I have a 2 yr old Blue Heeler mix, I wanted to get her out to socialize better and Camp Bow Wow offers a free first day. I was more nervous to leave her than I'd like to admit but every staff member was so welcoming and friendly w her. The cameras definitely helped calm any fears I had about her being there. They did an excellent job in introducing her to the other dogs one at a time and helping her feel safe. I will definitely be signing her up for more sessions and fun. One of our dogs had fleas They called when we were 6 hours out of town. Said they would give them a flea bath. They didn't. Kept them locked in small confinement for FOUR days and they didn't eat a bit of their food. Just picked them up and they are covered with urine. Not happy read more

I didn't like that the dogs have no grassy areas and basically run around a huge garage during playtime. My dog did not do well here. He has social anxiety as it is and the limited space, and lack of personal attention was not good for him. We go to Shady Acres now and he LOVES it. There he can swim and run and I feel like staff truly cares. Camp Bow Wow may be good for small dogs but not for large active dogs. read more

I took my dog in for grooming on Oct 14 2022. When I came back to retrieve my dog, the workers tried to give me a different dog. I proclaimed that it was not my dog, but they insisted that it was. This dog had a similar coat color like mine, but my dog is a male dog with a taller/leaner stature and curly fur. The dog they insisted was mine was a female dog, shorter and had straight fur. Plus, it did not greet me nor was not responsive to my commands. After 30 minutes of back and forth, they walked me outside to explain that they gave my dog away to a different owner. This is unacceptable!! They called up the other dog owner and after another 30 minutes of waiting, he returned with my dog. How did this owner walk away with another dog is beyond me. But, shame on Camp Bow Wow and this other dog owner for a horrible mistake. read more

I would give this place negative stars if I could. I'm sure that the staff that was present this morning is capable of managing easy going dogs that are familiar with Camp Bow Wow, but I'm certain they are completely incompetent in dealing with anything outside of that. Our dog came in this morning for an "interview". She is young and very timid and this is the reason we are trying to socialize her a little more. We arrived at our scheduled time, and out of the four employees that were at the front desk, not one of them could explain their interview process. They chatted amongst each other for a few minutes choosing what play area they were going to put my dog in, and then told me to watch the videos on the screen. I observed them placing my dog in a play area that probably had another dozen dogs in it. They had her in there for about five minutes and then they brought her back out to me and told me she wasn't having any of it. That she was very, very nervous and that she may have shown a little bit of teeth. ATTENTION CAMP BOW WOW: You can't call throwing a dog into a play yard with a bunch of other dogs within the first five minutes of their arrival an "interview". Spending some time with the dog that is brand new to your facility, letting them settle in a little bit, and then slowly introducing them to a few dogs to allow them to get acquainted and a little more comfortable with where they are is a freaking no-brainer. I guess I'll just consider myself lucky to have learned right up front that this is not the place for my dog. read more

We absolutely love this hidden gem for our dog, Ruby Rose! I feel at ease while Ruby is at daycare, knowing that she is in great hands with an amazing staff! She gets to interact with other dogs and campers all day. The campers monitor behavior and give dogs affection which shows they truly care! I can catch a sneak peek via webcams which always puts a smile on my face. Camp Bow Wow also sets up fun activities and events that Ruby has participated in. We took Max and Chloe for an initial visit and my wife was always looking at the camera feeds which was a great plus but also a distraction. ;-) Veronica has a walk around the place and it was all nice from the kitchen to the sleeping areas and there was not a smell of anything in the air so that is a good plus for us. The place was very clean and the staff was so friendly with Max and Chloe and the trial was very quick and they kept them for the entire day till 6 PM pickup They had so much fun and running around with other dogs that they when they got home.. they drank some water but not much but they also crashed in the living room soon and did not wake up till around 7:30 AM the next morning. Beware of this place. They will change your reservation last minute without notification, over feed your dog and they leave them kenneled for 90% of the day on Sundays. They take very little accountability for their mistakes and then decide to inactivate your account when you voice concerns. read more

