I paid $200+ to make a reservation at this park for my daughter's birthday party. They have a splash pad I thought it would be a perfect location to host. The day of my event I showed up only to find out the splash pad was out of service , I was not informed about this inconvenience & when I requested some type of refund for the inconvenience and misinformation, the manager denied the request. read more

Very nice family oriented park, with a dog park inside. Very clean. Shady with lots of trees too. I noticed that two Picnic areas with covered tables, the ones between the baseball field and sandbox play area with Rockets,were individually lite up at night. That was my observation while leaving the dog park at night. Parking-HUGE! I noticed the best spot to reach all I needed was by parking off W. Rowland & N. Yaleton. I highly recommend using this cross street for meeting up with people for any reason needed for this park. Let Nature do what she does best. Ciao! read more

This park is super cool! Park check, cool playground even a water portion,however...the park is crawling with seedy people. I. Came with my son and nephew and they are everywhere, yes I am speaking of homeless. Its totally unfair to judge them but when there is multiple children present it just doesn't make sense for them to be hanging around here. They are always in the same area, what if someone needed to use it for a party or something, do you suppose they'd move? read more

We had some good times here in the last year, we even had our daughters birthday party here. But recently it's gotten a little sketchy. Like others have said, there is one gazebo where a lot of homeless people hang out. But now there are a few more people who hang out there regularly too. They seem to be special needs. One guy circled the play area staring at the kids and then when we were busy he stole my daughters bubbles and ran off. Then another guy was sneaking up behind me when I was sitting on the bench. I noticed him and looked at him and he stopped and laid down and acted like he walked all the way behind me just to lay down at that random spot. When we decided to leave he got up and just walked all the way back to where he came from, which was another gazebo where him and his friends were. And they were all just staring at us. I'm not sure what's going on here, but we decided to not go back to this park anymore. Which is sad because it's a decent park with nice families. read more

What a cute park chock-full of things to do. There are tennis courts, baseball field, a splash area, a playground and several picnic areas. There are several picnic areas available for reservation and because the park is long and narrow, all the parking are close to your reserved area. You might say there are not enough parking spaces, but by some miracle, there were a couple available in front of the reserved picnic area. It's very nice that they have a permanent structure set up. Maybe back in the eighties or even through the nineties, this used be a decent park in a decent neighborhood, but not anymore. Yeah since the nineties they've added a dog park and water features. But caliber of visitors is just questionable. I was walking past the park just today and I see a guy next to his vehicle, shielding his privates with his open car door tinkling in the parking area when the restroom is just within a minute's walk. He had his back turned toward the sidewalk and the street so he didn't realize that people can see him. And then also a fully grown man, maybe in his thirties or forties, talking real loud on the phone while leaning against his vehicle swearing that he didn't snitch on someone he was talking to. Dog poo all over the side walk around the park. It's understandable how the house across the park has not been sold though it has been on the market for months. I mean in any other neighborhood, given housing shortfall right now, it would have already been taken. Would I recommend kids and families coming here? Not if you want to step in dog poo and accidentally walk in on someone peeing in public or hear questionable convos between people. Now I don't hang around long enough to notice, but I also see other reviews on Yelp where they mention that the homeless and druggees hang out at this park. Apparently those "Neighborhood Watch" signs are just that, signs. If there were real neighborhood watching going on, this type of stuff would not be happening. This park was a great combo for my boys and dog as it had a splash pad, playground, and a big & small dog park altogether! The park itself is spacious and structured well, there are many trees and grassy areas with benches. There is ample parking around the park too! For dogs: water and bags available. Less shade in big dog side, but both are fairly spacious. For kids: great playground, rocket ship themed play area, one for older kids and one for toddlers, only con is the flooring, it's soft wood, so it's safe but not for crawlers or sensitive barefooted children. The splash pad opens from 10 to dusk, the area is not shaded but is gated. For adults: good spacing in between benches, easy parking, access to bathroom, paved area to stroll along the park. Overall a good experience, will come back! read more

