Complete scam - we waited over 2 hours to get to the parking lot for our $94/person time slot and they told us they closed the parking lot and we couldn't come in and we would need to drive around until it reopened even though we had paid for all of our tickets. The parking lot was only half full by the way. When we called to be refunded for the service we were refused, they declined stating it was nonrefundable. How can you charge someone and not allow them to use the service and then refuse to refund? It took weeks of back and forth until we were finally refunded. Ok, so we ended up having a good time here but there's a few things I really must get out of the way first. People must learn not to put their double tubes sideways on the belt. Please be careful. I saw someone literally get stuck under their tube because for some reason they decided to sit on the belt and turn their tube sideways. No, don't do that. Period. Maybe staff need to look out for people attempting to do that or just as soon as the new group gets out on the slope for their 2 hour slot give a little shout out of the rules. My kids did not really want to go on the slope at first. Once they tried it a few times they got used to it and started having fun. The rest area was really nice too. This was frustrating bc my kids and family were scattered bc of the Malay we just experienced . Once we made it to the top we waited 45 minutes to go down. They only let one controlled group go at a time. This was extremely annoying. They waited for both sides of tubers to clear the hill before letting us go. There was a escalator between both sides yet we couldn't go at the same time. there was time when everything was completely clear and we still couldn't go down.. people were yelling and complaining continuously. To make our time in December feel more like the Holiday season, we planned to go snow tubing! Camelback is about 1.5 hours from Manhattan. We rented a car and made our way there. The drive did not seem long at all, and before we knew it, we could see the white mountain (skiing), and as we got closer, the parking lot for the park. As soon as you go through the entrance tunnel you can see the snow tubing area. I was excited!! It's been about 10 years or more since the first (and only time) I've done this and this and I felt like a kid. We walked around the lodge where we found some waivers to sign, and with this went to the windows to pay. Adults are $35 and that gives you a session of 3 hours. These are marked on your ticket, which you display on your coat, making this organized and controlling the amount of people sliding at a time, and keeping lines moving without long waits. We got there just in time to make the 1pm session. They held us until all the expired sessions walked out and let us in, to pick our tubes and go up the moving walkway to get to the tubing mountain. There are about 8 lanes on each side of the mountain. It seemed like one side was for kids, and the other for older kids and up. You can go down sitting down, laying down, or tandem. They make everyone get set on top of the mountain and wait until the last person that went down is off the "track". They are very insistent on this to avoid accidents. As I mentioned the lines are not long so in no time it was our turn to go. First time we went sitting down and I could not contain my giggles. You go so fast, the wind hitting you hard, and seeing everyone else either pass you or be behind you also with a big grin on their faces. This is such a "feel good" activity. There is no way you don't go back to being a kid and enjoying this fully. My boyfriend's inner kid came out a bit more and started throwing snowballs, and do as if he was flying on the tube when sliding down. It seemed fun so I laid belly down too, going even faster than when seating down, seeing the snow almost touching your face. We kept going up and down the mountain for 2 hours, not getting tired at all but our feet were hurting from the cold so we decided to do one more sled and call it a day. Once down at the lodge again, we sat by the fire pit, warming ourselves up with some hot cocoa we got from their concession window (they also had churros, hot dogs, fries, sodas and more). We were there for a bit, finished our cocoa and, with big smiles on our faces, we went back to our car to make the drive back. What a fun day this was!! read more

This is one of the best snow tubing experiences in the Poconos! While it is quite pricey at $25 (Mon-Fri) - $30 (Sat-Sun, holidays) for 2-hours, the hill is a ton of fun. The run is a decent length and you do pick up, but not so fast that a child couldn't ride by themselves. Camelback also offers singles & doubles tubes, so you can ride by yourself or with a partner. There are nine, 2-hour session available throughout the day. The 16 lanes on the hill helps with the lines, but you still want to arrive early to get your monies worth. The lines become outrageously long as the day progresses! Pro tip: If your visiting Massanutten for snow tubing during the weekends or the holidays, buy your tickets for the 9am-11am session ($30). Our group of 18 purchased snowtubing tickets for 2/14/21 for $70 per person totalling $1,260. Mind you, last year, it was half the price for the same weekend. We figured it's the era of covid so Camelback must be restricting the number of people for each 2 hour slot for everyone's safety and enjoyment and must have had to raise the ticket prices to offset the cost. Less people? GREAT. Safety. GREAT. Sure, I guess we'll pay for that privilege. HOWEVER, when we got to the snowtubing slope that day, there were MORE people and it was significantly more crowded than what I remembered from the previous year. And it took an average of 45-55 minutes from going up the beltway to waiting for each person's turn to then finally being able to go down the slope. Most of us in the group of 18 went down a mere TWICE due to the long wait and huge crowd in the 2 hour slot we were allotted, which means, each turn down the slope cost us $35. UNACCEPTABLE. Not only did we NOT feel safe due to the sheer number of people Camelback chose to sell tickets to in disregard to pandemic guidelines, the wait was unacceptably long and it was not the fun Camelback snowtubing promised, especially for our children who had to have to wait and wait and wait in amongst an unacceptably large crowd of people just to go down a hill twice in two hours. The kicker is, I emailed Camelback customer service on 3/3/21 to detail our dismal experience and to request a partial or full refund and with the extended and unnecessary back and forth of FOURTEEN EMAILS with the "guest services supervisor" for a month and a half (she wouldn't email me back unless I repeatedly followed up) I was told there's nothing they can do except give us tickets for next year. Ummmm, thanks but NO THANKS, we have NO intentions of ever going back to Camelback for snow tubing OR snowboarding, especially after being shown an ultimate lack of regard and respect for the customer. We have been to Camelback before but this latest trip will be out last. They are now charging $10 to PARK. This is a joke after spending $60 a person to tube for 2 hours. We had 1:00pm passes but they held us in the ticket area till 1:00. This meant we didn't get tubes, on the lift, and get our first run till 1:30. A quarter of our time was wasted. The place was over packed. Forget any COVID concerns, they had too many people for the capacity they have. During our two hours (weekday afternoon), we generally had to wait behind 5-6 people for each ride. Overall we got about 7 rides in two hours, a complete waste of time. My hubby and I came during a freezing (read -19 degree) weather weekend and still managed to have a blast. You can read from all the other reviews that you get 90 minutes for $30, I will tell you some survival tips. Top 10 things to prepare: 1. Wear double socks - and even thne, your toes will probably freeze. 2. Bring good gloves - if not ones there will be $30 3. Wear double sweats (if you are ghetto like me) or ski gear to avoid frost bite. 4. Wear shoes with grip, prefarable boots, I survived with sneakers, not one fall. 5. Go somewhere else! This company has awful management, customer service, and COVID policies. We wanted to go tubing, but you have to purchase your tickets days in advance to get a slot to tube. We purchased 4 $70 tickets (other sites in the area tube for $30), for a total of $280. Between the time that we purchased them and the day we were to use them, we were exposed to the COVID virus. We tried to get a refund 48 hours after purchasing them. We were told that it was their POLICY not to give refunds for ANY reason, including COVID exposures. They canceled our tickets and kept our money. When they canceled our tickets it prohibits me from selling them to anyone else, or giving them away. SO...you can assume that there are people on site with COVID simply because they can't get refunds from the company. Do not support this company. Shame on them. read more