We just starting taking our two year old boxer, Gunther to Camp Bow Wow in Hutto a couple of weeks ago. He's been to daycare 3 times and boarded for 2 nights and we couldn't be happier! The facility is very clean and the staff is awesome!! We peek in on the webcams through the day (HUGE PLUS) and he is having a blast! I have been taking my very well behaved small dog for grooming and have boarded her a few times and never had issues until this last grooming with a new groomer Destiny that clearly should not be in that business. My dog came home limping and the so called groomer claimed she was difficult to groom and had the nerve to tell me she would not be grooming her in the future. Thank God for that! The rest of the staff has always been nice and professional but just a warning for all of you pet parents, if scheduling for grooming at that location, hope it's not with this terrible person Destiny. read more

I cannot say enough great things about CBW Hutto. From our first interview for Doggie Daycare I knew we had found the right place for our Labradoodle, Charlie. Their facilities are pristine! Every staff member that I have encountered has been so kind and accommodating. I love that I can drop off my dog and check in on him via their app! I was pleasantly surprised by this gem tucked away in Hutto! The staff was super friendly and took great care of my pup. What I liked most is that dogs are separated according to size in the different play yards and are out most of the day. This was our first time for day care at this location. My dog appeared fine. I can say there wasn't any warm welcomes coming in this morning nor during pick up. This morning a young lady was assisting someone on the phone so of course she couldn't tend to me however she could have held up a finger for just a sec or some other acknowledgement of a customer standing there. A young man came out to assist. He asked who I was bringing and took my dog to the back. It was great that he came out to assist and took care of business but please attempt to smile and say good morning. It takes two seconds. During pickup, I said hello to the young lady at the desk when I arrived. She appeared to be soft spoken since I couldn't hear her respond to my hello. She asked who I was picking up. I told her and asked how her day was going just for her to engage. I will try this location a few times before forming any other opinions but I would say work on making customers feel welcome, smile and act like you want to be there. read more

I waited over a year to write this review because I wanted to make sure I was not writing it emotionally. We used to use Camp Bow Wow until one day they called me saying our dog bit someone and could not go back. Now one thing they didn't know was that I am that crazy dog mom and my video stayed on non-stop while I was at work. I was watching her play with the owners dog (who I have seen them have to remove several times from the play yard) and the owners dog put my dog down by the neck...which is how dogs play and/or tell other dogs/animals to leave them alone. My dog immediately stopped her playing and laid still. I saw the worker grab the hose and start spraying my dog who was laying on the ground while the owners dog had her by the neck. Then...surprise surprise the camera's went off. I called my husband completely upset and in the process of him calming me down they called letting me know my dog had bit someone and we needed to pick her up immediately. I asked to talk to the owner and she would not speak to me. I told them to make sure she was available when I got there and of course she was not. We told them we would wait so she had no choice but to come out. She would not listen to us and continued to make excuses for her dog as well as would not let us see or speak to the person who was bit and at one point a girl walked in and said it didn't even break the skin which the owner gave her a "mean" look. All in all I am glad this happened because I had no idea that my dog not wanting to go to the back when we visited was her telling me something more than she misses me. We now are at an amazing place that she loves to visit and barely takes the time to tell me bye before she goes to play with the amazing staff and her friends. read more

I would leave zero stars, if possible. we dropped off our healthy dog on Wednesday afternoon. he had just seen the vet days before and was given a clean bill of health. On Monday we picked up a very sick dog. He was returned with almost half the food I had portioned out. By Thursday, we were trying to get him in to see our vet. Friday he was in the hospital. He died in my arms Sunday morning. We were never called with any concerns and were told he did "great" when he was picked up. That obviously was not the case. CAMP BOW WOW HUTTO IS AWESOME!! I took my 3 fur babies (Foxy, Frito and Pugsy - ages 3, 8 and 12) there for their free interview. They clearly had a FANTASTIC time! I watched on the monitors as each dog was taken back and introduced to their fellow campers. Then I checked in often (via the canine camper cam) to grab screenshots of their Camp Bow Wow adventure. At pickup, I received a folder with certificates that they passed their interview w/ flying colors and a "D-tail" report on their day. I took advantage of the 3 day coupon for each of my campers and will DEFINITELY have them back soon and often! Thank you!!! read more

