I appreciate this facility because it houses the women's league I play in. The staff is nice and you can tell the community uses this place a lot. I am a casual basketball player that mainly shoots around at outdoor courts and will play pick-up games about once a week at-most (typically once a month). I was looking for an indoor court that wasn't too expensive and near the Hacienda Heights area so I thought this fit the bill. The reason for my 3 star review is based on the value/cost of this gym. I paid $48 for an annual membership but was told there's an additional $3 fee each time I come for the 'open gym' just to shoot around. I asked if there was another sort of "Annual pass" to save on this $3 fee but was told that the management is working on something like this. The closest thing they had to offer was a 10-pack of open gym passes for $27. A whopping $3 savings - I guess it's better than nothing but seems like a waste of effort in marketing something with such a small discount to customers. So I've only attended one open gym so far, I'm $75 in the hole and to add insult to injury, the actual courts are pretty dusty and, like other reviews mentioned, there are several dead spots (at least on the middle court where I played). I've played at the Hawaiian Gardens (Robert Lee Rec center) gym where it's only $50 for an annual membership (no additional fees) and the floors are much cleaner and the overall condition of the gym/courts is better so I feel like I'm being ripped off. I'll continue coming here (for the remaining 9 passes I have), hoping to find some open runs and maybe cleaner courts. But for my first impression of this place (just for open gym - can't speak to other programs here), this felt like a big letdown and I would advise management to prioritize cleaning the floors more often (I saw at least one custodian emptying fairly empty trash cans. I feel like their time would be better invested in a simple wiping of the floor - 15 minutes tops per court). read more

My son was bullied on his elementary school basketball team. You'd think that the players would be cool to each other, but no. Even the coach told me he has never seen such a bunch of haters to each other on the same team. As such, we wanted him to have a positive environment in which to not only learn skills, but also meet quality players who just love the sport. My 10 year old is on the short side, but he is not wanting for enthusiasm, tenacity and love of the game. He had a skills assessment and his coach told him he was level 102, intermediate. We've been coming now for 3 months and both my son and I love it here. We bought 4 weekly sessions for $80.00 or $20.00 per session. My son has improved his handles and is more agressive both on offense and D. He's not afraid to dribble and drive in traffic or reach for an offensive board in the paint. Both my wife and I have seen a marked improvement in his game and his demeanor. He really loves the sport and playing with kids who do also and are not bullies makes him want to come here more often. I love that on certain days we can do a shoot around when the other courts are empty. Having bought an annual membership for him and my wife and me allows us to go to open court times for just $3.00. The vibe is 100% chill with really patient coaches who love the game and enjoy watching the kids get better and better. Parking is tight, especially on league days and in the rain there's a few spaces that have about 3" or water surrounding them. The bathrooms are typical for a gym, meaning they're kinda smelly and kinda dirty (nice job kid who pissed on the floor around the urinal). But the gym, for the most part, is well kept, albeit on the cooler side on cooler days. You need to bring your own ball and water and should have dedicated hoop shoes. In return, you get an indoor basketball experience on collegiate size courts. The main court even has high school, college and NBA 3 point lines so you can try your skills matching your favorite NBA or college hoop star. If your child is not Asian or knows how to play basketball he will be bullied by this kids and coaches won't do anything. They speak their language and they will not let your child play or train with your child. This is only for Asian community not for any other race or color but will gladly take your money. read more

I've been here many times precovid. I used to run in a Saturday basketball league that was hosted here. This review is based on my most recent experience during covid. I came here on a Tuesday night; I have a couple friends that rent out a court for two hours. It's nice to have basketball court finally open to play! However, it does come with a price. You have to pay to get into the facility and you also have to pay for the two-hour rental. Even though it's only once a week, that still adds up to about $50/mo depending on how many players go per week and what type of membership you pay for. FYI - if you're conscious about Covid, you might not want to play here. Wearing a mask is not enforced and there could be a lot of people in the warehouse at any given time. read more

Best basketball league for kids in the San Gabriel Valley. 1st grade through junior high, both boys and girls. Seasons start up every 8 weeks - 4 seasons of basketball, year round. Boys and girls. They also have daily group basketball lessons (skills training) for every level of player if you don't want to commit to a full season. Extremely professional and well organized. Our 8/9-year-old son has done three seasons, skills training, Thanksgiving break basketball camp, and Spring break basketball camp. Had fun and learned a lot at all of them. If you kid is just starting out, I highly recommend doing the skills training. It's once a week (or more, if you want), and it gets the basics down before doing the league. read more

