    Koda and Lexi
    Tina D.

I had been searching for a kennel for the past two years where my pups wouldn't come home anxious or stressed, and I finally found it! Paws Landing exceeded all my expectations from the moment we arrived. When we checked in, there was a personalized welcome message on a small board, which immediately made us feel at home. The clerk who greeted us was very professional and took the time to carefully note special considerations, while also ensuring that every item we brought for the stay was accounted for and returned to us. What truly warmed my heart was seeing my pups, Koda and Lexi, so excited to go in. At other facilities, they would always pull away, but this time they happily followed the staff without even looking back. The daily pictures and updates were such a special touch, and I looked forward to them every day. Seeing them playing, relaxed, and happy gave me such peace of mind. It's clear the staff truly cares about the animals they look after. When I picked them up, there was no anxiety or stress at all, just two happy pups who clearly had a great time. Knowing they are in a safe environment with staff on-site 24 hours a day makes traveling so much easier now. Their level of care and professionalism is rare and deeply appreciated. I'm so happy to have finally found the perfect place for my babies. Thank you, Paws Landing, for providing a safe, fun, and loving environment. We can't wait for their next stay!

If you're searching for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable boarder/groomer, Paws Landing is the place. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Paws Landing in Leander, Pam, and her amazing team. My pup Bohdi stayed for 12 days, and being newly back in Texas, I had no idea where to go or who to trust. I am so very grateful I found this place. I always worry when needing to board our Bohdi and choose very carefully. My mind was put at ease once I visited to tour and met the wonderful people at Paws Landing. Pam and every team member treated Bohdi with so much love and genuine care. It was clear they adored her, and the way the staff connected with her made all the difference. Bohdi had so many other dogs to play with all day, every day-she was never bored or lonely, just happy and engaged the entire time. I was worried she wouldn't want to come home (especially making "Pet of the Week"). The facility is everything you hope for and truly run with heart. I received picture after picture and could tell she was having the time of her life. So much so we now take her occasionally for daycare. The groomer is fantastic and gave our pup the perfect Westie cut after her last daycare visit. This facility is an absolute gem!!

Our dog loves going to Paws Landing! He seems to be so happy there and have the best time. The staff is so friendly, helpful and welcoming. He can be a little crazy since he is still a pup and they embrace him with love. Highly recommended!

Paws Landing is our pup's home away from home. Pam and her staff are so great and are always so patient when our super hyperactive pittie comes barreling through the door! The facility is both indoor and outdoor which offers plenty of room for doggy activities. Our guy especially loves when they bring out the pool on hot days. We have used both boarding and daycare services and every time we know our pup is in good hands. Pam is very good about sending pictures and is responsive when checking in. We know it's a good time for our guy when he comes home absolutely exhausted from his play time with his doggy friends! We are so thankful for Paws Landing!!

Update: I really hate that I have to change my 5-star review. In fact, this is the first negative review I've ever given on any social media platform. However, after a 2-night boarding stay turned into a bill of over $600, half a day off work, and a pup in pain who had to suffer through two weeks of the cone of shame with absolutely no consideration from the owner, Pam, I feel obligated to share my experience.   We boarded our dog, Sam, at Paws Landing for two nights, with added-on daycare. Sam has been going to Paws Landing for daycare, boarding, and grooming since last September. In fact, I wrote positive reviews for them on multiple media platforms and would always recommend them because, like so many others, I thought Pam was so sweet.   I guess it's easy to give off that impression when everything is going right. On this particular stay, Sam ended up getting bitten by another dog during doggy daycare. Pam called me later that day (Saturday 7/27/24) to inform me about the bite. Looking back, I should have realized how strange it was that she called me later in the day instead of immediately after it happened. She mentioned that he was acting like it hurt but was still doing okay, and was even still participating in doggy daycare until they finally had to pull him out because all the other dogs were trying to lick his injured ear. She mentioned that they weren't able to get a good look at the ear because he would growl when they tried, but they were doing their best to keep it clean, and she recommended taking him to the vet on Monday to possibly get an antibiotic to prevent infection.   Although it wasn't the news we wanted to hear, we're reasonable people--we understand that these things can happen. Pam reassured me that Sam seemed to be doing just fine, and I trusted her to let me know if anything was wrong.   Sunday night, we got back in town, and my husband picked Sam up. They got home, and you could immediately smell the infection and see he was in quite a bit of pain. First thing Monday morning, I called the vet and got him an appointment. After taking him in, I emailed Pam to give her an update and ask if the owner of the other dog would be covering the vet bill. She replied, "According to the Paws Landing waiver that every parent signs, it states letting parents know of the risk of dogs getting into scruffles amongst each other while here. If need be, I will help cover part of the vet bill." Aside from feeling blindsided by that uncaring response, that same waiver also states, "Pet owner further agrees to be solely responsible for any and all acts of Pet Owner's Pet(s) while the Pet is in care of Paws Landing....." Does that not mean the owners are liable? I am giving her an extra star for offering to cover part of the vet bill "if need be." Even though I feel it was an empty gesture, I will still give her credit.   Honestly, it's not even about the cost. We understand that things like this can happen with dogs. We're upset because, after being loyal clients for almost a year, she hasn't even had the decency to follow up with us ONCE to find out if Sam was okay. The last thing she knew, he was being sedated so they could check on his injuries. It has been over three weeks and still NOTHING. Due to this and the fact that his injuries were downplayed (if we had known his ear was already getting infected and that he was in that much pain, we would have come home early from San Antonio or had our emergency contact pick him up and take him to get checked out), we will NEVER be back and are no longer recommending this establishment to anyone.