I decided to write a review only because the only review left here is a one star. Now keep in mind we are talking about a park in West Covina. Not Beverly Hills. For a part in West Covina this is a good park. Great park for family gatherings, BBQs, birthday party's. Weekends it's always packed. Always full of kids, party's and a good time. If you know the area it's not the worse park at all. It's in the two for sure. Weekdays the school is a continuation school. Naturally the Riffraff high school kids will spill into the park. Good thing about this park is police (who do drive by a lot since the station is just down the street) can see everything. It's very open. Police will drive right up into the grass if needed. Now if your in a park at night... That's kinda your fault. Your on your own. read more

Came here for the dog park. They have 2 sections, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Everyone was friendly. They have dog toys you can use. The park was very clean. Easy parking. This is probably one of the coolest parks in the area. West Covina has been working on upgrading all their parks but this one takes the cake(Mmm cake). They have added a dog park called Central Bark and also a splash pad for the kiddos. I love taking my English bully Bruce aka my son to the dog park. There is plenty of space for him to run around and play with the other doggies. All of the dog owners are nice and loving to all the pets too. Bring a chair if you plan on staying a while cause there is only one park bench inside. The lighting around dusk is not so good either so if you don't feel comfortable sitting in the dark then don't come at night or at sunset. As for the splash pad... please have your kids wear some damn water shoes or sandals!!! It's nice and new but doesn't mean that there are no germs! My daughter loves the water play and there is nice ample seating around the splash pad so it's easy to keep an eye the kids. There are always (and I mean always) parties crackin at this park. Doesn't matter what day of the week it is either. With that said, that means that there is a lot of trash left behind which to me is really sad. This park would've got four stars for all the cool amenities but the trash just kills it for me. read more

If your bringing kids go on the weekends to avoid "shady people" doing "shady things" if you know what I'm hinting at. The kids love the mini water park that they have. My favorite part is the elote lady that's always there. My recommendation is to AVOID the bathroom. It's disgusting in there. Luckily we live a couple of blocks away so we just drive back home whenever someone needs to go read more

A coincidence earlier this evening when I arrived to Del Norte Park. It just so happens that there was a little league baseball game in progress. I'd like to refer to situations like this a surprise visit from an old friend that goes by nostalgia. Life hits me with unexpected plus one's. Although I embraced it with open arms/momentarily became a spectator my purpose here was to make sure my furry companion enjoyed herself. Music is essential for me where ever I go. This is an amazing dog park. For one its HUGE, and has a great water play feature close by which i can't wait to take Zeus in the summer time :) My only complaint was insufficient lighting at night and no access to bathrooms later since they close the park restrooms at 6. read more

I went during the day so I don't know what the evenings are like. They have a mini-water park that's great for the kids. The facility is clean and maintained. There is also a dog park attached to the park. There is a big jungle gym for the kids to plan on as well. The parking in on the street. read more

Took my fur babies the other day for the first time. I've nvr seen them so happy . They're social butterflies! Lots of dogs and kids. Very nice place to kick back. Ok... So I know we're in a drought and the parks are looking dry and sad but today was my last visit to this park !! It's just Not safe!' I've been bringing my granddaughters to play here for a few years and noticed more and more people just hanging out looking to get into trouble( hope your picking up what I'm saying) but today I notice someone trying to take my bag and overheard a woman tell another mom not to take her child to the restroom there was a couple doing drugs in there!!! Maybe it's safe here on weekends (I'm not willing to go back to find out) but on the weekdays there are no families, only random groups of loud and obnoxious teenagers cursing and leaning against your car. There were also a handful of working guys (I spotted 4 tow trucks and a random car with a half naked really large man sleeping inside) hanging out during their lunch break. The play area has very old and dirty equipment. The grass is mostly dead and was uncomfortable to picnic on not that my girlfriends and I wanted to stay very long to picnic once we scoped out the scary scene here. read more

Good park for kids. Have visited the splash pad twice and my 3 year-old has enjoyed it. The park has looked clean the times I've been there. There is also some cool space-themed playground equipment that looks like a couple of rockets that kids can climb and slide down. read more
