I've been here many times precovid. I used to run in a Saturday basketball league that was hosted here. This review is based on my most recent experience during covid. I came here on a Tuesday night; I have a couple friends that rent out a court for two hours. It's nice to have basketball court finally open to play! However, it does come with a price. You have to pay to get into the facility and you also have to pay for the two-hour rental. Even though it's only once a week, that still adds up to about $50/mo depending on how many players go per week and what type of membership you pay for. FYI - if you're conscious about Covid, you might not want to play here. Wearing a mask is not enforced and there could be a lot of people in the warehouse at any given time.

I discovered this wonderful training facility for my two boys. They staff is extremely patient as well as productive with different drills they work on. The gym is very large and they have three full length courts. I've been bringing my son's here for a few months and I would highly recommend this place to others. I can see my boys development and their appreciation for the game they love.

No slip and sliding in here.

This place is very similar to the HAX that used to be in the Hawthorne Airport back in the day, and the MAPS Facility in Garden Grove. It's a large warehouse with multiple basketball courts inside that is used for larger tournaments, private workouts and are available for rent by us common folks. What I like about this particular location is that you have to download the Prime Time Basketball app to access the facility. Through the app you can pay for a 3 day pass, memberships and an array of services. It is a simple way to keep track of all that the facility offers. Lastly, the staff was helpful (some people apparently didn't know how to download an app and register)and the facility was clean with hand sanitizers located throughout. La Puente is quite a distance from me but I can see myself coming back from time to time. I enjoyed myself and was able to get some great cardio last night.

This is an amazing basketball gym located in Hacienda Heights. There are three courts, lots of lighting, and huge fans for ventilation. Good amount of parking but there's also street parking if the lots are full. The owner is such a nice guy and takes time to answer any questions. My favorite thing about this gym is how clean it is! Lots of kids classes/leagues to choose from and the coaches do a great job!!

This private basketball court is tucked away in the La Puente area of Los Angeles (west Covina, Pomona, etc. our neighboring cities). I came here because it wasn't invite only invitation to play basketball. This tends to happen right around major holidays a lot of guys from the local LA basketball scene will come here to hoop together. They have three huge Fulquartz that have floors that are very well-maintained, clean, and provide awesome grip. There's plenty of seating for those people who are not playing and they're there to watch and/or show support. There is also a small area of weights here and a lounge area with a large TV also. It's the type of Jim that you wish you had in your backyard because you could play ball and you could relax and watch TV with your friends. All in all this is an excellent basketball gym and I am definitely looking forward to coming back again.

Ask the Community - Prime Time Basketball Association

Where is the skills training schedule? I have a child, looking for beginning classes.

On the app, select a skills training level, e. g., 101 and then the open slots will appear

Do we have to be a member to play 1 on 1 on the courts?

Yes, anyone who wants to enter their gyms needs a membership.

Are there any open court time?

Yes, they have many open gym hours. You need to check their calendar on the app (maybe on their website if you don't have the app but I would use the app after you create a free account).

Can we rant the court for hours this afternoon, is it available for ranting?

You can't rant, but definitely rent.

When I enrolled my child in the Parent and Me class, I specifically asked whether both parents could attend. I was clearly told yes. I was also informed the class would be held at the playground. When we arrived at the playground, no one was there. I had to call to find out the class was actually being held inside. After going inside, the instructor informed us that only one parent was allowed to attend. Roxanna then referenced the flyer and stated that "Parent and Me" meant only one parent, insinuating that I misunderstood or could not read it correctly. I have attended many Mommy and Me and Parent and Me classes in the past, and when only one parent is allowed, it is clearly specified on the flyer. This flyer did not state that limitation. She then told me that I should have contacted Tiny Tots directly for information rather than relying on the front desk. This was my first time visiting this park. There was no way for me to know that the information provided by staff was incorrect or that it was my responsibility to verify it elsewhere. The conflicting information, poor communication, and dismissive attitude made this a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope staff receive better training so families are given accurate information and treated respectfully.

I was very offended. This call was made today 6/9 at 5:30 so I don't know who is answering the phone. It was a young gentleman, but to make an assumption That I could not afford something is not for him to decide. His responsibility was to give the information that I was inquiring about at least, allow me to explain what I was looking for and what organization it was for. Not only do I run a nonprofit, I'm a property owner in Hacienda Heights, community member and I think that was so insulting. I thanked him for his service and told him I could no longer further the conversation. I said my goodbye so I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. They're not interested in helping a community if they can insult and turn someone away without even knowing who they are and what their needs are. With everything going on in the world and in our own state, we need to be respectful to our community members. The reason I reached out was before I gave my money to another business outside my community. I thought I should inquire within my community because it would be most beneficial to give back to the community I am from. Whoever this young man is, I highly recommend that he does not answer the phone or do any type of customer service. He is rude and offensive.

It's the perfect quick escape -- close enough…read moreto civilization for convenience, yet far enough to leave the hustle and bustle of traffic and city life behind. Right now the cherry blossoms are in full, breathtaking bloom, turning parts of the park into a dreamy pink wonderland. The wildlife is thriving too: squirrels galore that are so bold they'll walk right up to your feet if you sit still and stay calm. On warmer days I've spotted rattlesnakes scurrying across the trails, so I always recommend staying in the middle of the paths as a safety precaution. From the main entrance at Colima Road, you can choose the paved walkway or head straight for the dirt trails depending on your mood. I usually make my way toward the horse stables and equestrian area -- watching the horses get fed or running around their enclosures is one of my favorite parts. Just be mindful of the occasional big mounds of horse droppings on the trails; it's a small price to pay for the beauty. The park is generally very clean, with plenty of trash cans scattered throughout. There are numerous benches, picnic areas, fire pits perfect for groups, a children's playground, and even a seasonal creek with several charming wooden bridges crossing directly over it (though the water is pretty dry now that the rainy season is over). You'll also notice signs posted along the trails warning about bobcats and mountain lions. I've been coming here regularly for six months and haven't heard or seen any myself, but I've seen quite a few hikers carrying pepper spray as a precaution. Just be safe out there. Weekends get busy with families celebrating birthdays and enjoying the outdoors, but it's all part of the lively atmosphere. For dog lovers, there are two fantastic off-leash dog parks right near the front entrance -- one for large dogs and one for medium/small dogs. Outside of those areas, dogs must be on leash per the signs. The hilltop trails offer absolutely stunning panoramic views that make every visit worthwhile. My only heads-up: the park is officially closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (per LA County rules), but a lot of locals park across the street at the nearby mall and walk in through the gates anyway. If you're in the Rowland Heights/Hacienda Heights area and looking for a beautiful regional park with trails, nature, horses, cherry blossoms, and those lovely wooden bridges over the creek, I highly recommend Schabarum. Just bring water, wear good shoes, keep an eye out for those snakes in the summer, and stay aware on the trails! 5/5 -- I'll definitely be back soon.