So kind of them to send a picture of our guy all tucked in for his first night of boarding.

I can't say enough about this place! Owner Pam and every single staff is so kind and attentive. Our two pups Buford and Fran love it here. They are regular daycare visitors and have boarded as well. The staff are always watching the dogs for activity levels and keeping them in groups they are comfortable in. You get photo updates, can bring them lunch if that's a need and the facilities are spotless. Boarding is fantastic and someone is there 24 hours so the peace of mind is unmatched. I recommend this spot to every dog owner. We don't have cats but they have a fantastic space for them as well. Our pups come home tired and happy!

Paws Landing is a great place to board your pet while you're on a trip. Leaving my Corgi can be hard, but Paws Landing gives me the peace of mind and confidence that Howie is doing great. I love that he gets time outside and isnt stuck inside all day. Their pickup times are much better than other places and someone stays overnight with the dogs. I love that he gets socialized with other dogs in a safe environment. I can rest assured my dog is well taken care of at Paws Landing!

Puppy crying all day for the third day

I used their grooming service three days ago, and the puppy has been crying all day.. want to be held all day. The puppy has been having tremors, too. I honestly do not want to write a bad review, but I am writing this so other pets are saved from this misery. The puppy was shaved to the point that the pink skin is visible on his knee and all of his belly and other private areas. They are having a contractor for grooming who is doing a terrible job. Dexter is a no-fuss, happy, obedient, playful puppy. The puppy has gone to the groomer at least four times prior to this to Petbar, Cedar Park, not once, and he cried or was fussy. All we told them was to do a shortcut, as it is summer (here they do not have a sample height of hair to cut to show how high we want. But never in my life of this puppy, I saw his bottom so pink and his bottom so pink, he has not been able to sit. We went to Petco and got calming meds and some gel for soothing. He stopped playing as he was in pain. You can see in this picture how pink his knee looks. You can see from these pictures how closely they have been groomed. I am never going to use their services!

This place has earned every ounce of praise it receives. My expectations as a first-time doggie daycare user were knocked out of the ballpark !! One of my two dogs was soooo nervous, but they totally understood him, met him where he was at, worked with him and by the end of the day he was having the time of his life. When I went to pick them up, I was so impressed with all the staff I encountered, they didnt just hand my dogs back over, they talked me through everything, I can tell they really paid attention to my dogs and their interactions, which I of course loved hearing about! I could just feel how much they actually care to get to know each of the dogs and parents well, they treat both dogs and parents as individuals and it is clear they are brimming over with care, knowledge, interest, expertise, understanding and pure LOVE. I was given a tour of the premises and the pictures just dont do it justice. It is a wonderful facility (and with a kitty haven too for the feline friends that stay!) Both of my dogs had a wonderful day, they sent me pic updates to prove it!, and both passed out cold with smiles on their faces as soon as they were home - a good sign! We will definitely be back!!! Amazing place!

    Dog

My dog absolutely loves going to Paw's Landing. He has been there for doggy daycare and boarding and he comes back completely exhausted from all of the playtime he gets. I love that someone stays overnight with the boarded dogs. Pam (the owner) is amazing, kind, and super helpful. I travel from Austin to board my dog at Paw's Landing anytime I go out of town.