We take our boy Mo to this specific location in Hutto often. We try to be good parents, and fret over every little thing when it comes to Mo. We do not stress at all when Mo comes here. He loves this location. (Yes we tried other Bow Wow's and Hutto's location is the best for our boy.) We look at the cams often and see Mo hanging out with his buddies and staff regularly interacting with him and others. Yes, we balked at the location at first, and then realized it was NOT that far out of the way from HWY 79. The fact that it is tucked away a bit is perfect. Who doesn't want furry babies to get a bit of fresh air and less noise (not to mention a nice scenic ride for the pup to get the ears slapping in the wind to and from the location). And the owner, is often on hand and the staff are so welcoming. Look we are no experts on Pupper DayCares but this one really seems to fit our Mo, and that right there is the best advertising to us. Give this Camp Bow Wow a thought if you are in Round Rock or Hutto, we are sure glad we did! read more

We have been taking our pet to the Camp bow wow in Hutto for 3 years and only recently the reliability of this location and its staff has been substandard. For three consecutive stays out pet has been forgotten in her create. The first time we had to call and the representative not only was rude but hung up on us. I had to ask for the owner's number to discuss she admitted that this has happened before and she will fix the problem. Well the next time it happen again and the staff/manager fed us a bunch of lies as to why they forgot. This pass week the same thing happened again. They said she was out there but was sleeping. We watched the cameras for two hours with more than 20 dogs. SHE WAS NOT THERE. They continue to lie and the owner does not have any accountability for there employees and the lives of the little one they are suppose to be watching over. I believe they are overbooking and do not have enough staff to do the job. This just show me the greed of making money by overloading the number of dogs they should be boarding. I will be reaching out to the Camp Bow wow headquarters. The Franchisee owner is NOT upholding her end of the bargain. As of today no one has called me in response to my third complaint. I will not be going to this location ever again. The owner is obviously ignorant to the corporation's core values. read more

We continue to be profoundly impressed by Camp Bow Wow, its staff and level of service. We have two rescue dogs that can be shy and stressed by other people and dogs. The way in which the Camp Bow Wow team welcomed them in and the ongoing care and kindness is so wonderful! The facility is sizable with inside and outside play areas, as well as kept meticulously clean. The dogs com home happy and exhausted from quality playtime. We feel completely comfortable leaving them here. The boarding facilities are excellent -- more room than dogs receive elsewhere, which is important especially for our German shepherd given her situation before her rescue. We've also used Camp Bow Wow's grooming services, which are excellent for both dogs. Can't recommend Camp Bow Wow enough! read more

I hadn't had a dog in 40 years as I was SO heart broken when my German Shepard died. My husband (of 35 years now) had wanted a dog from day one of our marriage. I fought it and fought it and fought it, but four years ago he just got a dog for me for Valentines anyway. Bogart Dodson has changed my life. I'm a different person now with him and I am SOOOO happy Camp Bow Wow is open in Hutto! They care for my Bogart for day camps and overnight camps in an unbelievable way. We wanted to try Camp Bow Wow as it came highly recommended through a friend at a different location. Their facilities are clean and fairly spacious. They have your dog participate in an "interview" to be sure they're friendly with all dogs. They have you leave your dog there for a minimum of three hours to see how well they interact.. mine stayed for 3 and a half and that was all I could stand to leave her there for. Watching via their live webcam, my dog just stood around for the majority of her time there. Not a single staff member interacted with her. She would go up and wag her tail and they would walk away. She was also humped four different times by the same male dog (we're talking for like a minute straight each time) and no one intervened. When I brought up my concerns to the manager I was told they had a few new staff members and the dogs were antsy from it raining. We will not be attending camp bow wow again, I want better for my pup! read more