This place is very similar to the HAX that used to be in the Hawthorne Airport back in the day, and the MAPS Facility in Garden Grove. It's a large warehouse with multiple basketball courts inside that is used for larger tournaments, private workouts and are available for rent by us common folks. What I like about this particular location is that you have to download the Prime Time Basketball app to access the facility. Through the app you can pay for a 3 day pass, memberships and an array of services. It is a simple way to keep track of all that the facility offers. Lastly, the staff was helpful (some people apparently didn't know how to download an app and register)and the facility was clean with hand sanitizers located throughout. La Puente is quite a distance from me but I can see myself coming back from time to time. I enjoyed myself and was able to get some great cardio last night. read more

Now the reason they only get two stars is that they get a very good amount of money coming in from there leagues and they don't fix rims there .. the second reason is they care to much about money by making the league 8 weeks and no playoffs ... so the top two teams play week 8 for the championship.. that leave the other 4 teams to play for fun... I only look at it as the only wanna make a profit and not about the people paying 90 for the league and another 20 a month for membership people don't even use.... If they were to fix the rims and make it a small playoffs they would have won me over ... till then stop being so damn cheap and fix your rims !!!! read more

This place is so dirty compared to many of the other gyms we have visited. It is a reflection of the players, parents and community that uses this gym. Candy wrappers, trash and bottles left on the floor or couches. Your mother doesn't work here so have some respect and pick up after yourself. So gross! Cool place but could be so much better. You can tell they don't put any time or money into the facilities. Courts are slippery and need cleaning and waxing. Bathrooms are disgusting. Lighting is terrible, if you go at night it's dark and difficult to see well when playing. The fact that nobody really goes to play pickup is probably a sign. The men's league is unorganized and dangerous. They let players start fights with no consequence and the refs don't control the dirty play. This is an amazing basketball gym located in Hacienda Heights. There are three courts, lots of lighting, and huge fans for ventilation. Good amount of parking but there's also street parking if the lots are full. The owner is such a nice guy and takes time to answer any questions. My favorite thing about this gym is how clean it is! This private basketball court is tucked away in the La Puente area of Los Angeles (west Covina, Pomona, etc. our neighboring cities). I came here because it wasn't invite only invitation to play basketball. This tends to happen right around major holidays a lot of guys from the local LA basketball scene will come here to hoop together. They have three huge Fulquartz that have floors that are very well-maintained, clean, and provide awesome grip. There's plenty of seating for those people who are not playing and they're there to watch and/or show support. There is also a small area of weights here and a lounge area with a large TV also. It's the type of Jim that you wish you had in your backyard because you could play ball and you could relax and watch TV with your friends. All in all this is an excellent basketball gym and I am definitely looking forward to coming back again. read more

Luckily for you, this place offers all of that. I am new to this league but from what I've seen and experienced this is a great place for players of all levels to try their hand at competitive adult league basketball. Teams are assigned divisions based on previous experience in the league and playoff success. For example, a new team always starts at division 4, and can only move up to the next level if they make the playoffs in their division. It is similar to the relegation system in European soccer, and thus does a good job for keeping team levels relatively fair in each division and makes sure great teams cannot continue its domination in the lower divisions. While the team fee can be pricey for some, it includes referees and one of the most elaborate score keeping systems around. Through their online portal you can review each team's box score with the whole suite of the traditional measurable outputs, pts, fg%, reb, ast, to, the whole shebang. Courts are also kept in nice condition and there is ample space for visitors to watch during games. Lastly, the space also offers practice times for teams in youth leagues or other leagues. Came here for a company event where we reserved the courts for a tournament. Pretty decent courts. Friendly staff. Everything we needed was given to us came game time. I wouldn't agree with everything else. There's plenty of things that take away from making this place look more professional. Random gym equipment and pieces of construction almost court side. There's three lines for the three point shots: junior league, regular league, and nba 3 point line. Plenty of space for taking out the ball and the basket are the moveable ones you can buy at Big 5. Place is well lit. It's can get cold, so bring a jacket. But it shouldn't be a problem for the players who will warm up quickly. One thing that sucks is because it's inside a warehouse, there's a lot of echoing. There's street parking and a private lot inside a gate. read more

From not liking basketball to LOVING and CRAZY about it. That's what my 9 and 11 years old feel. I have heard about this place for a while but never really get a chance to stop by until this summer. They have great summer program and the coaches are all professional. The courts are clean and huge..... plenty of space to dribble. Definitely kids friendly. I've seen as young as 5 y.o dribbling and making it to the basket. Hours are great. It's an open court for adults at certain time. My kids have learn a lot about basketball, thanks to the coaches that are patience and professional.. Highly recommend this place to get professional training in basketball. I'm not a member of PTBA, but my son's basketball team participated in their "tune-up" games. They charge a fee for a team to participate, and that is totally fine. I have no problems with that whatsoever. But unless you're a member of their association, you have to pay $10 to go in to spectate. My wife and I paid $20 to watch our son play in two games on Saturday. And then another $20 to watch just one game on Sunday. Can you say highway robbery? read more