We are so blessed to have found Paws Landing for boarding and daycare for our Great Pyrenees! He's always so happy at drop-off and comes back content and exhausted -- you can tell the minute you walk in that Pam and the whole crew really understand and love dogs, and the facility is new, clean and beautiful! Unlike so many doggie day care and boarding places, my guy is able to spend most of the day playing with his doggie friends and Pam is wonderful about sending me photos of him having an amazing time. I've taken my pup to many facilities, and hands down, Paws Landing is the very best -- plus the onsite grooming is super convenient and very reasonably priced! I'm so grateful to Pam and the whole crew and will never take my pup anywhere else!

We do have to travel frequently and Action Pack has become a 2nd home. We no longer live in Liberty Hill (we actually live 2 hours away, and do the drive and plan all flights around ensuring we can bring our boys here). One of our very first stays our older dane had a health emergency, we didn't even see the issue prior to dropping off and within a couple of hours we got a call from one of the staff and they managed that visit end to end for us. They got him to an emergency vet, stayed with him for awhile, then once he was hydrated and well did the driving to pick him up, and then adjusted his care for extra attention once onsite. Our two boys are vastly different in age and play needs, and pretty joined at the hip - they modify the play for our older boy, even when they have a yard full of dogs, they can tell when he's reached his limit and just needs quiet. They are so attentive to know that our younger boy was struggling without the other and got them back together again. Here we are 2 1/2 years later of using them soley and when we arrive our boys eagerly hop out of the vehicle and run in and then anxiously await to go back to play. We have used other places and have watched our dogs panic and put the brakes on and refuse to go through the door. They have absolutely never hesitated here. So grateful for the care and attention they place on our fur family!

I am extremely disappointed with our experience…read more Our dog is a very anxious dog, but she has never shown aggression toward people or other animals in our care. After boarding her this time (we've been customers there for years), we were told she displayed behaviors such as growling and was no longer welcome to return. What I find most concerning is that this facility also promotes dog training services, yet there was no effort to discuss what may have triggered her behavior, offer recommendations, suggest training options, or work with us on a plan for future success. Instead, we were simply told not to bring her back. I fully understand that any boarding facility has the right to make decisions based on safety concerns. However, anxious and fearful behaviors are not uncommon in boarding environments, and I expected a business that offers training services to have a more knowledgeable and supportive approach. As pet owners, we trust boarding facilities to care for our dogs during what can already be a stressful experience. Rather than feeling supported, we left feeling judged and dismissed. If your dog struggles with anxiety or fear in unfamiliar situations, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those behaviors are assessed and managed before booking. We'll gladly be taking our business elsewhere and won't be back with our current dog or any future dogs.

They gave me updates and I appreciated the postcards/Facebook posts about many cat's well being. When I went to pick him up, I was impressed by how clean the place was, considering how my cats and finches were present. My cat's room was very clean, with a big window, the jungle gym setup, and a loft bed. The kitty litter had added fiber pellets, which I hope he liked since he hates sawdust litter. They gave me back everything that I left at dropoff, plus a toy. My cat was very calm, coming by his own free-will to greet the handler. To me, these were all green flags and I will highly recommend Whiskers to anyone needing a safe place for their kittens and cats to stay for a short (or long) spell. They know cats better!

So I call at 5:22 to see how much longer being that they close at 5:30 and was told they where still backed up and hadn't started on my dogs yet and also they would be done in a while . Ok so I don't care what the excuse is ,I have no clue if the dogs are in cages with water or have been able to use the restroom outside their cages for at least 8 1/2 ho I've avoided places like PetSmart foe this same reason . They say oh your pets just fine we have water and we walk them when in fact they don't leave their cage for like 6 hours straight and don't have water bowls either . Even with water sitting in a cage waiting to be groomed from basically 9:00 am to past 5:30 is insane . At this point I'm within reason of being upset to a certain degree . I get they are behind maybe lack help or whatever but damn if you had too many cuts lined up for one day all you had to say was sorry we are booked and left it at that . I appreciate taking my dogs in but don't understand how a small poodle and Shih Tzu take 9 hours to get groomed . Even with doing one dog an hour which i doubt is the case you'd had to have had 15-18 dogs or more all before them if you had two groomers at the least . Even if you had only 12 dogs before them that's way to much do offer to cut in the time you guys open and close . If it's not then why is taking so long?
