Theres a nice big playground here. I'd say it's more for older kids, my 3 year old was playing there and the steps were too high and he tripped and fell. When he landed he fell on top of a pocket knife someone left behind. Luckily it was closed but I did find it concerning that there was a pocket knife at the top of the playground. read more

Went to book my sons birthday party there and everything went so smoothly. The employees were super friendly and informative. They allow jumpers for and extra cost as long as it is insured. They allow taco caters etc which most parks don't. read more

Incompetent and rude staff, poorly maintained gym, and city workers who can't be impartial for kids programs. Do not go there, city of Covina, Glendora, and La puente have better rec league basketball program for kids. read more

I rented the hall for a birthday party in July. I paid cash. The hall did not include the tables and chairs, not enough time to set up. It is November 2023, and I have not received my deposit. They said 6 to 8 weeks, it's been months the and they always have an excuse. They told me the check went out, and it processing it will be out next week. And know I get an email saying my deposit of $300 will be on $222.00 due to last-minute charges added. This is bs. I'm so disappointed with this center. read more

This place has not been keeping up with their maintenance... we have rented this place every monday night for basketball for the past 8 years at least! First the electronic score board has been out of commission for the past 6 months minimum and we are still being charged full rate. Now the main basketball court we using has no basketball ring because someone broke it , its been more than 10 days now and they cant even attached one basketball rim????? Wonder whats next to go??!! read more

It's one of the nicer city park recreational centers I have been to. I've been taking my daughter here for the "Rip n' Ties" gymnastics and West Covina tiger cheerleading teams. The center is spacious and the Rec. center folk are very helpful. This center is a hub of community activities in the city of West Covina. They have various seasonal activities such as "Breakfast with Santa". Over a nice park. I probably would shy from taking children to play area outside too late. During the mid afternoon during school year the center is busy with teens and Tweens from The local schools especially West Covina high right across the street. When you are looking for swimming lessons this is not the place you need to register, it's at Municipal pool a few streets down. I made that mistake before. read more

I was told that I was able to book a date for a party and to come in and just pay a security deposit. And I've booked many parties here before the pandemic. When I came in person they tell me that that's not the way it works and I have to fill out a separate application and they'll call you and let you know if you can have that date. They also said that with the rental they would have the youth basketball leave coming in and out the entire time which is ridiculous for a private party. I'm so irritated and disappointed because the whole point of calling ahead before I come is to make sure I have everything I need to book the reservation. And I spoke to two different employees and for some reason they changed when I came in person. So annoying and a waste of my time! read more

This review is in regards to events in the multi purpose room. To rent out a room for an event, the price is reasonable. It's about $100/hr. But that's just for the room alone. This place will nickle & dime you for every single thing. So watch for that. They charge for chairs, tables, kitchen use, kitchen storage, outdoor patio use, and if you want extended setup time. The list goes on. The setup time is bullshit too. Only 30 minutes?! (rolling eyes) I can't even. We'll see about the day of the event. Crossing fingers. read more

This recreational center is just a part of the park. Cameron Park is right across the street from West Covina High School. The park is relatively square and small. It includes a softball field, a newly built jungle gym (as of April 22, 2016), and the Rec center. The Rec center looks super nice and has a great atmosphere. They have a basketball gym, ballet room (used for events), arcade. However, their table tennis and billiards are sad; they're worn out/missing stuff. We had to improvise on the missing cue ball and uneven numbering of stripes/solids/8-ball. I play baseball here on the one softball field with friends once in a while. The field is really nice. The grass is even and not filled with crabgrass nor dead spots. Unless you're upper collegiate level or better, you shouldn't be able to hit baseballs into the kids' jungle gym, because the home base is far enough. Nice park. I'll return, because it helps brings friends over. read more

A nice little park located in West Covina across from West Covina high school. They have covered picnic table areas to eat and a playground as well as open fields. A good place to have a family gathering. read more

The playground is 5-12 , but my toddlers had lots of fun on it! They have this awesome swing it's a infant/toddler swing but you can also sit on it and swing with your child! The playground is based off a little ship , it's very cute! They have this part of the (ship) that seats six and it can rock back and fourth like a little ship lol! It has a lot of seating and benches , a water fountain that looked kind of dirty and the water didn't come out to much. I didn't get to check out the Rec center , but the park was nice and close by! It's near a elementary and a high school. Overall it was clean , the kids had fun I would come here again! read more

Playing Basketball here is super chill and fun. The people are cool and very nice. The woman's bathroom is clean for a public restroom. They have a lot going on here! Happy I have a place to play ball with friends. read more

My family and I went in for our passport appointment and this hispanic lady who helped us out was the opposite of good customer service. She was very passive aggressive, condescending, and rude. My mom and my younger sisters were there following what she was asking of us and she snappy and was bothered with our presence it seemed like. She was not helpful AT ALL. She ended up stopping the process because we had forgot the checkbook. She was annoyed that we filled out some last minute stuff on the application because we wanted clarification on some areas and she said make sure everything is filled out next time while rolling her eyes. When we asked her if she can look over a paper to make sure everything is filled out and good for next time she was not having it! She was complaining telling us to do it ourselves and how we had to leave and there were lots of appointments after us when our appointment was not even over and the place was EMPTY. She genuinely did not care about helping us, if that's the case why work at a place for the community? Overall terrible experience. I would not recommend going here to get your passports done. read more

Great facilities, awesome classes for children and all set in a very beautiful park. Basketball courts, gymnastics, pool tables, video games and much more. read more

The staff in this center need to learn a thing or two about costumer service and dealing with people. Let me specify special need individuals specifically. A lot of skills coaches come here with their clients and instead of them assuming we want to hang around their lobby just because some of our clients can't handle a class setting and we have to stick with a partner, so we have no choice but to be there. Instead of trying to bark orders try and figure out how you can make it more comfortable for us and our clients. Stop sitting behind your desk judging. Allow us to handle our clients on our own. Some clients need extra redirecting so stay in your place as the desk help and allow the coach to do their job. I hate coming to the center, but unfortunately when it rains we are sent here. But i avoid it at all cost even when i'm not working. read more

Let me start by saying the rec center itself was very enjoyable my low score is based on the "policies" of the center. I was misinformed about their deposit procedures and now they are making it quite difficult on me to get my deposit back. If you book your event through this establishment make sure they actually process your refund. Because I am a college student with a shallow bank account I noticed the missing money others might not (especially because you have to wait 30 days for processing). I've been waiting almost 6 weeks and it was only after my inquiry earlier this week that they even began the process. Such a shame read more

This a great place. The park is spacious with a play ground, places for bbq, and a lush green lawn. The center it self is very clean with an inside basketball court, full kitchen, and a mirrored dance room. There is also arcade game, big screen tv, and pool tables. The facility is very clean and the staff are professional. This place is great for families read more
