of minutes to check us in. We did not have prior reservations so we were able to drive around to pick a spot we preferred. We set up quickly and were able to enjoy the very clean, nice size pool. The bathrooms at the pool were also very clean. Afterwards, we decided to order pizza and although it was very close to closing time, James took our order and delivered to our camping site. WE LOVED IT HERE! Can't say enough good things about it. Wish we had time to do the river floats. We are already planning to come back and stay for a few days.

Beds are full size cots, which are uncomfortable but is in line with the camping experience. Went on the 6 mile float trip, our first time doing a canoe & taking our dog. Very relaxing river, only had 1 dicey moment with some tree branches. Saw bald eagle nests, & a bald eagle fishing in the river right in front of us. Met great people on our trip, great convos. We had lunch on a rocky beach. The beavers running around the property were funny to watch. Had a great time, very relaxing. Highly recommend, would come back.

We have traveled across the country and this was then worst camp we have ever been to, we won't be back, would have been better if we just pulled into a truck stop on I-70. In addition to the outdoor area, there's an indoor pool with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. They also have indoor pickleball and tennis courts, as well as an outdoor playground and a basketball court. The biggest letdown was the gym and weight area. It has no usable free weights--just a few treadmills and a pull-up bar--which is an area that could definitely use improvement. That said, with the variety of facilities on the property and the affordable, nearby condos, this was still a really cool spot overall. I will be returning!

The Knolls is situated on a hillside giving the individual condo units beautiful lake views. There is even main channel lake views from the tennis and basketball courts. Individual Condo Units can be rented through the property owners directly, VBRO, Home Away, or through the Knolls main office. I highly recommend contacting property owners (like Alison N.) directly or using Home Away or VBRO. I have stayed at the Knolls many times and each time I enjoy myself more and more.
