I ordered a 4, and the ring we received was a full size too large. When we brought it in to resize, it seemed fine for about a week before the baguettes became noticeably loose. A second, independent jeweler examined the ring and told us plainly that the platinum band needed to be fully recast, because the resizing work itself had compromised the ring's structural integrity. We brought it back to DDUSA, who recast the ring. Weeks later, once we got it back, we took it to yet another independent jeweler for an unbiased opinion, and one of the baguettes was already loose again. After three separate attempts, DDUSA has been unable to deliver a structurally sound ring. I can neither give nor recommend any business to DDUSA.

Not only has the plaza in which this business is based become exceedingly sketchy…read morein the last few years -- I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing anything north of a Swatch for service absent a firearm in my presence -- but the business itself engages in practices that, IMO, represent HUGE red flags in the watch collection & repair community. What do I mean? After an agreement for service was reached, they texted me asking for a 50% deposit, before they would attempt to repair my watch. As someone who has been collecting watches of every stripe, including high-end Rolexes for decades, I can tell you that anyone who attempts to change the terms of service after an agreement has been reached is ALWAYS attempting to take advantage of you. That goes double for someone asking for a 50% up front. (One should pay anywhere from 10% to an ABSOLUTE MAXIUM of 25% -- and that is for a very high-end watch.) Beware of scams.

I have a bracelet from my great grandmother that I wanted repaired for my wedding day and the sales lady was not very kind and kept telling me the clasp was broken...that's why I was there, she said she didn't think it was gold so not repairable and continued to force the break on the bracelet not even attempting to be gentle. She wouldn't even get the Jewlers opinion on it. Everything is fixable, I'm just sad that my piece wasn't valuable enough for them to even take a look at it. Note to sales team: be kind to people and don't make assumptions, I would have paid anything for this to be repaired, take a pause and let the jewler look at things that you are not an expert on. We will be doing our future shopping elsewhere where they are kind all the time not just trying to get a sale. I should clarify, all interactions with the jewler in the past have been great but he is responsible for his sales people, they need to know when it's beyond their expertise.