It was one of the best decisions of my life to snow- tube at the Camelback resort. It was just wow !!! I loved the way they have organised the whole winter-games ecosystem out there. Skiing and some other activities require you to be at the top of the resort. ( You will realize what I mean by this when you visit ) while activities like snow tubing require you to be at the bottom. So park accordingly to avoid walking up the slope. Also, they have regular shuttles to the snow tubing area from the top, if you accidentally parked at the top of the resort. Snow tubing area has 2 major divisions. Each division has around 10 or so lanes. Each lane can have only 1 to 8 people sliding together at a time. Sliding is allowed for 3 hours at a stretch for 35 dollars, each person. it's up to you to decide as how many times you want to slide. I did get a chance to slide 7 times in 2 hours and 30 minutes. I got tired after that. Once you are done, you can just move out of the sliding area and immediately enjoy some coffee and waffles and fries at the joints nearby. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and a fun day. For those of you who are worried about safety, believe me, it is a relatively safer sport. Skiing sounds and is more dangerous for newbies. read more

When we got there, we had to wait in line for a half hour because their machines were broken, and that only gave us 90 minutes to tube. If you are looking for only snow tubing nothing else, Camelback is the place for your kid and your family. I strongly suggest you to buy your tickets online. If you don't you may need to wait up to 2 hours for your turn. Problem is there is nothing to do there to kill time. There are food and coffee option. I have to say Camelback is a great experience. Full of fun on tubes. I went with my family and some friends up for the day. There's parking right when you enter and it's a short walk to getting into the actual park. There are places to eat on the immediate left and a space with high top tables and high chairs. It's good for warmth while you wait. Inside of that space there's an upstairs area which is good if you want to wait away from the crowds. And it does get crowded. There are bathrooms on the main floor with about 6 stalls and a changing table for babies. When you arrive you are assigned a time for your tuBing. It's 3 hours and $35 on the weekend. You have your time on a small slip and you can get on line to make your purchase 30 minutes before the assigned time. The process could have been a bit clearer. We had to ask a few people about what to do. You can rent a locker for $15 initially and a refund of $10 when you return your key. Well worth it as bags are not permitted during tubing. There are two main slopes on the property for tubing. One side has one and two person tubes. The other side appeared higher and allowed for chains to be made with single tubes connected together. We had one child who was small so she received a smiley face marking on her tag for her coat in order to show that she needed to tube with someone else. There's a conveyor belt to go up to the top to tube down. It was a little shaky but overall ok. The handle bars would have been helpful to be closer to you as you go up but there was someone at the bottom and the top to lend a hand. Once at the top there were about 10 lines to choose from to tube down. There were photographers to take photos too. Going down was smooth. Some bumps of ice but that's to be expected. Once you are at the bottom it's advisable to get out of the way as soon as possible so other people at the top can go. All lanes have to be clear for the next people to be sent down. Once your time is up your asked to stop tubing and the next group of people are permitted in so people are staggered in. It got crowded towards dusk. At night there's music and lights. The hot chocolate was delicious and warm. The churro was a great snack. The fire pits were a nice touch as well. I took away one star because the seating inside could have been better. Small children had to balance on tall stools which was challenging. I will definitely be back! read more

I've been coming to camelback since my children were 10 years old. I've seen alot of changes. I treated my grandchildren and their girlfriends to an afternoon of tubing. My plan was to relax in a lodge setting and watch the fun. It was pretty miserable, no indoor space. Ice cold metal benches near 6 small gas firepits.The 6 tabletop firepits only 2 were working.
