The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and told us of the options we had (we could buy a new memory card or they could put all the photos we had taken on to a disc). Both options however were really quite pricey. We gave it a miss and went elsewhere! If you need something urgently and dont mind paying extra then this place is great. If however you are able to wait to get to a large chain store (where things are bound to be cheaper) then wait. Kind of sad when you have to rely on big shops for good prices. :(

Second time I've ordered glasses from them. And I'm happy to be back. Their prices are competitive with a nice discount on a second pair. Only issue is that they don't take insurance which seems to be the way almost every optical shop works now. I like this family so much that I don't care if I have to submit the charges directly to my insurance.

Nice to have a store in Santa Fe so I don't need to have items shipped from Rio Grande!" HOWEVER, none of the items are priced so an employee needs to type in every single code to answer any questions you have. It's not fast and the employee really seemed to be annoyed. Seems like you could just put prices on your items that don't change with market prices. A lot of items they have on display are not in stock and it will take 30 minutes for them to discover their inventory, at which point point you will be stuck in their process of getting items from their back room. In my case I had my entire list made up and then after cutting all the metal they told me they don't have the tools I needed. They had all of the soldering boards on display, I asked about a 6x12, then was brought out a 12x12 at just twice the price, to whiz I had to say, "no, you can't just upsell me like that." The 6x6? Also out of stock. Pay more or too bad. They have the items in the case but they will not sell "their display." That's incredibly frustrating to have the tool I am attempting to purchase directly in front of me, in fact it IS in stock, but apparently those tools will never have their purpose fulfilled and are purely for display. To me, it seems like POS sales management have been around quite a while now. I'm just left with the offer of an item they don't have and the suggestion that I order it, leaving me in a lurch but already on the hook to buy the silver. I see from other reviews that their website also does not correlate with their actual stock, which is incredibly frustrating to be offered goods that in reality need to be purchased elsewhere. That's a greedy middle man move. Just don't offer what you don't have to sell. It took 5 minutes to go through the cases and request my items, 45 min later I'm still sitting here, receiving a list of things they won't sell to me. Finally checked out, price seemed high, checked my receipt and the pliers I was told were 16 are $50 so now I'm waiting in line again. Apparently you should budget an entire day here. So all in all there were 4 items that they had in the case but not stocked, wasting both their employee's and my time. I take it back, order from RIO. It's almost literally faster to have stuff shipped to you than to go to this store, you'll end up ordering stuff anyway. Lame sauce.

I had a very disappointing experience at Ojo Optique…read more I purchased my glasses there less than two years ago. This week, I brought them in for a simple adjustment. The glasses were in excellent condition when I arrived, and a staff member even commented on how well they had been cared for. During the adjustment, the store manager used pliers on the nose piece, and it broke off while in his hands. I was then told the nose piece is soldered to the frame, that it could not be repaired, and that I was essentially out of luck. No warning was given beforehand about any risk of breakage. And, no liability waiver was presented. No offer of assistance was provided. After contacting ownership, the only resolution offered was to replace the front piece at half price ($130). Since the damage occurred during an in-store adjustment, I expected the business to stand behind its work and replace the frame. I understand that accidents happen, but how a business responds matters. I was disappointed that full responsibility was not taken for damage that occurred while the glasses were in their care. This is a local shop with very high prices, they should provide better customer service!

The owner was sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. She found all three movies we were looking for and we have a week to return them. Any town would be lucky to have a resource like Video Library.
